I just finished this I’m not sure if I achieved it as well as yours, however I think I did a great job.
I didn’t make as small parts but can see how that will help with fullness. My hair has different density so I used the same human weft hair in braids that were fine. I’m sure as it age it will look even better.
Definitely will do again with smaller braids but not too small cause the crochet needle would be a little harsh on skinny braids
