      Thanks for very much for the feedback and I'm glad you're finding the information useful. To be honest, I started this for my own benefit because the manual wasn't making any sense, and I thought it can't THAT difficult to master this instrument! It's got a lot to offer for a relatively small amount - especially compared to a Yamaha Genos. have a PSR SX900 which is great but also higher priced compared to the Casio. In the end, if it helps you make music (without getting frustrated) then that's all that matters really. All the best. 😎

      @@StewartWallaceSJWMusic Great explanation! I used to play piano and now did buy this model to expand my skills, but could not understand how to use it till I found your videos. Thanks a lot! Could you please also create CTX-3000 step-by-step tutorials on how to add accompaniment, reverb, delay effect, create different styles, etc. to play Queen, Pet shop boys, ABBA and so on based on their songs as examples... All beginners would really appreciate it!! OK?

      @@yv7ivl-qq5em Thanks for the feedback - it gives me a lot of encouragement and it's helpful to know that this info helps. Also, it helps me when planning for future videos. I'm going to be offering online keyboard/piano/singing lessons in 2024 via Zoom so stay tuned! All the best for Christmas and into 2024. 😎

    Great demo on the CT-X keyboard, Stewart. I should take more time deep diving into the CT-X keyboard's capabilities. I agree that the manual is somewhat limited on the instructions for this keyboard. Your chord sequence reminds me of Roxy Music Avalon.

      It was just random to demonstrate step time. I realise that I could have been more inventive such as adding fills, variations, and changing the step values but hopefully it's useful enough to get users started. Thanks for your feedback. 👍😎

    Great explanation. Is there a transpose function on the surface of the ctx3000, please?

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep - there is an octave button and 2 transpose buttons, just below the keypad on the right hand side. Using the up arrow transposes up by half a step (semitone) and pressing the down arrow transposes down half a step. You can transpose one octave in either direction. Press both buttons at the same time resets it to no transposition. The octave button is to the left of these arrows. Hold it down and then press one of the up or down arrows to shift octave. You can shift 3 octaves up or down, though you can shift 4 octaves if you also transpose the keyboard by one octave! To reset the octave position, press the octave button and then the +/ - buttons on the keypad, at the same time. The red data wheel can also be used to input the values, as well as the +/- buttons. I hope that helps.😎

    Hello, this is for my ct-x3000. I want to adjust the volume for accompaniment separately from the song or melody part. I have tried the manual , but get it. Thanks

      The total accompaniment volume level can be adjusted as follows: 1. Press FUNCTION. 2. Press 3 (right arrow) 7 times. 3. Now adjust the accompaniment volume with either the data wheel, -/+ buttons, or type in the value.
      If you want to adjust or mute individual parts within the accompaniment then that's a job for the PART/MIXER button as follows: 1. Short press PART (red light comes on). 2. Press -/+ buttons until display shows "1-8 Rhythm". 3. Press PART (red light goes out). 4. Long press PART/MIXER button and you're now in mixer mode. 5. Use the L/R (1/3) arrows to select the part of the accompaniment you want to adjust. 6. Use UP/DOWN arrows (5/2) to select the parameter (Part ON/OFF, Volume, Pan, Reverb, Chorus, Delay).
      I hope that helps and makes sense. All the best.😎
