I left my ex in the middle of the green card process. After he got his conditional green card 3-5 months later after we got a kitten I wanted a baby and he said we were never having kids. I thought he was joking. We talked I night. I left him the next day. I will not give up being a mother for anyone. I was and am devastated I only wanted one marriage and I am so young still. Looking back on it we were young madly in love. We lived together at his parents. Got married 9 months later, 6 months later started the green card process. Our second anniversary passed on June 1. My ex claimed I didn’t file the I-130 while under oath and on court documents. I was completely duped and not a part of his scheme to defraud USCIS. So he meant to say, I didn’t fulfill my obligation to take care of him (after supporting him for 5 years prior to his arrival). So my understanding is that the affidavit of support is my responsibility of providing for him if he becomes a burden on the government (like financial assistance). What do you think? And also my ex makes 6 figures a year, drives 2 luxury vehicles and owns three trucking companies…and he’s lying just to keep his player lifestyle and women in line 😂
The affidavit of support can only be used to maintain the immigrant at 125% of the poverty guidelines. That number is approximately $18,000 for a single person, so if he makes more than that there isn't much that he can do to enforce it. If his income drops below that amount and the affidavit of support is still in effect, then he might be able to enfroce it.

You think he went there and got his citizenship to come back home ? That's a terrible situation. The divorce judge is a part of the state and is unrelated to USCIS (a federal agency), so you should ask a TX divorce attorney about this.
Hun..USCIS would love to have this information sent to them. Hopefully your friend has already done this so if the separated spouse filed the I-751 without your friend’s knowledge since 2 year green card holders are instructed to file this form at least 3 months prior to the expiration of the conditional card. If your friend is afraid of retaliation and you’re not, send a tip letter. The letters stay with that person’s case.I am a former officer and came across situations like this before..
If this is true, then how my ex was able to get citizenship through marriage with his own cousin?? And USCIS swallowed this bs. He divorced her after long time ago. Now he lives happily ever after.

Marriage fraud is when the immigrant spouse marries solely for an immigration benefit. Generally this happens when an immigrant spouse deceives a US citizen spouse, or compensates that US citizen spouse to engage in a sham marriage for the purpose of obtaining permanent residence.

You need to be in a valid non-immigrant status if you want to adjust status to permanent resident through a permanent resident parent. If your F1 is no longer valid then that probably isn't an option.

Yes. In fact, they can be stripped of citizenship if it is determined that they obtained that status through fraud.
@@DarianLaw so true, it’s happening as we speak to my ex! He divorced me and that’s when ICE snatched him up. A clerk at the courthouse stated she sees it all the time where the immigrants file divorces and are deported prior to the completion of the case. I do wonder what’ll happen if the immigrants are deported before the case is resolved?
When are they ever held accountable? I have so much evidence on someone and nothing has been done.
@@amiehopkins I honestly don't think they care.
@@DarianLaw. I was married to a Man who only wanted green card. When I found out his true motive I with Drew all my applications for him which were accepted by immigration , but he filed a False VAWA case and he was given 5 years until the VAWA case expired because they had no real evidence of any violent act . I was never even interviewed by immigration to find out my side of the story. Is there a way to ask immigration to change the way they handle False VAWA claims . This needs to stop because people are abusing it and ruining the reputation of the US citizen spouse .
What if someone applied and they want to cancel the process before it starts?
I been trying to figure this out I’m tired of talking to automated systems

