Ryan, I hope your trip is safe and brings you what you are seeking. The religious ceremony is called a PUJA, ( pooh-juh); important to respect the traditions of the people and cultures of the mountains. Namaste.
Hey man, been trapped in a wheelchair since 2019 and I’m also tuned into this adventure! We are living vicariously through your adventures Ryan! Rooting for you man!
Ryan, you sound to me like you got little cold .Look after your self, please ! I am grandma and worry for you young people climbing ?! I never have opportunity when I was young but enjoyed reading many books written by big climbers in past 20 years . I admire brewery of you guys ! Can’t wait for another video of your climb. Thinking of you and wishing to you and rest of climbers safe climb and safe return ! Gramma Ana 🇨🇦🇭🇷
Greetings from England. I'm so glad I found these videos Ryan, they bring back so many memories. I did a charity trek to EBC 9 years ago, but unfortunately only got as far as Lobuche when I had to be helicoptered back to Kathmandu due to altitude sickness, it was so disappointing. Good luck for the climb and stay safe, I shall be watching with interest.
That must have been a bummer. Altitude sickness is apparently indiscriminate in who gets affected - fitness isn't a factor, so you just had bad luck essentially. I hope your sponsors still paid up for the charity😅.
Good luck to you. I recently been to EBC and it was a memorable journey. I am so happy to revisit these places through your videos. I wish you all the very best for your upcoming days. Namaste from India🙏
There's a name for that back flip--youthful energy, folks... 🤣 Thank you so much for the rope and hardware lesson and demonstration. That was super cool
5:02 just a suggestion it would be better if you put extra carabineer in the front hole of jhumer (Asscendor) Because sometime rope gets out of the jhumar so extra carabineer at that hole will provide you extra safety!Best of luck I just started watching your vlog and it is good.Almost watched all part of Everest. And I'm from Nepal thankyou so much for visiting Nepal.
Greetings from 3000 meters in Colorado where I live! I don’t know if I would be able to hike and nasal breathe and I have a head start where I live! Good for you, you are inspiring and doing the thing I only ever dreamed of.❤❤❤
So exciting. Did you ever hear the story of Marco Siffridi? Succeeding snowboarding down Everest once wasn't enough. The second attempt went wrong. But he was amazing young man.
These diaries are so great - good luck for the rest of the trip and looking forward to the updates as you progress. What's the plan for uploading content as you ascend? Is there a connection at the higher camps?!
Bro great videos, please keep them coming. Also, can you share what's the best time of the year to trek to Everest Base Camp. I am targeting next year.
Imagine spending all that money and time getting to base camp and need to helicopter out because of a back flip failure. Stay focused dude. There enough dangerous stuff up there to deal with. Great vids!
@@RyanMitchellYTEase of use can be critically important high up when the oxygen isn't getting to your brain so well - the temptation not to bother with safety devices gets much stronger. Stay safe Ryan - a safety mindset is also 'part of the game' to use your unofficial catchphrase 😊.
It is... after an early start on summit day... lapses in concentration on the descent when tired, sick from altitude, lack of oxygen... getting to the top is only half the journey.
Ryan, if you can pull that backflip off in your down suit and with crampons on you should do one at the summit! That has to be a world record that has yet to be claimed. World’s highest backflip!
Think its just the earbuds microphone is close to my face when i record on it :) everyone is slightly nasally lol, cold, lots of effort, nothing serious though

Looks scary. Cool thou. Be safe
Thanks Ryan, I've been trapped in a wheelchair since 2012 so going along on your hike up Everest does my heart good!! I look forward to your videos ❤

Twisting an ankle doing backflips on rocky ground is a sure way to curb your climb... careful lol
Watching daily from the West Coast of Canada. Not a climber, but an avid Everest watcher. Best of luck in the days ahead. Prayers with you!
The comments are so petty on all these videos 😅 this is literally the only accurate, honest, and detailed documentation of Everest.. be thankful
IKR? The jealousy is strong and obvious. 😏
Wow so beautiful! Thank you for sharing. Nice job on your back flip. I love your confidence.

Great videos, very interesting. Stay safe.
thanks Ryan!
Thanks for the detail on passing the fixed anchor. It appears the figure 8 is the preferred belay device?
Yes, but we have people on our team using normal one with a bite. Figure 8 is easier on my opinion, especially with big gloves

The business end of Everest.... the rope work... and concentrating on what you're doing at all times... especially on the descent….. be careful!!
Fr descending might be more dangerous than ascending

Enjoying your vlogs, Ryan. In case you're looking for some local lingo refinement, "puja" is pronounced "pooja". As Alan would say... Climb On
Thank you!
Awesome
How many days is it gonna take in total?

Already been done

backflips at base camp, nice :)
❤❤❤
Excited to follow your journey. You sound a bit nasely compared to your other videos. I hope you’re not coming down with something.

@@RyanMitchellYTthat’s great news! Loving your daily content. ❤❤
imagine all that time and effort preparing, all that money, just to injure yourself doing backflips, very unnecesary.
