St Peters Way - Part 1: Chipping Ongar to Margaretting

- The St Peters Way is a 40 mile long distance trail beginning at the small town of Chipping Ongar and heads east to the coast at Bradwell-on-Sea. The trail passes through many beautiful Essex villages before reaching the historic Chapel of St Peter on the Wall which dates back to Saxon times and built on the site of the Roman Fort 'Othona'.
Part 1 of this wonderful trail follows the route from Chipping Ongar to Margaretting.

Did this walk back in 22’ over two days and camped at a lovely campsite near stock
I just did day walks and came home between days as its fairly local to me!
@@WalkingintheWildwithJoeJackson same it’s just down the road for me, was quite lucky to start it on a Friday afternoon after work and finish Saturday afternoon/evening, highly recommend the route, would just note to anyone that in my experience it was very hot sun period and wasn’t much shade around
