There are specific instructions on how to download it inside the pack! You can get it here: www.pointsofmeasure.com/shop/digital-patternmaking-rulers (if you're looking for instructions on how to add a Library to Illustrator I have a video on that here: th-cam.com/video/iuxq_bkuMLQ/w-d-xo.html)
Hi Mélanie! All you have to do is double click into the group and select the pieces you don’t want and hit delete. Alternatively, you can right click the object and choose “ungroup”
Hi, just purchased these digital curves from you. Do you have plans to have the hip curve available. I make men's pants and would love to have it as well.
Hi Josh, thank you so much for your purchase! I really appreciate your support of my business. The Variform Curve that is included in the bundle you purchased acts the same as a Hip Curve. However, if you find that a traditional Hip Curve ruler is vital for your process I would be happy to add that to my product development calendar. Alternatively, if you need it sooner I'd be happy to create a custom project for you. Let me know your thoughts on this, you can send me an email at hello@pointsofmeasure.com
I'm just beginning the process of moving my pattern making into Adobe Illustrator. I am used to working with physical rulers and paper. When doing the side seams on mens pants, I always gravitate to the hip curve to do the side seams on the front. The vary curve I find doesn't have the right transition. It's not an emergency, but I will buy the hip curve from you if and when you make it available.@@POINTSofMEASURE
@Josh Latham the new update for these rulers just went live! It now includes a hip ruler - thanks for your suggestion. You should see the free update in your inbox :)
Absolutely! After you ungroup or click into the grouped object, use the scissors tool (shortcut "c") and click on the line where you want it to begin and end. Then, select the parts you don't want anymore and delete!
Hey, thanks for your question! I haven't used that program so I'm not sure. I just looked up the file types it accepts and it looks like EPS works with inscape. That's not provided in the bundle - but you can just email me after your purchase and I can send an EPS file over to you that should work with inscape.
@@mettepetersen3280 Not seeing an email from you... did you send it to hello@pointsofmeasure.com (or you can use the contact page)? I can definitely provide you with an SVG file, but it won't be as editable as an EPS. I can provide both and you can decide which is right for you!
Are you not able to move the entire object? Or are you not able to delete the extra lines/numbers? If it is the latter, be sure that you are double clicking into the grouped object (or right click and choose "ungroup"). If you are using it from the symbol library you will need to click the button labeled "break link" which will be located (usually) on the right tool bar under "quick actions" or on the top tool bar (depending on how your workspace is set up). If you are still having issues feel free to email me at hello@pointsofmeasure.com and I can help you troubleshoot!
I will soon start to practice.
could you please elaborate how to download ruler

@@JoshLathamMVC awesome! Thanks for the feedback! I will take this into consideration for future product launches.

I did! Thanks a lot!
Hi - I can not figure out how to cut the line. Can you please explain exactly what to do after I ungroup the ruler?
Absolutely! After you ungroup or click into the grouped object, use the scissors tool (shortcut "c") and click on the line where you want it to begin and end. Then, select the parts you don't want anymore and delete!
Got it! I had smart guides on, and so it was making the scissors tool not work. Thanks!
Can I use it in Inscape program
