It's hilarious how every video has comments of people saying "You're in over your head" "You're not going to summit" etc. Dude summited, summited well and is continuing to climb other mountains. It's pure envy coming from some of these people.
Video journal of every day, in almost real time. This completely epic. Hopefully you get the subscriber base you deserve! Great attitude, no cursing. This is as close as I will ever get. Its almost like being there and doing it. Learning a ton. great job mate!
Awesome footage Ryan, Just be Safe. And please please... when it comes to the climb even if your in reach of the summit. IF your body is giving signs of struggle, Please Turn Back. You have good fitness, and trained and paid enough. But.. your life is worth more and your only 19. I do wish you safety on your 1st attempt, best wishes from Ireland.
Hey Ryan, did you ever see the climb "Mountaineering for Mountaineers? It's one of the best climbs I've seen because you feel part of it. I'd love to see you wrap up each day at camp, pan around to show us the scenery and a little closing footage in your tent. You could tell us a little about how your climb went; the good & the bad ... plus any apprehensions or fears about the nest day. ❤❤❤
This is awesome. Thank you for sharing with us. Praying for your safety. Enjoy and stay safe. PS- please be careful when you look into the camera and keeps moving. I don't know but it may not be safe up there.
I've been following you since the 2nd day of trecking to Everest. It's incredible what you've achieved so far. Always waiting for another video. I'm in Europe suporting your ascent! Please, when you reach the top don't stop filming the descent is important to be documented, there are very few videos of that part... and we would like to know what it takes to hike down to BC! ... Lots of good luck!
Thanks for sharing your journey. One of the best documentations of the journey to the top of the world. One thing that amazes me is one mistep could end the journey. Tweak an ankle and its done.
Watching from Ireland, this has become my favourite channel! I'm stating the obvious here, but once it gets (even) more challenging please don't risk your safety for the sake of getting footage.
if you meet Watzmann Ostwand say hi to him haha He just solo climbed Annapurna I without supplementary Oxygen, and trynna do the same with the Everest🔥🔥 I love your videos Ryan, i look forward to them everyday, good luck with Khumbu training 💪🏻
Love your regular posts Ryan! Ive trekked to Base Camp and visited Nepal a few times. Fabulous country and even more fabulous are the Nepali people. Never had the Ba**s or the finance to attempt Everest Summit though. over 70 now so probably to late - Have fun Ryan and keep safe!
Doing great Ryan! I have been following you since your podcast with Alan Arnette and am happy to be on this journey with you! Please be safe with the Khumbu coming up!
I agree with you 💯% about that sign at EBC. I was there in Oct 2022 and it def was not there then. It needs to go! Really enjoying watching your journey!
Hey Ryan, If you start to feel sick and aren't feeling up to this, please stop. Everest will be there 5, 10, 30 years from now. All my respect from Los Angeles!
Me tooooo! I would love to buy you one but how and where to send i?! This hat you have on now ,most important is to keep you warm and protect you from Sun! 🫶🇭🇷🇨🇦Ana
Glad to see another update. Looking good and we're all enjoying your journey!! Please only take video when it's safe to do so (I'm sure you know this!) Can you perhaps strap on the camera somehow when climbing instead of climbing one handed?
You have to go all the way back to Namche after you climb up to Camp 3?! That's wild, why? Anyway, you're doing great! I really look forward to your daily update. Keep it up!
This is a fantastic series. I didn’t know acclimatisation would include returning all the way to Namche Bazar! How real time is this? I presume there will be some delay in editing/uploading. Would you be able to give the date in addition to the day, i.e. what date was day 15 (if you remember!)
Theyre almost all a day after but sometimes the wifi is so slow, so you can assume theyre recorded 1 or 2 days before the publish date! As we move up the higher camps there will be a big delay as there isnt wifi at camp 1 2 3 or 4
@@RyanMitchellYTthanks for the heads up on delay so we don’t worry that something bad has happened. Been saying a prayer for your entire expedition each morning when I pray. Good luck yall got it.
Do you have access to a pulse oximeter? Would be interesting to know what your pulse and oxygen levels are - hiking vs rest at base camp. (Not to make you paranoid though.)
Also, try to document, how time is spent and how you feel etc... even the boring chunks. Eating, using the bathroom etc.... The goal for most ewatchers is to feel and experience what its like to do this
How many calories do you consume daily? In an interview with Ueli Steck, he mentioned he likes to eat salty things when climbing as supposed to sweet things. Maybe this explains the sea salt.
Weather window plays a big part of that! Generally, with the company, he's climbing with, doesn't go up, with the first sets, of summiters! Many reasons play into that, with how many teams go, for the first summits! Too many climbers on the summit, means bad-news sometimes!
People watched it, advertisers savagely attacked them, and they paid youtube for the chance at fresh meat, then youtube gave him some of the money so he could buy a hat.

OK, well - it would be good if you didn't die up there please, because I'm quite invested now 😂
Thank you!

Have you climbed any other 8000er's?
Hope you put your camera on your helmet. I would like to see the full push even if it has slow spots.
I enjoy every one of your blogs! Did I hear you right- ur going back to Namche?? That sounds crazy, why? Anyhow, regards from New York.
Hike on, be safe. (You just passed 2K subscribers.)
What was your training?
I'm curious how you will feel when you're back home. Imagine how great youd feel on a hike back in the states 😂
What’s your target summit date? Rooting for u

He should be able to, however, a lot of will be posted from base camp using sattelite internet!
Do you know how people leave in these small villages when its off season?

What make of boots are your hiking boots? Looking for a new pair for EBC and 3 passes in October
He’s using La Sportiva TX4s. They are approach shoes.
@@TrustyNate i was thinking they were 4's or 5's, I just ordered TX5's, a little more rigid.

@nathanshagam9985 the TX5's look awesome, very similar colourway as the TX4's. Hoping they are as comfortable as they look and from what I've heard.

Why pink himalyan sea salt?
Electrolytes, I think.
He's in the Himalayas. Duh. 😂
i also love how he says "himalyan sea salt", himalyan or sea? can't have both lmao

watching all of these videos and doing some basic research I have one question. How da f*ck did you afford to do this.

how many bodies have you found yet?
What kind of question is that? Loser.
@@JG-dx1udhow is he a loser? I mean it’s weird for sure but I don’t think he’s some sort of degenerate for it.
That low on the mountain, probably none, those who die there will probably have been recovered 🤷♂

Please, stop swinging the camera around so fast, it's really distracting and difficult to watch. I feel dizzy.
this guy winded en route to base camp. idk if hes making it to the top.
Yep, did.
i feel like you are in over your head on this one