Thanks immigration lawyer 🙏
Adultery nullifies the contract.
Adultery does not legally nullify any marriage contract in the US.
What if the person tried to fraudulently marry me and was already currently married to another spouse?
My husband married me to receive green card which I didn't know until last month He applied for I-751 on May 30th, I don't know how to withdraw the form because it's a joint form. Thank you for your help.
You can send a letter to USCIS indicating that you wish to withdraw the I-751 and that you do not want to jointly submit it because you do not believe the marriage was entered in good faith.
@@DarianLawMy marriage is in good faith. I married in Africa. We have been married 2 years 5 months. I submitted spousal petition last year. A year and a month later, I got an RFE. My husband is from Guinea 🇬🇳 I have made 3 trips to Africa to be with him, the last one lasting 5 months. I just sent the response to RFE last week. What would be the next step? I planned to go back to Africa for the holidays to be with my husband, but we decided for me to stay and wait to hear from the NVC when our paperwork gets there.
She marries her dad and he kills her everytime and comes sit next to us during breakfast... where's my yellow car that was supposed to be delivered to the person with the pokemon watch ... 🎉
Can someone Qualify for a Vawa if they have been found to have committed marriage fraud ?
Nope
I need some assistance in h1b marriage fraud
9the domenicas do that often ..i met 4 when i was in usa they ask me 10 k to get married and give me the green card...i guess they need more money to live usa those domenican eat a lot of platanos..thats why they need money
I really don't get why somebody would accept such a low price. It's years where others will avoid being a relationship with and a lifetime of not being able to say they've never been married.
we know clearly what will the imigrant facing after got caught with fraudulent marriage. But, what happened to the US citizen? will he get punishment like cannot make other petition for his real spouse later in the future because he once involved in fraudulent marriage?
The US citizen can face 5 years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
How will I know I’m in a marriage fraud when I’m from other country?
How will I get divorced if it’s a marriage fraud?
Marriage fraud is when the immigrant spouse marries solely for an immigration benefit. Generally this happens when an immigrant spouse deceives a US citizen spouse, or compensates that US citizen spouse to engage in a sham marriage for the purpose of obtaining permanent residence.
I was looking for Greencard Status
If you are genuine about the marriage you wouldn't need to watch this video.
Hello sir, you are one of my favorite attorney. I would like request you to make one video which is contents will be unlawful entry an alien present in the United States who has not been admitted or paroled & applied asylum but asylum case got dismissed by immigration judge. During this period alien got married with us citizen and applied I-130 (approved) & I-485 (pending). What’s going to happen next?
Great idea. I will make that video in a few weeks. Thanks!
Can I shed light on a company who does this? I want them to fall...but it's 2023 who cares.right
I’ve met a man in Australia!
My spouse has committed a marriage fraud in United States of America!!! 😂😂😂
What if your the American who got tricked .
Happened to me. She married someone else and somehow got a waiver. But became a good citizen, I think. At the time, it hurt like hell. Alot worse people to be concerned about. Best thing just tell them to CYA and move on. Definitely tell them because you don't want to be accused of being complicit.

I have a question im a us citizen and im married to a nigerian guy who move to the uk on a fake relationship with another woman can he get deported back to nigeria
I don't know the answer. I'm not licensed in the UK and can't give legal advice about UK immigration law.
I got a question
How to report a marriage that was based on getting immigration benefit only within the 2 years?
Any advice?
How to avoid marriage fraud.
1. Marry someone who is already an American citizen as well.
2. If they're not willing to take the alternative route of naturalization. Red Flag!
It appears they don’t do anything. I have so much evidence on someone and nothing has been done. People openly share their crime and nothing is done about it. They also have accomplices who are not punished.
Why the fuck would you go and marry somebody who is not a American citizen when your main purpose is obtaining a green card wtf
After uscis denied a green card for marriage fraud can I remarry in the future for green card
Yes but you need a hardship waiver

Sir i have a question please reply my question. I came here as a F1 student and applied for asylum and my asylum is pending. My parents immigrant visa is processing and they will be here within 6 months. My question is if my mother petition I-130 for me can i do adjustment of status with my pending asylum application. My age is 20 and i am unmarried. Please reply me.
You need to be in a valid non-immigrant status if you want to adjust status to permanent resident through a permanent resident parent. If your F1 is no longer valid then that probably isn't an option.
Thank you
Are you serious? U got to talking off topic and never explained wt if they find Marriage fraud. We all know they get barred but what else.
I married this woman from Colombia. We got married and 45 days later she took off to New York to become an escort. Kept promising me every month that we would get back together to drag it out. Turns out she was lying, I found her on sugar daddy websites and I found her escort ad on bedpage. Do you think I have a case or should I cut my losses and just not fight it?
