My son is called Greg after the genius that was Greg Lake.
Life is not the same without Greg and Keith. I think my ELP brothers would understand
Greg and Keith would be so Proud and Honored by this moving rendition. It brought me to tears. Thank You Aaron for carrying on the Emerson name. Geoff Downs is Still Brilliant after all these years.👏👏👏👏👏👏😢💔😢❣️
Geoff Downes hasn't stopped performing "after all these years". He played in Asia for years before Wetton's death, has been playing in Yes and also his side project 'Downes Braide Association' which have released 5 albums to date.
Thank you Aaron for this extraordinarily passionate rendition of "Lucky Man." Your Dad would be very proud!
Your father was a wonderful pianist! Thank you
Back in 1970, Keith's "Lucky Man" Moog solo was so totally unexpected on hearing the song for the first time, I was very emotional, then, when that first portamento note came in, I was so blown away... I was approx 16 1/2 years of age at the time. Aaron's solo was just as unexpected and again, what an emotional moment watching this tribute. Wonderful job!
Incredible performance! What a tribute! I cried when Aaron played his father's Moog solo at the end. 😭
Same here. That low note that I heard decades ago resonated as deep now upon hearing and seeing Aaron play Keith's Moog. I'm in tears.
Lindo demais!!!❤❤❤❤❤
😢 missing the boys...as a whole and individually in their own right...
Nice! RIP Keith & Greg
This is just beautiful. My son is named Keith, after the master of the keyboards. Miss you both Keith and Greg. 🎹🎸
That added YES lick in the solo *chef's kiss*. [2:40]
Whole thing was fantastic, well done. :D
Thank you Aaron, I see Keith and Greg Smiling in Heaven , you are ALL wonderful 💖💞💖
Fantastic rendition of a brilliant composers art! From an age when music was often about great concepts, intense insight, and universe meaning, and not just emotions and a beat. So fantastic to see such a musical legacy pass through the next generation.
That was absolutely fantastic. A fitting tribute. Well done, gentlemen.
Gorgeous. Gorgeous. Gorgeous.
Chills. Tears.
Happy birthday, to my first keyboard hero.
Keith and Greg are sorely missed.
I only want to hear lake do this song
What a sweet rendition. To those who seen ELP live, how fucking lucky were we! 🕊💖🎸
Why is this not on ITunes or Apple Music I would but it for sure.
These guys have to make more, a lot more music just like this.
Somebody who knows them please tell them.
It’s blowing my mind.
🙏🙏Keith and Greg
aha amazing quote close to the edge in Bonilla solo
You caught that too, huh? Score yourself five prog nerd bonus points. LOL
Yes! I mean, agreed! Lol
Glad others caught it too.
This is really beautiful!!! (Close to the Edge motif in Marc Bonilla solo !!!) Peace and Love for All !!! 🙏
Thank you everyone for your beautiful tribute! 😅❤ Made my day!
Beautiful! Made my husband and me, both, cry. Thank you for posting.
¡Excelente homenaje!
La música de ELP vive en nuestras mentes, oídos y corazones.
Thank You Aaron.
Gracias a todos los músicos.
Greetings from Fray Bentos, Uruguay.
That keyboard at the end NEVER FAILS to give me chills. Haunting haunting song. Great job here!!!!
Your dad’s music was there for me at so many points in my life. It’s been part of the soundtrack of my life. Thank you for your voice.
2:45 Close to the Edge quote
Yes, clever that, isn't it.
ELP, Yes and Genesis seemed to be in a constant battle in the NME awards for a few short years in the 70's.
02:40 to be exact
CTTE..clever
What a great version of this timeless song ... Thank you for this!
It is a great performance my favorite part is AARON!!!! Shades of his father on those keys..RIP Maestro
Beautiful heartfelt rendition! Love this so much!❤
This tribute is beautiful, but it hurts the heart 😟
50 years after the original recording, they have not been able to re create the original power of the Moog in the mix
Bottled lightning.
Well, that's well played and everything is perfect. But I believe this is a song that no cover version can do justice to. Lake's vocals are absolutely essential for this song. And, of course, you don't need eight musicians for such a simple piece of music. Sometimes a great idea is destroyed when too many people are involved, when too much effort is applied.
Yes! Beautiful! One of my favorite songs ever. Never stop listening.☮♥
Das geht voll unter die Haut...🙏🧡🙏
Отличный кавер. Сделано с уважением и любовью к оригиналу ведиких ELP. Спасибо.
Absolutely top shelf rendition of a killer song. Incredible musicians on this as well. Nice work gents!
