This is just my opinion. It seems the reason you wanted to hike the AT is the experience, challenge and the community. I think you have conquered two out of the three. You are missing out on the community bc you are walking so fast and you are doing a lot of miles. Every time you talk about meeting up with people you light up. It sounds like you need the community to make your hike truly a memorable experience. Your call on what you want to do. I enjoy watching your videos. You are doing a great job.
I agree. I am sensing you are losing out on some trail enjoyment by trying so hard to crush miles. But if that is what you like then all good. Just sayin
Stella, I don’t think you’re meeting many hikers because you’re ahead of all of them. I’d guess at your pace you’ll be one of the first twenty to Katadhin.
Looks like some nice weather you had for hiking and catching some great views on summits 🍀 and woo-hoo on 300. You probably should pace yourself down a notch or two and not over stress your whole body. Not trying to be overly critical, just don't over do it if your body and especially your feet start telling you to slower the pace down. But anyway, it's great to see your progress and always hike safely, smart and keep that pretty face smiling onward like you always do. Lots of good vibes and loves ✌️🍀💚 Happy hiking!!!
Makes sense they have two paths. Those rocks would be really slippery in a downpour. Glad you could go that way, the view was worth it. Then 300 miles! Woo Hoo! You go girl! Well maybe after you get some new shoes for your sore footsies. Thanks for posting!
Uncle Johnny Hostel is great. Just off trail , easy resupply and good showers. Excellent stop! Just some thoughts. Listen to your body ! Your to early in your hike to be ignoring the signs and the walk is LONGGGGG my fellow hiker. Adjust your pace from day to day. It’s ok to set goals but don’t overlook the present and what your body says. That’s how hikers end up injured and off trail. I saw a lot of this on my thru hike in 21. Many happy steps for you Keep on trucking Smiles for miles ! Cha cha cha Edge 2021 AT 🤍
Stella, do you have a cork ball, golf ball, or tennis ball with you to roll your feet out on? If not, it may help to pick one up. For me, they are worth their weight in gold. (And so is a great set of orthotic inserts)
300 miles already! Wow. 🎉 Keep going, but take care of your feet... The stile at about 14:46 reminds me of the ones I used to see all the time walking in the countryside in the UK.
Sooo enjoying your journey! Congrats on 300! Looking forward to seeing how you decide to proceed - drop to low 20s?/take more frequent neros?/ switch to breathable low-top Altras? All best wishes from the west coast of Canada!
Wow, 300 miles. Congrats. You seem to be really enjoying yourself. I love that. So, you are collecting leaves on this hike. Hehe, hehe. Keep trekking. 😀
Cool, I have stumbled across your AT hike. I followed, watched and commented on several of your PCT videos a few years back. I’ll be following along on this journey. All the best!
Have you tried the cork balls on your feet? Bad bat purchased one for her aching feet and loves it. You roll it under your feet to work out the aches. It has been fun seeing other thru hikers meet fellow hikers along the way and the fun camaraderie they have. Check out Chasing Blazing and Couch to Trail. You’d enjoy their channels. I wish you had others you meet along the way. Oh. Bad Bat is also a fun gal to watch. Anyway. Take care of those feet. Hope you can get new boots soon. ❤️🌲🌲🥾🥾🌞🥾🥾🌲🌲❤️
When I was in Maine we were hiking and the springs had water, we never filtered it.. it was the best water I ever drank. Why filter spring water.. I can see if it’s in a stream, etc, but when it’s coming out of a pipe that should be safe.. I’ve drank lake water many many times and never got sick.
I feel bad you haven’t found any other hikers! I’m following other people on the trail and they are in groups. I wonder if you’re way ahead of everyone because you are booking it!
I own the same high top Altras. They are much more narrow compared to my low top Lone Peaks. I really prefer the wider toe box. Would never get high tops again.
Fortune Adventures may be near you. Slender guy, dark hair, white beard, in his 40’s. He’s a quick one as well. Chasing Blazes is with/near a young guy named Noah and an older guy. Very fortunate that you all got out a bit early. Bartman and .7 are up there because they have slack packed most of the way.
No. It's not. Don't hurt yourself, tho. Do what makes you happy. 'No rain, no pain, no maine' . . . Drink. Lots of water, watch your diet. Get ample rest. It's a long way, ya' know'? 🌌
Would be interesting to hear gear updates as you go along. People curious about the shoes in the comments, as am I. Seems odd to use the high top Altras, I assume there’s a reason for that. Also curious how you are layering and what the temperatures are since you are changing your clothes regularly (which is good and fine, all part of temp control, but just wondering what you’re doing/thinking in real-time). Enjoying the screenshots from your app which put another perspective and show what hikers actually see/think while on the trail. Although people cheer you on for the miles, most people here worried you’ll hurt yourself without enough breaks. I share the sentiment. Also, consider doing totally different kinds of videos…just to experiment and have fun. Maybe a full day with no talking and no selfie videos. Just the trail and nature. See how much you can ‘show’ without ‘saying’. We know a water is beautiful without your saying so, for example. But it’s tricky to film it just right. Might be good to get extra footage and take a zero to rest your feet and experiment with the videos. But what you’re doing is great, and not a criticism.
If Stella can squeeze in the Longtrail, she'll accomplish 2 thru hikes and will only have to hike about 147 miles the Vermont Long Trail. And .....if she can pull off a yo yo, including the Vermont Long Trail, she'll only have to hike katahdin once and accomplish 3 thru hikes in one year. STOP AND THINK ABOUT THAT!
You are screaming fast most take there time in the first 2 to 300 miles letting there body’s get use to the beating and building up there miles slowly. As I said before it’s not a race beautifull lady!
Congratulations on 300 miles! Thanks for sharing your adventures. Cheering for you!

