I had a teacher make a similar mistake with grades... IN LAW SCHOOL. He mixed up about a dozen students in a spreadsheet. It screwed up a bunch of their internships, which makes a in difference in their early careers. They held a special meeting for him to apologize and so we could all yell at him.
I would be so mad if I was with that teacher, let’s just say, at least he made a meeting fit you all to yell at him
@@LoonyTonks The class was on property law, not criminal law. But let's just say the students were smart enough not to commit assault IN law school. That would not really have helped their career. I was glad not to have been one of the impacted students. But I was in the class, so I was there for the event.

I always felt embarrassed for Trixie in Toy Story 3 when her message from “another dinosaur toy from down the street” pops up on the computer and she quickly gets rid of it, who knows what those conversations involved 😂😂
I totally agree cause a lot of the scenes in Turning Red actually make me want to crawl out of my skin
That movie was god awful. I love that the Asian culture was featured and I’m here for it. But the movie was epic cringe.

The moment the mom found Maimai's drawings instantly reminded me about when my aunt found my Jack Frost x Hiccup drawings and asked if I was gay. I said no, but I don't think she believed me. At the time, I didnt think she was supportive of the gays. So I was mortified.
Only years later did I learn that a) I was gay, and b) she's very supportive.

Mei Lin's store embarrassment is the most relatable to me because as a kid everyone thought I had a crush on all my male friends. I didn't, but I couldn't convince anyone. One substitute ruined my day by basically asking if we were dating, which made everyone start laughing at us. I cried.
Ugh. I hated when all the kids in my class did that to me. What was worse was that I'm gay.

OMG, they should defo do a video like that it would be so interesting. But also, they should discuss "How The Cars Toons Fit Into The Pixar Theory", because I'd love to know how Mater's Tall Tales fit in and where those other character fit in as well.

The Riley classroom one for me really didn't feel embarrassing. It was definitely sadder. If anything I would remember that as a sad moment, not an embarrassing moment.

What is worst/better is that Riley's classmates look genuinely concerned about her. Is sad and kinda sweet.
Yeah, that always helped soften the edge a little bit. Totally glad there wasn't any bullying in that perfect movie.
I remember having a cry in class cuz one of my teacher humiliated me infront of the whole classroom. And when I left the room to cry by myself, another student from a different class asked if I was okey. At the time I didn't want to bad mouth my teacher, so I had to awkwardly explain my situation. I was mortified at the time that someone saw me in such a wreck. But looking back on it I find her kindness sweet.

the Riley moment hits me as hard as the death in up. though I wouldn't call it cringy. it's just painful when you introspect and remember the friends you lossed, or how hard it would be to go on without your partner. it's basically my two nightmares put together.
Its not embarrassing or cringy though. Its just depressing.
@@Chris-ks4sw The embrarrasment isn't the memories, which is depressing. the Embarrasment is it was he first day of school, and first impression she has to make on her new peers, and it her breaking down. such public crying is a major embarrassment to a tween.
I count it as cringy because everyone sees you vulnerable and cry at school. That’s humiliating enough especially when you are a new kid at school and no one knows you.

As someone who spends their entire life embarrassed, (like I have the Riley classroom moment in my place of employment multiple times per year) may I just say Ben, you are an absolute treasure for sharing your stories. So relatable. ❤

And I’m glad you’ve pointed out the scene where Riley starts crying at school because I felt that scene SO much. I’ve had the moment where you’re at school, everyone’s staring at you, you’re trying to talk but suddenly realize it’s not going well and then that just makes you more upset and cry more and like UGH.
Pixar is a cornerstone of my childhood and adulthood.

You guys should really read Brandon Sanderson. Especially the Stormlight Archive. He does a really good job writing mental health while still having a truly epic fantasy. The world building is incredible.

Definitely. The only problem with this is that they like to theorize on things (duh), and you can't really do that on Cosmere until you're read all the books and possibly lot of the WOBs. That's a huge workload.
You should revisit Animorphs. It's a lot more viscerally disturbing than I remembered it being. Lots of body horror and gore.

I haven’t had a lot of super embarrassing moments but one thing that stands out is about threeish years ago at church we had youth Sunday. It was my first Youth Sunday because I was only in 7th grade. I was standing behind the person they had told me to stand behind but I didn’t remember that that person was supposed to go on stage and I wasn’t. That person was supposed to sit with the other seniors on stage. I was supposed to go and sit in the subsidence. But being the nervous, scared, forgetful, thirteen year old that I was I followed that senior all the way on stage. Then after standing there for a few seconds and having the seniors give me these questioning and confused looks I realized what I had done. It was the only time in my life where I literally felt my face heat up and go red from embarrassment. Then I had to walk off stage in front of the entire audience. And we were at a big First Baptist church so this was the huge main service room. And everyone saw me. I doubt that people really even cared but for me who was already nervous and scared and it having been my first time doing that it was extremely embarrassing
Ben's spiral notebook story reminds me of the time in high school when I was pushing back my chair and the chair made the loudest flatulence-like sound ever. The teacher just looked at me and said "excuse you"
Ben, I used to do speech contests too and almost the exact same thing happened to me:
I entered the short story category and recited chicken little; I had actions, a different voice for each character that I would switch to every time they talked, and I would act it out as well! It was probably one of my favorite things to recite. Well when it was time to announce results for that category, the girl that bullied me most in the school (only 100 kids k-12, we knew everyone) won first place with me not placing. She took the opportunity to flaunt in my face that she was better than me etc... I was obviously in tears and very miserable. It wasn't until a few days latter that the organization realized there was a mix up in the scoring that meant I got first and she got second (I think?). But as they had already announced results, they couldn't take her trophy away as it wouldn't be fair (she totally deserved to loose it). Instead they sent me another one and somehow her parents found out what happened and forced her to apologize. I was 3rd grade

I know they would have been in different grades, but I just see Jonathan being declared the actual winner of the competition.

