Wow, I had no idea red wattle pigs were that fast growing AND meaty (as you showed in the bacon comparison). I'm one of those people who would struggle with raising a meat animal, but I am trying broilers this year, maybe next year pigs? At least you get to enjoy them while you have them.

Great video! Really helping me plan my future homestead. And Gloucestershire is pronounced "GLOSS-turr-shur". Anglo-Saxon is not phonetic at all, LOL ^_^

I don’t know if you will pick this up. I just found your blog by accident. & if I loose the contact I don’t know if I’ll be able to find you again. In England I had 13+ acres. Pretty isolated. I had Great Danes great dogs with animals and guard dogs
Sorry to rattle on but. My security lighting problem was fixed when I put Tungston Airport lights way up on telegraph poles. One covered my 13 acres. The other thing is. Anatolian Shepherd dogs. I see how terrific your dog is. But. These Anatolians. Fight Wolves. No problem. Friends here in USA breed horses. Had a big problem of trespass & animal attacks They now have about 3-5 at a time of these dogs (over 50+ acres) who roam singly & as a team. Check the internet on how they work in their own country where wolves are always around. The Shepherds leave them totally alone to work. And they’re as great with family as Any pet dog. BUT they’ll guard your wife, girls animals you and their territory with their lives. Sorry to rattle on. But Dutch you have something very special in your lifestyle and ethics. So I just had to pass on the knowledge I have. Hey and one more thing. When those winds blew away the sheep house. Why don’t you sink one of your metal fence posts deep & attach the corner posts of the sheds to them as an anchor. Happy homesteading.

As a customer, if presented with the four bacons, I would have chosen the Red Wattle based on looks alone. If it tasted best then it's looks were true.
Does the Pratt Family sell pork? (I'm too far away to be a customer, so just asking.)

Notice how Americans pronounce Yorkshire with "shire" rhyming with "hire", and in the UK it's pronounced with "shire" rhyming with "sir".
