- My first attempt at my formal range test for the Monster Pro had to be aborted due to high winds.

Thanks! Cant wait to get my Monster Pro! Always appreciate your tests and opinions.
Great ride and you can see that wheel really handles all the bumps in the road with ease.
Thanks to your Monster Pro videos, I'm not going to cancel my Monster Pro pre-order. Can't wait!
Good choice!
@DJI Ireland I sure am having fun on this "crap" wheel
looks like that motor is super smooth!
Hi Marty, so glad it wasn't aborted because of the wheel.
Me too :-)
Hello
I'm relieved that someone that likes monster wheels gave a decent review. I've been waiting to buy this wheel for a long time but was hesitant after seeing so many bad reviews. Now I've decided to wait a bit and get one this after they work out the kinks. Your video on the monster pro has given me confidence that it's not a bad wheel. I'm over 50 years old so cruising in luxury sounds appealing.
I really like the wheel so far. It's not perfect (what wheel is). I'll be posting more Monster Pro content plus a final review video.
@@ElectricUnicyclesAwesome!
I'll be looking for it.
Thanks
still, very good data. thx marty
Thank you Marty, I value your opinion.
Aqueduct, trail, and then that magnificent half way spot.
Look forward to seeing the completed range test, thanks.
Wow nice Wheel !! Thanks for the nice ride in trails! Riding to death valley and Cerro Gordo would be amazing
Some day I'll ride Death Valley :-)
What's better than "All for science" ??? All for *FUN* science!!! :) Thanks for the vid Marty. Looking forward to the next one!
Interesting opinion on the Mpro. I hope they solved all issues...We will see when people receive their units.
I am literally DYING to get my Monster Pro... I ordered it in September, and it left China February 2nd. I'm glad I didn't get the initial release, and it seems they've addressed all of the launch issues. We'll see.
PS - I'm totally jealous of where you get to ride. Palm Springs is just about my favorite place in the world.
@DJI Ireland thanks for your unwarranted, irrelevant, and misinformed opinion.
LOL
Your opinion is only relevant, IMO, if you own a Monster Pro and/or have ridden it for a few hundred miles.
@DJI Ireland Please tell me how long you've been riding the Monster Pro and how has it been bad for you. So far it's been a great wheel for me.
excited to get my monster pro
with the info you provided, i’m going to say you will do at least 100 miles on your range test, when winds die down.
We'll see today
The most scenic halfway point in the game!! Marty do you know what river that is?
It's the beginnings of the San Gabriel river: goo.gl/maps/qA5VSswspnczsfRE7
Many reviews show that the MP has less range that the Sherman and is far less comfortable. Do you disagree Marty?
If you watched this video you can see that I don't know yet. I'll be repeating the test tomorrow. Comfort is very subjective. In my opinion it's a beautiful "long distance" riding wheel. More comfortable than the Sherman, IMO.
how do you come up with that assumption? maybe you didn’t watch the full video
Actually i cant see much battery loss because of the wind? You lost 7volts for 28miles (101-94Volts) and for 24miles you lost 6volts(94-88) more.
The forewind with your weight probably doesnt matter that much, not much drag on the battery....
And then loosing a volt on top/full battery takes longer than loosing a volt on middle/low battery, which makes the second half of your journey even more impressive :-)
My uneducated guess is: Probably the Monster Pro ends up at about the same range as the Sherman, the 400wh more probbly get eaten by the much bigger wheel size....so i am curious for part 2 of the range test.
I am impressed with this wheel, so far. But how will it behave during the last 20% of the battery. That will be interesting.
I'm repeating the ride on Friday & Saturday so I'll soon know. I'm hoping it has more range than the Sherman because the Sherman isn't enough for me :-)
@@ElectricUnicycles Yeah, i think so?! You need a 2nd extra long range wheel i guess ;-) Where is your wheel count now, 14?
I really would be surprissed if its much more range than the sherman.....getting the big tire going draws a lotof amps.
As said, curious about the result!
@@ullle66 Day 1 of the repeat is complete. It may not go as far as the Sherman. I think I only have ~10 wheels now. I'm selling more now.
i like how u make it as scientific as possible then buy another "long -distance wheel because ur "heart has spoken".!lol. Interesting to see how the pro stands up after a few hundred miles, and lets not forget the Sherman has issues as well!
🤠👍
compare this to wheels with suspension - with range not a consideration, just a ride comparison