The way that I interoperated the scene where Ian “can’t lie” is that his brother also doesn’t believe in himself which is why the magic has its problems.

1. Turning Red: Devon at the Daisy Mart.
2. Inside Out: Riley crying in class.
3. Monster’s University: Hardscrabble telling Mike he’s not scary.
4. Cars 2: Mater embarrassing Lightning constantly.
5. Incredibles 2: Violet’s nose dripping.
6. Monsters Inc: George Sanderson having a 2319.
7. Ratatouille: Linguini explaining his ‘little chef’ to Colette.
8. The Good Dinosaur: Arlo fearing the chickens.
9. Luca: Guilia being called Spewlia by Ercole.
10. Onward Barley showing up at Ian’s school.

I feel like there are little embarrassing moments in A Bug’s Life. Been a minute since I watched it.
Turning Red made me see red. I was so angry with the Mum on Mei Mei's behalf! And then when the Mum also has a crappy relationship with her mother... I was practically angry crying
The moment in incredibles 2 had me laughing hysterically for minimum five minutes in a packed movie theater. On a first date. After during the Bao short I also laughed uncontrollably when the mom popped her son/bao in her mouth. Definitely one of the most embarrassing and awkward dates I’ve been on.
Worth it. Those were some top tier moments.
If I was that announcer at the speech competition, I would just go with what I created, burn the paper, and never speak of the competition again.

I started reading Animorphs last year! Stopped in the middle of book ten, then picked it up last week, just finished book 12!
I had the whole Animorphs book set back then when I was 15. The story is kind of boring at begining, but it will get better. My fav book is The Ellimist Chronicles

The author made the whole series free for download because of all the covid lockdown stuff. Don't remember where I read that or how to get to where to download it, but I've enjoyed it from the start!
My most embarrassing moment happened a few years back in high school. Me,my mom, and small group of my family went hiking in a Creek that sets on the Mississippi and Louisiana border. It was one of those difficult hiking trails. After the hike, I was so exhausted that I feel on a pile of red sand. While one my school Friends came by and all could get out was a Growl

My most embarrassing moment was in middle school/ high school. I was going through some gastrointestinal problems so i was very gassy.
One day in class, I felt a gas bubble but I held it in. It slowly faded but I felt a sneeze come on. I ended up sneezing and farting at the same time (and it was very loud).
My whole class laughed all day and wouldn’t sit near me. I was beet red all day and for about a week after.
I felt the pelican!
Story time!!! The most embarrassing thing that ever happened to me would be the time I was in high school I called my reading teacher mama I thought she would be mad and say I was disrespecting her but she was really nice about it and told me if I wanted to call her mama it would be fine with her

When I was a kid I was in a karate tournament and there were hundreds of people there and all the karate children was sitting down and had to get up when their name was called to collect their trophy and I miss heard and thought my name was called so I stood up and went over there to get my trophy but it wasn't my name... Infront of hundreds of people, an arena of people

That scene with Riley hit so hard that inside out instantly became my favorite Pixar film and still is but Turning Red and the Incredibles are close,Toy Story 2 was my favorite before inside out so that's that.I love Pixar what else can I say.
Yeah. TS2 is my childhood because i had that movie on VHS, and i watched like one million times.
My most embarrassing moment was in college when I came into the student union building one day while it was raining.
I ran all the way up the stairs to the second floor before my wet sneakers slipped on the top step and I tumbled all the way back down…as the entire room of about 60 people all watched in silence…and then laughed.

OMG, Ben! I love finding out someone is/was also an "Animorphs" fan! It's so weird that there are still niche book series fandoms in the age of Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Game of Thrones but that's one that never really took off. Probably because we never got a decent adaptation, aside from the Nickelodeon show which we dare not speak of. Anyway, I still have my whole collection...somewhere.

Drawtober sounds fun, not that I'm super skilled or anything, it's my sister who's the artsy one, but fun nonetheless. However, is the only way to share the art with you guys through social media, or will you have an email open, like you've had with the What if Harry was in Slytherin series? Askin as someone who don't have any social media other than TH-cam (if that even counts), and given your own thoughts on Social Media banting you've expressed from time to time in the podcast, I'm sure you can understand why I don't feel like getting any, when I've abstained for all of my life so far.
Not gonna lie when I say that #4 is pretty relatable for me as an older brother. 😢

My mom came to my work when I was 16 and, in front of all my new co-workers, screamed in our CPR teacher's face because it was late and I had homework and "you should be ashamed for keeping him here this long"
for number 6, the satisfaction of the other way around (lots of "evidence" saying you're wrong when you aren't) is amazing and I've only experienced it a few times
Up there on most embarrassing for me is a fun story to tell.
Back in 8th grade, I was a complete wreck when it came to socializing with girls...especially if I had a crush on them. The girl I had a crush had to skip PE due to a leg injury, thus spent her time in the library. I had to grab something from the library, and ended chatting with her and the librarian.
When 5th period, the class I had with her, rolled around, she waved at me...but I thought she was waving at the person I was sitting by, as earlier in the year they were table mates.
Later down the line I realized I blew that opportunity, but its a funny story, so it keeps me from cringing when thinking about it.
That restaurant scene from The Increadibles is truly cinematic perfection. So. So. Relatable.

Heck yeah I remember Animorphs! I still have some of the books, too. The show was an unfortunate disaster at the time, but with current tech, could actually be a really good reboot!
