MW monk has been my main for years and it’s so nice to have the flexibility and viability this season has brought to them. And to not be instantly declined for PUG keys 🤣🎉
Actually wish you would do a video discussing the different builds and playstyles of mistweaver, seems like a lot of differentiation between builds which is good, but can be overwhelming as you said. So a breakdown of the different builds and how to play them would be good.

It's about time!!! I'm still traumatized from season 1! MW monks were HARD AF and weak but fun. I left 11 months and just returned to an OP main! :D I'm jut hoping we won't get nerfed into the dirt and left in the dust yet AGAIN! 😭
It's so nice to go back to mistweaver main after all this time of alting it on and off when resto shaman/prev evoker have been shining - it's a fun time to play and mw is popping off in keys
I started playing my MW a week or 2 before the pre-patch buffs came in and immediately fell in love. I am a serial alt-a-holic, but I've barely even logged in on my alts, better yet done any meaningful content on them. My group of friends will run alt keys, I still just keep playing my MW. I ran LFR this morning just because I wanted to play my monk when none of my friends could play, knowing full well literally nothing would be an upgrade for me. I truly wish I played this class so much sooner, it is arguably the most fun I've had on any healer.
Havent raided with Monk but I do Mythic+ - I am having fun with MW and mana havent been running out mana. Spin to win has been fun and Tiger palm and blackout kick are welcomed changes. Exspel harm gets me out of trouble. Stomp is frustrating because tanks kite away from the stomp so i have to redirect stomp. I raid with my Holy Paladin and push higher keys with H-pal. Holy is amazing fun to play too.
Tried mistweaver back in season 1 but couldn’t get the hang of it, now idk what changed but it feels good to play I always feel safe in keys I run with it there are some things he that could be changed I’m sure but mw feels amazing
Are the holy paladins asked to beckon the fistweaver? lol The misty feels very good. I haven't grinded it as much as you so when I swap from one healer to another there is a "period".. if I haven't played it for 1 week or 2. lol I try put similar spells on the same keys to keep it simple. Obviously. My last run I completely forgot about Zen Pulse, even though it's on the same button as all te big oh shits for other classes. Good job! lol
I'm almost done gearing my priest and plan to also play the hell out of monk. It was mega fun last season and it wasn't even that good compare to other healers in m+.
I'm resto druid main from around legion times and I wanted to try MW. The issues I have is that the healing "rotation" is not really clear to me. Will you be doing a guide Mads ?
Healing rotation is dps rotation with added in heals in case things get spicy. You can even bring this M+ build play style into raid and do extremely well
As someone new to Healing, and just played mistweaver. I have no idea if I’m doing well or not. They are a bit technical aren’t they? So many things to keep track off.
mistweaver monk is definitely fun and action packed primarily because it is a melee healer. youre in on the dps action all of the time because of spinning crane and blackout kick. you also have two massive aoe heals to keep the group alive during big damage windows. sheilun's gift and revival it would be a shame if blizzard nerfed them but even then I think I'll still main on it. resto druid is probably the most boring and difficult healer. after 2-3 keys of applying hots over and over again you just get bored. also if you have bad players you have to work twice as hard in order to keep them alive. since you need to give them big emergency heals as well as your HoTs which doesn't give you time to dps.
I feel your pain. Mistweaver has been giving me a sirens call since they gave us fist weaving but I’ve always said no I am a priest main I am a priest main but dear lord is monk so 👩🍳💋
Why does everyone go Chi Burst in all the talents? I don't ever see a time when someone would use it or ever use it myself. Wouldn't it just be better to use Chi Wave considering you can use it while running?
My only complaint is the new Tear of Morning build in raids currently, it just feels bland compared to the rest of the builds. Like, sure, make it viable for those who like it, but now i feel pressured to play it in Mythic. On something like council all i do is spotheal and stand still in the middle of the room. Standing still on one of the most mobile classes in the game should be illegal. I wanna play Ancient teachings in raid :C
I played mistweaver before it was cool. ;) But yeah, mistweaver feels pretty good now, and its nice that it performs well too. 👌 The lack of range still feels horrible though.
Well I only play wow when monk is decent or viable, last season I quit half way trough the Mythic progression, personally i see a lot of people not understanding that (IMO) mw monk is the hardest to play as at the top level, it requires prior knowledge of dmg phases and proper setups for doing high hps, now that might just be me but having a mw monk in a raid and properly allowing him to do proper ramps he will do insane hps, but if he overlaps with other healers there will be significant hps loss. Personally i am having a time of my life right now because i know nerfs are comming and blizzard is known to hate monks in general so just enjoying the whole build for as long as it will be here. what i think they will do is reduce the mana tea efficiency (both mana regen and mana reduction) because that is the only thing that is op about the build, and the only thing that is making it viable since a lot of spells are extremely expensive. Lets hope he dosent get nerfed soon so that we can enjoy it longer
I really enjoy MW this season! I played it since DF but always felt bad for spot healing now with tier set and vivify buff it junks :D Playstyle was always fun! But now it also has the power to carry groups !
It's only op if the pugs aren't constantly needing focus healing. With pugs i still have to stop a lot and channel soothing too much. Seems to mute the point of a fistweaver build.
You still need to SM for heavy single target dmg unless chi is up. At what level are u playing? +20 and up seems fine. Players still need to pop def so unless they do that don’t blame yourself
I6s, I don't blame myself as the healer, just time is valuable so if I'm going to time it with pugs I have to use my raid build it seems. I don't have 4 set yet though, so not sure if that is causing this as well. Part of it too I notice is with dh being meta as well their seeming to have a hard time grasping the point in staying close to the falene stomps.
@@chadjohnson8527 2p and fealine is more than enough in the beginning. Aslong as you get chi harmony youll heal alot more. Raid build will be just be mana hungry and no dps. I played fealine first week with blue gear and T30 4 piece so its more than capable. Fistweaving is really really really good you just have to adapt to the playstyle. Put an EM on the target who takes dmg and continue dps and youll see them going up.