Thank you Aaron and all the guys. Emotive
Very cool! 🎤🎹🎸🥁🎶
absolutely beautiful and a fitting tribute to Keith and Greg ... I still miss them so much x
ABSOLUTY EXTRAORDINARY CREATIONS !!!
Very very cool.
I have no words. This brought me to tears.
Fantastic!. I shuddered to hear the modular moog in Aaron's hands.
I love it! Exciting to hear Keith's original Moog synthesizer, played by his son.
❤. Wow. I grew up with the vibe of ELP. Greetings from Indonesia.
Love it! The nod to Yes at 2:41 was pretty cool too.
Mark throws in a bit of Clost to the Edge! Nice!
Love this immensely! Fantastic job here from everyone involved! Thank you!
Playing the classic Moog solo on his dad's own instrument was awesome! Thanks Aaron!
Beautiful rendition of a beautiful song. Thank you for sharing 🙏🏻
Absolutely phenomenal!!!
Welling up to this many thanks
amazing!! the sound of the original Moog is outstanding
Brilliantly Done !!!
Greg and Keith are smiling down on us. This was fabulous, you made our day. Thx so much! You and your family are in our hearts!!
Nicely done! Thanks for bringing that great song back to life!
Wow! That was just incredible. Well done!
Greatest keyboardist in rock history...Keith Emerson RIP
O yes great song from a great group 🎵🎵🎵🎵
Great! Two lucky men now, I'm sure.
Fantastic version of such a beautiful song, it brings back memories of times that were good. Back in my hippy days I had a black Morris Minor with a gold ELP motif (Brain Salad Surgery) painted on the bonnet, they ARE my favourite band of all time. The mandolin sounds spectacular.
That was really good.
Magnifique et émouvant hommage ! 👍👍👏
Awesome!!!!
Wow, fantastic rendition of the original!
That's great 👍 beautiful version of a classic 👋👋👋
A lovely, incredible performance by all. Thank you so much for releasing this video.
Someone explain to me the reference to Close to the Edge (Yes) in the guitar solo. Incredible!!! what good taste!!! That moment of the solo is a musical date perfectly well spent.
I believe Geoffe Downes who plays intro piano was in Yes for a while and Greg Lake filled in for the Yes bassist.
@@matthewwest3405 Greg subbed for bassist John Wetton in Asia (which also featured Geoff Downes). See Asia in Asia release.
Excelente!
Evocative
Great
Totally beautiful!
I cannot take of my head the voice of Greg Lake.
A beautiful tribute, beautifully done!! Typing this through tears!😭
Didn't know what to expect Greatly surprised, well done!! (Drums sounding really good)
¡Sencillamente magnífico!
Un gran clásico para un emotivo homenaje 👌
A truly wonderful job by all! Brought tears to my eyes. I miss Keith & Greg so much, I wish they were still among us.
Really touching!...why Palmer is out of all this? It would be great if he made an appearance himself... what a pity.
I wondered exactly the same. This is such a wonderful, poignant tribute to both Keith and Greg and Palmer should have been there.
He's touring I believe with Jon Anderson
@@bkpktrekker4086indeed but not then, now; he's just finished the first leg, and will be back on Sepember. This video is from last year, hosted by Keiths son, Aaron and the cooperarion of Regina, Greg's wife. Contributions can be made at a distance, with all the technology available. Carl Palmer should have been in this tribute.
Great job!!
Whoa, what a synth, Aaron!
OMG! Excellent! And you play the Moog solo exactly like your father!
Beautiful
Se agradece el tributo. Esta lejos, muy lejos...
Very nice Aarin....would love to hear you play "Blues Variation"....
The acorn don’t fall far from the tree.
Great work 👍
Wow, fantastic version. Masterfully done!
Gave me chills ❤
Wonderful! ❤❤❤
Beautiful!!!
Exellent!
This one Rocks!!!
Beautiful! 😢
I was working on an AM radio station (very early 70's) when Lucky Man first came across the turntable. Wow it was such a different concept song, we rode the audio to the limit (red lined it) and when the moog hit that huge bass at the end ... the transmitter farted and said can't do that, and switched off. Needless to say we did it again !! Once we got the tx going again. LOL
A forever song in my playlist .. thanks for sharing and caring for this great song and it's memories. Well done!!
Sensational, thank you! Always loved the simplicity of this track and how it came to be on the album and how it was created.
Wow! Great song, great job!
Aaron you have been a bit of an enigma to me for many years ... I love love love 'Conclusions' and then you seemed to disappear - did I miss something ?... how good this track is no surprise from that POV ...but it has been a while eh ...do more Please!
Absolutely wonderful ❤
Just WOW you did the tribute well. Thank you
