Yes it would be sad if the City Council messed with those park benches..they are very unique. Although it is better to improve things, its only right to keep historical artifacts imo. Weighing scales were always a thing in public areas. Thank you for sharing your walk around the city too Daniel 🇷🇴🚶‍♂️

Maybe they could have saved a few of the scales and benches, cleaned them up and repainted them, and put them in a museum? Or maybe in a certain section of the park for people to enjoy? Something other than just discarding them (and erasing a piece of history). -Daniel

Let's hope they did preserve them and/ or put them into a museum. Oldest Park or Gardens in Bucharest I believe. So glad it is being renovated💯

Nice place, Romania is not the first country To go. Been In 24 countries, many of them many times. Love check repibublic and northern Italy. Hungary seemed To be so much poorer.

18:20 Guess this was filmed last year in 2023 ? that Cismigiu park should look way better now !
Just 1 month ago they started the refurbish of the park and to improve the park overall with new things added , and gave it a new fresh and modern look they even change that old furniture and rebuild the roads there , and added several new thigs that weren't before , they put few millions euro , into it i read ^^
The should finish the work there and fully refurbish that park in the next 5 months according to the news article i read recent !

Yes, September 2023. Nice to hear that they are refurbishing the park, but I sure hope they don’t get rid of the artifacts like the benches and scales. They are of historical interest, if nothing else.

@@WheresMyMap Think they will actually replace all the old furniture ^^ it really needed a new look and a new life into it .
that park was abandoned in last years , and it got a little rundown lately. Even the roads where full of cracks, holes.
So nice to see its getting the attention it needed now.