I started maining Monk in WoD because I loved the green beams with Soothing Mist and Jade Serpent Statue, that hasn't changed. Unfortunately, M+ is what I do and any build that uses SooM or Statue cannot do any respectable DPS. Fistweaver is fun, but it's not the Mistweaver I fell in love with. This season I have been playing more Resto Shaman and Holy Paladin despite how good my Mistweaver feels.
I’ve mained mistweaver several times since mop, my favorite healer for class fantasy, but the dragonflight iteration has been terrible. Finally it’s good, everything feels impactful. Of course it’ll get nerfed into the ground, blizzard hates monks. It’ll be a shame. I like both styles for their respective content. That seedling trinket is busted.
MW is fun but search up how to play mw you get lbninja and megasett that's about it. Do hpal there are pages of it people doing this trying that. Monk as a whole is represented by some of the better players that just know how to play their class, but try and research how to get better it's just not there. Yes cutting your teeth doing dungeons can happen but that anxiety of not know how to deal with that eventual oh crap un prepared is rough.
Imo it's why I think monk is pretty fun also though you can press buttons and make decisions on stacking blackout kick or using it for cleave heals, especially when you pop out chi ji

Blizzard will let hpal dominate mplus for 2 yrs but will nerf mw for being for for 2 weeks.
Don't worry HPal was fucked in SL with nerfs and It got 1 good season in DF and got fucked again so yeah just soak in the pain 😂

I hope they don't nerf as well. The Yu'lon ramp is not 'easy' and is easily missed. Those getting top parses are working for it, IMO.
It is such a BORING way to play the class but it is insanely strong. Feels like old disc ramp 2.0. I'll stick with 200k hps with fist weaving.

You should check out Bowserthehealer or Megasett. Really great places to start.

They are on the more complex side yes. Megasett has some really nice and fairly easy to understand guides if you need to expand your MW knowledge.

Okay but I’ve seen multiple occasions of mw monks in blues and purples out healing their better geared by a wide margin (in raids).

The only reason why I'm not playing mw monk it's because is melee I don't enjoy playing melee because I get lost or bad positioning in melee
Im mw main and i dont mind if they cut healing a bit. A very least in m+ feels op

As a veteran MW, grinds my gears a bit the fotm rerollers. It was ALWAYS this fun. Y'all were just too obsessed with the meta.

Nerf MW in pvp.
My main concern is too many buttons. I think dps rotation should be simplified. Blizzard should combine tiger pawn, and 2 kicks into 1 button.

I think the rotation is pretty simple. Just press rising sun when active. TP twice and BO once until its off CD. 5+ mobs just Spin to win.
Monk should be nerfed, its too ahead. -10%. it will still be strong but fine.
100% will be nerfed to the ground
