the problem is the rate at which characters keep being cast as minorities that were not in the originals and people are not asking for it. it’s not a one off situation , studios are giving this directive and even have diversity hires to forced certain races to get into certain positions for optics rather than picking the best qualified. i’m a minority and i don’t need to see a mexican captain america to feel represented. give me a good movie (that doesn’t feel forced) and a good script and good casting. same can be said with male roles being replaced by women and these women are infinitely stronger with half the effort. these box office numbers don’t lie , if people wanted this the numbers would be much higher but they tend to flop.
