Part of Costco too is that they serve such a wide variety of clientele that they can't go super seasoned on the food. Older people can't have salt, some people don't like spicy, some people don't like it caked on so they temper the seasoning because of that. It allows customers to season it more if they like.

The good thing about store premade food like that is even if it’s not great you can still do something with it to bring it out. In my experience if the cost is low I know I need to do work for taste. But with the cost of eating out from restaurants if it’s not near perfect we got a problem lol
Mid is what it is made to be. It’s bulk pre made meals. Sauce and season the ribs, throw in the broiler and shred on top of the mac n cheese. Yummy
I recently tried Costco mac seasoned up hella well and it turned out good! After broiling it in the oven it was honestly pretty great

The aggressive punch you in the face mid is so on point I bought that mac & cheese ones and had to add so much cayenne paprika and Italian plus Asian seasoning to that to make it somewhat possible it was it was a problem

Costco's baked goods are easily the best thing they've got in terms of prepared foods. Their muffins and croissants are pretty good as well as the OG rotisserie chicken.
agree, I also fw their stuffed peppers. They are good if you want something decently healthy and don't wanna prep it yourself.
You should try the Just Bare chicken fillets/nuggets! People say that it tastes exactly like chick fil a, so I’d love to hear what you have to say about that.

Dave like any other prepare food , you need too add season on it . The ribs was bake , no sauce, no season . Most stores a hold over time to sell hot food .

I do get the wings and ribs, but I get them uncooked. I will smoke the ribs, and sauce them with the family's favorite sauce. The wings I use the 0 to 400 technique on my smoker, then I will add my hot sauce of choice if I want some spice. Sure its not great food, but you can feed a bunch of people and it works.
🤯 didn’t even know they had pre made food lol. I go all the time and buy bulk non perishables and bulk meat for big gatherings. Also electronics they be having good deals 😂
Edit: I bet the Mac & cheese missing seasoning most ppl miss that essential part. The cinnamon roll can’t be mid because idk how you mess up a cinnamon roll but shall see 😂

I do recommend the double chocolate tuxedo bar cake if you do go back, I think that one in particular is amazing.
Also speaking of vanilla ice cream their has yolks so extra creamy
if you ever go to trader joes, the tv dinner style butter chicken with basmati rice is pretty good along with the steamed chicken soup dumpling

I love mac n cheese. I don't expect much from store bought, I figure as long as it's edible. The best fast food chain mac n cheese to me is Chick-Fil-A. How does Costco compare to that?
I always liked their rotisserie chicken or Alfredo pasta. I never expected anything major from it, besides Costco caters to old people and wealthy uncultured folks with little taste buds in my opinion.

only thing I get at costco deli are the rotisserie chicken cause its $4.89 and the deserts cause those kind of go hard. All the other stuff is hella mid. Maybe try the stuffed bellpepper is has really good flavor.

Dude once I got the pre-made chicken Alfredo I even seasoned it heavily and it was still bland literally one of the worst premade meals I've ever bought which makes me sad cause I love Costco

I used to be a big fan of the Costco mac the first couple of times I had it. Idk if they changed something, or it just got boring, but now I don't even bother wasting my calories on that stuff.

Their rotisserie chicken is okay, it’s just cheap and just has salt. You can make broth with the bones so even more value.
@@allanpeter7700 Haven't had it in a few years about way back when I used to work at Costco like 20 years ago it was top tier easily and I'm not even a huge Chicken lover or anything. Everything has salt now sadly. But from what I recall their chicken compared to their cafe, the chicken was much more enjoyable.

I can't speak for Costco but I know for a fact that BJs Wholesale just repackages a lot of their frozen food for their premade stuff. The wings probably taste storebought because I bet you they're Kirkland Signature but cooked a bit and thrown in a tray.

Costco food is the same as their product . By a big quantity for decent quality. Bakery is always solid. Their actual butcher meat is good as well.
