When i was a kid i used to enjoy playing DW6 with my elder brother, at the beginning we played as a Guan Yu(him) and Zhang Fei(me), though we didn't even know that they were brothers. Yi Ling, tbh, was the hardest battle for us, but at that time for me DW was just a game. And now, 8 years later, i lost my brother, i truly feel what Liu Bei felt when he heard the death of his brother Guan Yu... Everytime when i listen to the YiLing song of DW6 , it always associates with the time we spent together with my brother, such a warm days...

dw9 is the only of the themes that captures one thing the others don't: Liu Bei's anguish. All the others focus on revenge and anger and how Liu Bei was betraying his morals for vengeance. Wall of Silence captured the pain Liu Bei felt with that decision.
Tbh,overall for me is The Battle without justice (Dw6) and With Vengeance (Dw8) Is literally my favorite Battle Of Yi Ling's theme,I actually can feel the vengeance over Liu Bei when he realised that his sworn brothers were dead by Wu,and it's like the rage inside of him was explode and begin his vengeance. Even though at last,he cannot have his revenge for his brothers. But he still known as The Saintly Ruler of Shu,Tbh I love how he was a Benevolence Ruler though :3

My personal favourite, ranked from best to worst: DW4 (just) DW6 DW5 (again, just edges DW9) DW9 DW8 DW3 (both versions doesn't really matter, but I like the Wu theme better) I mainly rank these in order of the emotion they make you feel, considering the battle they're supposed to play on. DW4's is just straight up depressing, same with DW6, DW5's is like anger in soundtrack form. DW8's seems a bit too lively IMO.

DW9 version to be is the best version of Yi Ling theme. You can feel the anger and sadness of this battle in it.

Even after awesome tracks for Yi Ling, Avenging Battle is still epic for me! The majestic feeling it contains does not contain in other soundtracks!
