A primeira vista, a escala Kurd soa uma escala diatônica menor, ou o modo eólio. Porém, ao ser tocada a partir de sua primeira nota na parte superior após o ding, a nota lá (A), ela se revela uma escala frígia, o terceiro grau do modo maior, tão utilizada na música flamenca e em outros gêneros com influência árabe. O nome desta escala vem inclusive da música Curda ou Kurdish.
Isso faz desse Handpan um instrumento muito versátil, podendo soar melodias tradicionais em modo menor bem como melodias mais exóticas e profundas da tradição árabe.
Sendo assim, é instrumento muito interessante tanto para iniciantes quanto músicos avançados.
Esta versão mutante e estendida do instrumento, ou seja, com a complementação das notas graves entre o ding e a primeira nota da escala superior, além da extensão de mais 4 notas agudas, torna este instrumento no D KURD DEFINITIVO para quem o adquirir e sua apresentação em inox contribuiu muito para seu longo sustain e profundidade de harmônicos.

At first glance, the Kurd scale sounds like a minor diatonic scale, or the Aeolian mode. However, when played from its first note in the upper part after the ding, the note A, it reveals itself as a Phrygian scale, the third degree of the major mode, widely used in flamenco music and in other arabic influenced genres. The name of this scale comes from Kurdish music.
This makes this Handpan a very versatile instrument, able to sound traditional melodies in a minor mode as well as more exotic and deep melodies from the Arabic tradition.
Therefore, it is a very interesting instrument for both beginners and advanced musicians.
This mutant and extended version of the instrument with the complementation of low notes between the ding and the first note of the upper scale, in addition to the extension of 4 more high notes, makes this instrument the DEFINITIVE D KURD for those who purchase it and their stainless steel presentation contributed a lot to its long sustain and harmonic depth.
