    With all three of you in a row on camera you can see the differences in technique. Tom your tip and rod action is the difference in the hook up numbers. Huge differences in technique 👏 nice 👌

    Hi, Tom,
    I'm a MN home grown native fisherman here. I just like to know what the regulations are for WI? In all my life, I've always paid a lot of attention to the regulations from the handbook that is given out when you purchase a fishing license. Not ever year but some years they change regulations for certain lakes or rivers or boarder waters. Example of this is, most recently, a few years back MN DNR decided to finally allow the targeting and fishing of Bass but strictly Catch and Release only because so many people were illegally targeting them before their opener, which is always on Memorial Weekend. They figured they can't win or can only fine people so much they decided to change it and allow because Bass are fun to fish for and EXTREMELY easier to find during spawn or pre-spawn.
    I only ask because if I were to target game fish like Walleyes, that is not a boarder water like St. Croix river, I would without a doubt, if a game warden showed up and saw me fishing Walleyes out of season it would be an automatic fine and possible jail time with loss of fishing license up to 10 years max or if I am lucky maybe 2 years. Regardless, if I even say it was catch and release only, they would fine me because it was targeting. They would give the reasoning of out of season fish and even if it is catch and release the possibility of the fish dying from being hooked or stressed out is high. It is the same concept as handling Muskies under 1 minute when taking a photo with it.
    Is Wisconsin's DNR like that too? Or are they way more lenient about it when fishing for game fish out of season? Is it a different regulation for the Great Lake?
    Please do keep in mind I have no clue where you are fishing in this video. I can only assume you're fishing roughly between March 13-27th timeframe. I say that because editing videos can take up to 1 week because of life and job and editing is a pain. MN opener for game fish was May 7th. Bass official opener is Memorial Weekend. Muskies was June 5th.
    Please do let me know though, I am curious. I see so many videos on how to fish for walleyes because I want to be better at catching them and taking them home to eat but I am not willing to fish for them if it means breaking the rules. I've personally seen family members lose their license all because they targeted the game fish out of season and they were just catching and releasing too. Not even poaching them.
    Still love your videos because they are so informative and I take notes before I go out and fish for walleyes. They are one of the hardest fish to find for me.
    **DISCLAIMER**
    I AM NOT BASHING YOU OR DISCREDITING YOU OR SHAMING YOU Please don't take it the wrong way if it sounds like I am being snotty or rude I am not. I am just curious because I'd like to some day do some fishing in Wisconsin. I hear so much bout it. I was even told more than 5 times that it is better fishing than Minnesota and I've got to experience it for myself to see if that is as true as they say it is.

      It's weird around Green Bay... walleyes are open through the first weekend of March statewide; downstream tributaries to the first dam in GB are open continuous, tributaries upstream of the first dam close to May. The main lake and Fox River south of DePere is also open continuously.

    • @TAPex011
      @TAPex011 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TK-ni3qe You were not kidding! Wow! Fishing is early! I wish Minnesota a bit more like that! But then again I do agree some fishermen goes overboard and will always over fish and get away if season started early.

    Your cadence has been noticeably different than your two fishing partners on the first 3 fish. Your snap jigging is much shorter and quicker than theirs.

    I am a big fan of yours, watch every video you put on TH-cam. I live in Madison WI, love fishing for walleye but never fish in Greenbay. I am wondering is there a way that I can call you just for a few minutes to ask 1-2 questions about where to fish there. Thanks
