At this point its beyond disgusting and I just don't care anymore. If they lose to Northwestern I'm done for the year. Can't wait for basketball and wrestling
@@rayowens7459 I was done for the year when they started Petras in this he first game. However I brought myself back and said well, they said things would be different let’s see…. After the first loss I said no more. This is the same terrible crap as last year only worse. After the first loss I no longer watched on TV any more, concentrated on fall yard work and only keep up on the outcome of the game with you guys here on TH-cam.
How many "isms" is "The Dean of College Football" trying to be accused of with the football program? His legacy is taking a serious hit and Gary Barta is not either suspending or replacing anyone. That does not bode well for recruiting regardless of how bad the coaching is and has been for years. If I were a prospective student/athlete with an offer from Iowa, the personal off AND on field behavior and actions would eliminate Iowa from my choices. The numerous legal cases are tarnishing the program and impacting the ability to lead young men towards success when you aren't leading by example. The hostility and unprofessional retorts by head coach and OC are below reproach. Your 10 wins last year were a fluke, as were most of your successes. A lot of the multitude of close "wins" could have been losses by way of virtue and luck. The blowout wins are far and few between. This is not an exceptional program in coaching prowess. It has produced about 30 NFL players over the past 26 years. 30 who have been able to maintain contracts over multiple years. That is not worth $100 million dollars, or however much he has earned during his tenure (roughly $4 mil/year avg incl. bonuses). Division titles are a joke since the West is barely competitive vs other Power 5 conferences. Lack of Conference titles, 30 out of approximately 2000 players becoming NFL players, and never reaching the CFP are nowhere worth what this program should be getting in return. Cut your losses and move on with something better.
Its 100% clear that Brian nor anyone else watches game film to understand what plays Petras can handle. Take the top 7 or 8 plays that are his highest completion percentage and go with it. But to start the game with the one play he cannot do at all is laughable. Petras should audible out of dumbass plays that Brian calls. Also, if Padilla is not the starter this weekend, then he was set up for failure to prove some silly point. This entire situation has become disgraceful.
Anyone in chat ever play even a couple of versions of Madden video games? Every year they change the playbook. Wonder why??? Because all of those nitwit little kids you play against online learn them so quickly and know how to defend them very quickly and EA Sports wants you to spend your whole paycheck to try to overcome the embarrassment. Kirk Ferentz is stuck on the Tecmo Bowl playbook in a Madden 2022/2023 world and he could care less if the fans are paying his check for this abomination. OBTW, Kirk would get destroyed by a pre-teenager in a match-up. The kid would be able to explain to Kirk how to exploit weaknesses and actually put the ball in the end zonewith an offense. Oh, and also teach him that punters in video games are not a winning strategy. I'd rather watch that than what is being presented to us from these millionaires.
As long as Iowa is going to play like the old days, that is line up and run over the other team we will lose. Young guys don't want to be part of a poorly designed offense. So they better get some young blood in there coaching and play calling. One example of what I mean, is look at Jake Rudolph at Iowa and look at him in a different scene at Michigan. I think Petras could be viable if he had more than 2 seconds to make his reads and not get sacked. In the few times I've seen them play the opposite QB has twice the time as us. And it is the same in othér conferences too. We have to go to playing modern football or it will be the end of recruiting and that's hard to get back.
Hawks will only be favored, (maybe), in one game, Northwestern ! Purdue, loss Bucky, big loss, Gophers, Floyd heads north n Nebraska ends losing streak Will someone step forward to save the football program ?
No No one is going to step forward when Ohio state, Michigan, Penn state, Nebraska and Iowa are the most valuable programs in the big ten and Iowa is the 21st most valuable football program in the country……worth about 10 million more dollars than Clemson mind you…
Iowa is ranked last in pretty much every offensive category and the o-line is the worst I have ever seen at Iowa so it is really hard to tell at this point
15:00 excellent point!!!
Can’t run our running scheme when you’re not allowed to cut block anymore.
Michigan game proved that point 🎯🍻
Good stuff men!
Iowa football needs radical changes before we turn into Nebraska
Let’s have Petra’s roll left first play! He is excellent at throwing…oops…interception on the first play! Oh well we are trying REALLY HARD!🎃
Is the depth chart out yet? (For QB)
It says Petras or Padilla. Petras is going to start

Never talk to ex players their loyalty is to there coach they can not answer honestly. They care more about preserving their past.
Hawks 26 NW 17
(if Padilla starts)

Best case scenario is
Go 6-6 and go to Detroit
And get beat by a MAC team 🎯👍🏽
Iowa doesn’t need a bowl. Celebrating this crap is the worst message you could send right now.

Iowa’s best running this year has come out of the shotgun.
do the dew
I know Iowa didn’t play well. Do you think OSU just has a really good defense that contributed to it.
