Found Billy on TH-cam a week ago, and have been listening every day since. It's not just his unbelievable perfection playing and singing, it's the musical journey he takes you on. A spectacular creative genius. The band is amazingly talented, and their uncanny timing is spot on. Perfectly in tune with Billy's plunge into an emotional musical experience like I've never experienced before. He doesn't just play, he emotes music.
Billy and his band at their best. This is what we called a happening back in the 60's. Good vibes and music that happened in the there and then. We're presently in the here and now, but I can almost feel the magic that was there ~ G%

I was in USA at vacation 2006 and visit a Bluegrass Festival in Cherokee in Augusti 2006 first time I heard Bluegrass live, and this show was in class with that festival, if not remember wrong played Billy's dad there. Im from Sweden

This concert was darn near perfect. And there are several "darn near" perfect. I am loving this one so much perhaps because I haven't seen Billy in several years since he left Northern Michigan for Nashville and have not enjoyed live music by musicians with good hearts and integrity to burn. My first Billy Strings show but definitely not my last. There was a lot of speculation that he might not play that night after news that his good friend Jeff Austin had been placed in a medically induced coma. There was a lot of emotion coming through in this set and his comments right before his cover of Run Down took on some extra meaning that night. There were a lot of sad hearts in the crowd that night. Great tribute to another great artist, RIP Jeff.
If anyone hasn't seen his Doc Watson tribute set, DO SO! This was a fantastic concert at Billy always provides but you want to hear him playing and talking about Doc Watson one of Billy's most influential artists on Billy from his birth. Lovin yall!

I have been battling an illness for a number of years. Am 55 now, and a bit better thanks to the Lord, how is it that I missed Billy and his crew???? He is awesome. I gotta know more about him. Hopfully am able to go see him.
I told the Glastonbury Festival about Billy and his band. I would think Michael the founder of the Festival. Would really dig this music. He really like roots music. You guys in the UK could ask Glastonbury for Billy to play. I been at 3x. These guys would be a perfect fit! Amazing Festival! Ps. I was one of the photographers. The festival supports all the Arts! Words cannot describe..what i feel inside...when i listen to Billy Strings. I think when CJ gets old enough, you should make him a permanent part of the band. Gifted and beyond. Blessings on all of them!
I have been battling an illness for a number of years. Am 55 now, and a bit better thanks to the Lord, how is it that I missed Billy and his crew???? He is awesome. I gotta know more about him. Hopfully am able to go see him.

I told the Glastonbury Festival about Billy and his band. I would think Michael the founder of the Festival. Would really dig this music. He really like roots music. You guys in the UK could ask Glastonbury for Billy to play. I been at 3x. These guys would be a perfect fit! Amazing Festival! Ps. I was one of the photographers. The festival supports all the Arts! And every kind of music.

I'm 71, always liked rock music. The best music I ever heard was U2. I recently found billy strings. Even U2 would have to take a back seat to billy strings. I've never seen such incredible talent. Billy strings and his band are off the charts! 😃

How these guys maintain this energy for 150+ shows a year is beyond me. If I were 30 years younger, I'd be on tour.
I like this new discovery. My only complaint is the lack of seeing the rest of the band. It would be nice to see the lead playing.
