bought it today (2023). Quick update to all that's watching before buying yours, The box have changed to a square open case ( feels paper-ish still) but a beautiful box now nonetheless.
First impression of the watch.. luxurious, even for the price I paid. I owned the quartz 40mm, yet it feels about the same size on my wrist, although slightly heavier than the usual feeling you have with the normal prx ( I actually like the heavy feeling)
Finishing wise, as you expected from Tissot. Beautifully finished. The chrono buttons are slightly wobbly, the only negative i can think of. So I don't think it's airtight as you might think (Hope it is) but not gonna stand under the rain with it anytime soon.
For anyone wondering, they provide you with the tools to push the date, so no worries there. Overall, satisfied with the Chronograph i've paid for.
I wore mine today and I fall in love with it all over again every time I do

My seastar pro 2000 was shipped exactly the same way. At $1200 it's not expensive but it's also not cheap; packaging was absolutely the only disappointment I had with Tissot. It's one of my daily/regular wears.

Beautiful watch, but it’s little embarrassing that Tissot would ship this(not so cheap) watch in a paper box.
I get it that it’s ok with a 600$ powermatic, but for the price that chrono version cost, it should be shipped in more upmarket box.
Agreed, it's the only thing letting this down imo, it doesn't matter a huge deal but for the money some nice leather or piano black presentation box would have been nice

Yeah the box is bad but honestly and disappointingly it’s still a similar quality packaging to some I have in this price range.
That date is in such a weird place it messes with the dial visual balance...dont really like that design choice
There are several chronos with similar date windows on the market but yeah I see what you mean

The Seastar is a fantastic watch, and honestly Tissot has hit home run after home run lately with their mechanical watch lineup, but as far as bang for the buck goes, you cannot beat the value of the PRX chronograph. It has the same movement as watches that cost many times the price. That said, I’m looking forward to getting my hands on a seastar too

I just got my PRX Powermatic 80 and no pin tool or strap tool is it normal?
The tool is not a pin/strap tool. It is to press a button on the side of the case, to change the date, and it is exclusive to the chronographs. On the Powermatic 80 you just do it with the crown, as usual.

@@clarkunboxing my box already fell apart haha good thing I don't care about boxes at all, but it makes you worried you got some sort of fake when the box just crumbles on you

Not so much attention on the box.
In my newer videos I usually move quickly onto showing the watch as that is what most people skip to which destroys my retention (meaning I get less views)