Seems like a charmed journey so far, weather-wise. Such a joy to watch you take on this challenge with style and grace.
Congrats on 300 miles! Big hiking days, hope your enjoying your trek!

Woohoo!! 🎉🎉 300 miles!
💥300💥 Even with sore feet, you manage to smile. I hope you can get a new pair of shoes you like. ✌️
Congratulations on 300 miles! You'll be in the Roan Highlands pretty soon. I can't believe how fast you are!
YAY 300 MILES! Ok, I'm all caught up on your AT videos & will be watching! Awesome meeting you!

I’m following you from day one and enjoying your amazing journey. You are amazing!! From Australia wishing you the best!❤️❤️
Enjoying the journey , haven't replied daily because I been watching on TV . Glad you've met some hikers. Good Luck and God Bless !!!
I remember that hostel. The 5 G was great there. My trail friends Old Skool and Serendipity brought up sushi for trail magic.
You are amazing and an inspiration! Thank you for sharing your journey with us!
Stella - you have a smile for TV. Really enoying your energy and can't wait to go on a thru-hike myself. Keep going!
Stella, do you have a cork ball, golf ball, or tennis ball with you to roll your feet out on? If not, it may help to pick one up. For me, they are worth their weight in gold. (And so is a great set of orthotic inserts)
Girl, give your feet a treat! They're working hard, they deserve new shoes.
300🌻🌻awesome. you are doing great. enjoy the quiet in the hostels, when you get into the bubble everything will be crowded.
The sun always brings joy! Well, maybe not for hot July hiking but at your pace, you will be close to done by then! Way to go on 300 miles behind you.
Yes I agree with commenter stating that you are ahead of the bubble. Congrats on your progress. Enjoy and take good care of yourself.
Congrats on 300 miles. Take it easy. You only need 15 miles a day to make it. 😎👍
AVERAGE mebby

Congrats on 300! Thanks for the Trail views!
Thanks!
Stella strong! 💪🏼 Enjoying your videos!
Hey Stella! Congrats on 300! You are motoring! Also, welcome to Madison County, NC. I live about 10 miles from Sam's Gap.
You’re an inspiration!
Sooo enjoying your journey! Congrats on 300! Looking forward to seeing how you decide to proceed - drop to low 20s?/take more frequent neros?/ switch to breathable low-top Altras? All best wishes from the west coast of Canada!
Lots of miles🌲👍
300 miles plus!!! Great job.

Good Morning! Looking Good! Looking Strong.
Total miles: 327 from Amicalola Falls: 317
Day 18 miles: 25
Avg. miles per day: 18.1
Estimated days to Katahdin: 104
ZERO rest daze 🥴??🤯🥺

How do you keep that food from spoiling? Especially that slaw?
What is that 20:45?
What brings you joy? Big mile days or connecting with other hikers? It seems that this early on in the season you can't do both.
Some real style on stile at 14:55!

Do you wear shoes that are 2 sizes larger for you?
❤
What number were you when you registered? Gotta be way ahead of everyone at your pace! :)
Her day 1 video showed or stated #164
164 but she is no doubt way a head of that by now. Now she is probably in the top 10 or 20.
I just want to let you know you have officially hit the big time as a youtuber....
Know how I know????
I'm getting telegram spam on my comments....
🚶🏽♀️👍🏻🙂

Started kinda EARLY?? 🤯👀🥴
Yeah, you're way way ahead of the crowd. And strong mileage too. Maybe do a yo-yo and you'll get to see all those coming behind you. 🤣
You being ahead of the. Bubble will allow you greater availability in the hostels
Nice routine/agenda Stella 😁

people can't keep up with your amazing pace. LOL Yet anyways
It's a hike, not a race.
First thing you shouldn't be eating in the shelter. That's why there are animal problems in them.
You are screaming fast most take there time in the first 2 to 300 miles letting there body’s get use to the beating and building up there miles slowly. As I said before it’s not a race beautifull lady!
Ditch the caffeinated gels. They dehydrate you. Please don’t ever hitchhike as a single female. That could be your last adventure!
Did I catch you are vegetarian? Pushing your body this hard, you may want to include meat.
I love what @Early_Riser_71 said to Nyx on Day 12.
