The graffiti and beer bottles were because patients used to go there for beer and other things . Many of the oldest buildings have been abandoned by that time.
It's all done up now ... It's a proper hospital. My psychiatrist wanted to admit me there for anorexia but I got better just before I was about to be admitted. It's creepy asf I'm just happy I'm not there Now I know all this about that place
In 1982 -1983 This place was still very much functional. The very Gloomy Gray Brick walls, Patients Eating imaginary apples, The Thorazine Shuffle, So much more.
Part of SG is still operational. Did some painting there years ago. Locked out of the building in the court yard. (Criminally insane building). To regain access I needed to call a specific # If you can see in the windows , it looks like everyone just dropped what they were doing and ran.
The Springfield Hospital Center was a place, where the patients got rapped, abused, electrocuted, medical-tested, killed by the nurses, doctors and other patients in the worst way people can imagine. Only One Person witch also was a patient and in the same time a victim in this very bad place, stopped the punishment and stood up for her right to bring this place down. This person got never recognized, but now it`s time that people start to know about this person.

Very true I was there I was there as a child and I lost one of my dearest friends she hung her self I was at the municey children's center and yes we were very abused and druged up I still some times have night terrors and often wonder that place was demolished 😰😰😰
What was going on back then, that they had so many insane people, that they actually built, and filled places like this? It seems statistically impossible, for that much of the population, to be mentally ill. These places were all over the country, and they were massive. Every town had a loony bin, and it wasn't that hard to get into one of these torture dungeons. Is this when America was great?

Hey I live across from there and my sister and I check it out frequently. My friends have reported crossing paths with supernatural beings and experiencing many 'odd' things. I have not entered the building but I have investigated it from the outside. One thing that really freaks me out is the window in one of the abandoned buildings. It keeps opening and closing, but we're pretty sure it's not a human who's doing that. Speaking that once we saw it close when nobody was on the other side of the window. Oh, and I live right next to the train tracks and my friend found a human jaw there and I actually got in contact with someone who died there before. O-O
+Lindsey Winchester that's interesting, while we were there we saw no supernatural occurrences except for some banging which was probably things falling due to decay. overall it was spooky and the cops even came to see what we were doing.
Jack Williams oh yeah. Next time keep an eye out for them. They swarm the area like crazy. Also, there could possibly be more people in there like crack heads n what not. So next time you're exploring places like this, please be careful! ^_^
Lindsey Winchester I drove by the area today but I was way to scared to actually get out of my car and look at the building. I don't wanna be arrested for trespassing or anything like that, how do people do this and not get in trouble?
It’s all done up but it still the same .it’s a shame that some of the Buildings are not completely down there are still some buildings abandoned in Springfield Hospital and left so only a few of it got done up
I was there in my teens. When I was there it was for people from 12-18 and you only stayed there for one year maximum.
