Surprised your insurance was so cheap. I did an online quote and it was double yours. Have had one on order for a month so I have time to save a bigger down payment and hopefully the new tax credit. Thanks for the video.

Great video! Interesting to see these numbers. We have a 2022 MYP and in Minnesota our insurance is $703 for six months which is about $117/month. We also had a thick STEK Prismatic PPF wrap on all painted surfaces. I paying an additional $100 for six months to cover the wrap on any surface damaged in an accident. That said, those prices include all sorts of discounts like senior citizen, no moving violations, no accidents, non smoking, vegetarian, and a special discount for guys named Tom. I am talking to the insurance company about getting a discount for the PPF since it protects against damage. I will let you know how that discussion.

Nice Miker! I’m from Canada. Glad you made it up north of border. Confidence is key with DIY, good luck with the PPF. Are you going Matte? For what it costs to do full front with somebody else doing it, best to just do full body matte if you have grey or black paint imho. Looks awesome.

Thanks for the break down my credit union gave me a 2.4% interest rate credit score is high they sent my check out today it’s getting to Fremont tomorrow, I already email tesla the screenshots and I am getting my car on Friday ,I think I am going to stop by Thursday going to do a little sneak peak like you did . In Australia the LR is expected to be around $100k (AUD) includes all taxes and luxury tax.
Insurance will be around $2k - $2.5k/year
Registration will be around $700/year.
Have a P on order - $108k. Insurance quotes around around $3k/year.
Is that in Australian Dollars?

Im happy my waiting is paid off. Order model y from nov last year, my delivery estimated on jan 2023. And qualify for tax credit $7500, so my tesla model y only $52000.

I switched from a Cadillac XT6 to a MYP and my insurance DOUBLED. I have a clean driving record and excellent credit.
Rumor has it that Tesla insurance is coming to Florida in OCT…. I sure hope so!!

My insurance is only going up 11 bucks from swapping it out with my 2020 kia soul. I have 2 other vehicles as well so that probably helps out a lot. My Tesla model y performance only will cost me $111/month and I turn 24.

Hi Mike... Great informative video.... I am looking forward to watching you PPF your Y . I am going to do the same when my Y comes in Oct... Oh i am in the same boat with you when it comes to waiting ... I purchased mine in Nov 21... Its ugly to be put off again and again . Great to see you received yours.... I would ask a favour .. when you start you PPF can you show your prep before PPF (wash, clay bar and alcohol prep)and will you be removing your front wheel well mouldings that i see other PPF installs do... it so I can see how to remove them...... if you decide to do the same.. thanks Andy

Got a model S plaid at the end of June. Don’t know if it’s software or electronics, but side mirrors, all windows, steering wheel, drivers seat, and control of AC vents has gone haywire. Saved settings no longer matter, they all move to random positions in their own. Hope it’s not a Lemon! Got appt next week. Anyone experience this?

Well the order fee of $250 is all you pay until you take delivery, then you pay the balance

@@hassanmohammad1516 I had a 2020 BMW X5 when I bought the Tesla and it was more to insure as well. Even Tesla insurance was very close in cost, within a couple dollars, to Geico.
Man your insurance is cheap compared to California. I pay 403 for a 2017 maxima , highlander and 2021 range rover sport. When I get the tesla it will be an additional 200 month.

It was the august 2022 price, which was higher and the FSD at $15k, which i removed before delivery
