    So, 8 minutes into the video, I realised I was holding my breath... Bas is going to come with some head-turning DAX!... And then, it came! 😉 Only, this time, it is that DAX I never thought I already knew!
    But thank goodness, there are ways to make beautiful PowerBi dashboard without DAX... Only when you're subscribed to HowToPowerBi!
    Thanks, Bas! You really are the MVP...Got that, @Microsoft?

    Love your videos. Best Power BI teacher on youtube! Loving all the design tips too.
    One request, could you please use a wider array of industry examples .. there's more than just financials out there - like digital twin and IOT or sports stats.

    Great Video! Thank you so much. I always have the problem with sparklines once a filter to the date column is applied. Especially bad, if you are connected with a Live Connection and there's no way to alter the underlying data model. I would probably need 2nd date dimension in the data model?
    What I want to achieve e.g. with the KPI cards as shown in the video is to output the value from yesterday but to show lines from the last xx days. Or show an aggregated month value and compare it agains previous xx months with the line.

    Once again, what a great idea!
    I just had a play around with it and used the same logic to display different measures ( rather than using a product dimension for example), and I think it's a great substitute for the traditional KPI card.
    Thanks!!

    Hi Bas, was playing around with this as well but where you take product and put it in values (where it changes to 'First Product') that does not work for me.
    I take it not every field can be added to values. But you product is also just a text field I presume just like the field I would like to add.
    Would you happen to know what can cause this?

    great video (as always) but I stuck at point where you add photos. If I add them to row/column header it shows just fine but when I add them to value field it returns blank (when it shows "first product image). Any advice?

  • @texmexdragon2160
    @texmexdragon2160 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Bas - Have you noticed the tooltips that come up when you hover over the points? It's hard to decipher exactly what the context is and sometimes it tells you what the trend was and sometimes just absolute values. But they seem a bit confusing. Would be awesome if you could do a video that could add some clarity to what the tooltips on Sparklines are trying to tell us!
