What a terrific commentary! The enthusiasm of Ms Olsen makes me much more curious about this art installation than I would otherwise have been.
If only all art experts showed such excitement!

The photos are good for its time, but I also wish Dr. Zucker's current cam caught more detail on this one.. It's so intriguing and I'd love to appreciate the specifics better.
I can't help noticing the intense, ocean painting in the background. I wonder if it was intentional for Portland Art Museum to have such a dramatic, emotional, and location-free piece in proximity to this stationary and peaceful slice of hotel stay.
I love how the Keinholz's were able to recreate this nostalgic, true-to-life segment of what American life was like for some... We'd all experience it uniquely, but to some degree, we'd feel it as familiar (even if we've never quite been there). So interesting. I wonder why this. What does it mean to them?
