Defense is supposed to be on the low side for this ship. It's a heavy cargo ship and from the beginning it was planned that you would hire fighter escorts. It is a gameplay design choice. It's also planned that this ship will mostly be used to transport cargo long distances. You won't break out a ship like this to transport across a single system. As you can see, the plans for this ship exceed the game's current ability to support the gameplay.
@@R1PPA-C I was surprised by them as well. I think CIG maybe thought it was ok to allow them to help fight off a couple of pirates with a crewmember or two.
While I agree it shouldn’t be to heavily outfitted with weapons, having both turrets on top of the ship and only one controllable at a time is ridiculous. They should move the forward top turret to the bottom, get rid of pilot weapons and change the current turrets to house size 4 guns. This wouldn’t be op but at least give it a fighting chance against small targets if you aren’t escorted.
I love the vibe of HULL-C. It looks like the kind of space shuttle human would build in the near future. I love how it's having the sci-fi and authentic, realistic style at the same time
a few tricks i found with this ship is you want to use the pads to eva to ship not dock port because dock port your lucky to get 1 success. and if you didnt look closely it does have a captains quarters if you look at the tiny name placards that say captain and other roles. as for running down center i was able to cross the dark void if i run in reverse and or 2 steps stop 2 steps stop 2 steps stop ect my problem i have been running into is sales i would score this ship a 9 but it has to be a 1 because you call ship go buy load get in ship fly to pick up location where you load then you fly to drop off you are intended to dock or eva to sale then fly ship to take off point then wait then to return trip you need to dock again to buy a load then fly to pick up and so on its like 2 times you need to enter the station and 2 times you need to request a off or on load....this is a huge nerf to time and this time can nearly be out beat by 6 trips with a caterpillar in same time span making the benefit of the C nullified
Amazing video! Glad people like hauling with it. I prefer internal cargo, makes me feel more secure lol. Although pirated one once and we realized it’s to difficult to sell cheap stolen, stuff at mass scale. Took forever to unload and load smaller ships. So we won’t be pirating any anytime soon unless something changes. (We always sell all loot we pirate to not waste stuff) If moving big loads that would have pirates interest don’t forget to fly safe and higher escorts. Cheers
Yeah, as of right now with how much cargo it can hold and how basically no other ship can hold that much currently, i'd say until they make some ship that has the capability of holding the same or more, or even tractor beaming more than one crate at once to make the moving faster, don't pirate one.
Thank you for the video. I own a Hull C and one of the major issues is the docking with the spindels extended, there should be more tolerance when attempting to dock. The docking camera feature that was implemented does not work very well. A video on its working would be of help.
This ship is bound to get so many fixes once Pyro comes closer, the trailer for the ship literally shows going through a warp to get to Pyro and then warping back
I love my c anfd as a fan of misc ships ill say it flies much much better than most big ones (starfareer pilot too). Thank you for the vid love looking at it
There's problems with every single area of this game that are being blatantly ignored, there's gotta be a few records for the longest running bugs of any game ever produced 🤣
S3 components are not meant to be hand swapped. You'll need to visit a drydock to replace those. From what I've seen in the engineering gameplay video from citizencon, only destroyed components need replacing. As long as it has some health left, we'll be able to repair it with a space magic beam. As for the ship, there are some areas that seem unfinished. Like living quartes. Messed up textures, assets copy-pasted from starfarer, randomly placed buttons that don't allign with each other, missing connectors on some pipes, weird sticker on the ceiling, empty bare metal wals with no details. It feels like a downgrade compared to Hull-A. Also temporal transfer mechanic is too buggy and the profit is too low for this ship to be enjoyable.
It's got its issues for sure, for what the ship *will be* able to do it's got a great head on its shoulders. They are already starting to fix bugs in the current ePTU so hopefully that will help HULL C owners a bit. I'm interested in the components discussion because they seem so back and forth. They either want everything physicalized or only some things!
recently got one and I can't even walk to the back of it. I just fall trough my ship...... Tried destroying it and claiming a new one but same shit dif ship.

Agreed, I'd have thought they wouldn't have even put any pilot guns on tbh,
instead just a couple of last defence turrets and use wingman as escorts.

@@EvenLease44 completely agree.. It also looks out of place with those pilot guns on the front, turrets and wingmen only
@@EvenLease44 I get your point. There must be some reason CIG did it that way though.

If I am not mistaken the engineer station can access both the remote turrets also. So when needed both top turrets can be used.
I think this ship will be key to becoming a space trucker once pyro comes out
Absolutely, I can’t wait to see cargo movement making big differences to available assets on planets/stations

i would score this ship a 9 but it has to be a 1 because you call ship go buy load get in ship fly to pick up location where you load then you fly to drop off you are intended to dock or eva to sale then fly ship to take off point then wait then to return trip you need to dock again to buy a load then fly to pick up and so on its like 2 times you need to enter the station and 2 times you need to request a off or on load....this is a huge nerf to time and this time can nearly be out beat by 6 trips with a caterpillar in same time span making the benefit of the C nullified

I'll be getting for sure, but I'm most excited for the Hull-E, I'll clean out all the stations and sell them to the other system :)
For what purpose, seems monotonous and pointless, unless its to fund a Group/Org?

still a massive pain to operate, docking is completely broken
Thanks for trying

Keep it up!
Size 3 and larger components won't be removable by the player at all, you will only be able to change them in a larger stations while docked.
I was always under the impression all size components will be replaceable manually.
@@EvenLease44 they said during CitCon that only size 1 and 2 components will be removable manually by players
I was there and don’t recall, this is good info so I’ll look back and find where that’s mentioned.

Weird ship, awesome review. Top notch video.
Such a beautiful ship, so many problems being ignored by the devs...
they are working on docking again at least
Ignored? They have been pushing fixes for this ship since it came out.

Great use of PIP
thats a goodyear blimp if I ever seen one.
How does one acquire this vessel?
It’ll be on sale again on the 18th for real $ or you can get it in game for just shy of 16 mil credits
Ship just feels OP to me
Its really a boomer that habitation doesnt have an elevator. The front part of the ship looks so much old and less cool than the back.
How much is it ingame and somebody buy it for me rn im in love with it
15.7 mil

The interior, bar the bridge, is entirely uninspiring.
