Something a bit different. I couldn't imagine going camping in November in the UK. Today was a wet cold day in the southeast. But all the best to you and yours.
Looks like an amazing and well thought out suite of products. But, is camping in 2024 simply becoming a game of how closely one can replicate the comfort of one's home? I think one of the best parts of camping is being uncomfortable. Cold, wet, dirty, etc, and after about 24 hours, your baseline expectations of comfort reset. It's an opportunity to test your mind. To be able to enjoy your time without having to rely on every little creature comfort the modern world offers.
Yeah absolutely - this is the philosophical discussion I tried to have at the end - definitely an interesting one and I think if I was alone I'd certainly be closer to this. But for an adventure with wife and kids, we have quite a few different 'comfort' lines in the sand, and the shower and toilet experience needs to tick all the boxes heh!
this video is extremely diminished by the fact the start of the video doesn't include any motivation. Like "Camping is great and the children are all running around but at the end of the day you're all sweaty and the best you can get is typically just a wet cloth, I had been researching a better solution. After my research I decided that joolca look to be the best and I approached them if they would be willing to send it for free for review video and they agreed". That instantly gets the ad like nature out of the way and give motivation for why the video matters at all.
He is basically asking you to do what Hollywood does for trailers. mini-trailer for the trailer as intro to the trailer. The kind that ends with "Now the Trailer begins!" Please don't go that route. Just title the video better if you are facing that issue.
Not sure that's how I've viewed the more recent videos. Feels like Ben is very choosey to me about what he works with. Just my opinion though. Which style of videos are you missing from previous content?
@@iancooper6975 I guess I liked that it was more about computer/workflow, such as the previous videos with the split keyboards. I get that you can't just keep making videos about split keyboards all the time, but I was expecting more about computing/workflow videos. It is his channel, and if people like the content, then I guess more power to him.
@@redtro1204 that's fair :) I guess this comment is what would have helped early on, at least that way Ben can work out what blend of content to deliver to his audience. I am still enjoying the product videos (including today's), but I agree id love to see more keyboard like stuff. Would perhaps be cool to see Ben get super in to something like the coffee machine mods community. I really appreciate his summaries on the keyboards and I suspect there are other 'nerd' avenues I'd like to see his take on effort in Vs goodness out.
Mate so glad that you, the detail-oriented guy, wants the same portable setup as I. Feels like I made the right decision and can buy it in peace now.
Awsome - yeah can't wait for next summer now!
Got our nomad a few weeks ago. Can’t wait to get out and use it
Pretty amazing product.

Yeah it's all a bit dormant until spring now!

Camping can be whatever you want it to be as long as it makes you happy. It's a personal experience that shouldn't be dictated by others.

This is a very interesting point - thanks!

Are you just an ad now?

He’s showing you he’s more than just computer stuff, he has an outside life
