The most important thing you pointed out was the number systems for the colors throughout different media types. So cool you found that out. Your channel is the only one out of over 15 I have watched in depth that has reviewed enough of the same product to notice the color coding. That's so much 🤗❤️👍🏽💯
I will pass on both. Although I do like the Posca markers, I feel I have other pencils and pastels that work just as well or even better. Thank you so much for all your time and research. I love keeping up to date with Coloring Bliss! Hugs to Rose!
For now, I plan to pass on both. I have so much stuff and have not colored, much, for months. I need to get myself back in to coloring and then go from there. Thank you for sharing your experience!
I bought these from Cass Art by accident for about £12 and I have no idea what to do with them! I thought they were the pencils because the boxes look so similar. Could use a tutorial on working with these high end wax pastels or maybe some inspiration lol
I bought both. I just watched this again so I could get more out of it. I love the pencils and I'm sure I will love these pastel crayons also. Tfs the info. 😊
I love your videos. I've been watching for years. I'm a mixed media artist. I really enjoy watching review videos prior to purchasing. I've noticed that you don't mention lightfastness very often. I think for these more expensive products, it would be great if you mentioned whether or not the product claims to be lightfast and if so, is it in-house testing or one of the two standard testing methods. I don't think lightfastness matters to any of the budget lines. Again... love your videos. Love Rose. And love your hubby and business partner too. 😊
Thank you! I've been wondering about these as the pencils are really great. I also got all of my swatch books today, looking forward to using them! Editing to add: your nails look fabulous.
One of my favorite Skillshare instructors has a class on using these Posca pastels, so I bought them to see what it was all about. The packaging is quite snazzy, although I don't really care for the trays with the band. The band feels loose which makes me nervous. I agree that they feel a little too slender and delicate for comfort. I also have Neocolor I and II sets, and am more comfortable with their size and weight, although they're all prone to eventual breakage. The colors are nice and bright, but so are lots of other products. The bottom line is that these don't really bring anything new or wonderful to the table. Combine that with the lack of open stock availability and I'd say pass.
I appreciate your reviews. I am leaning towards water soluble products at the mo. But, I will definitely consider Posca for a crayon type experience in the future. I also have the color pencils, which have a nice opaqueness. I am going to watch your unboxing of Posca color pencils, too. ☺
Thank you so much for that review. As soon as I saw those on Amazon (for prime days pricing) I threw them in my cart. Then here you are with a review! I have a small set of Neo 1's that I've been adding to every time I make a Blick order. I am going to pass on the Posca's based on your review. I don't like the fact that they aren't open stock. But it is really cool to know that Posca has a coloring system if I ever change my mind! Thanks again!
I tried impress nails, and unfortunately, I'm allergic 1 of the ingredients in the glue pad on the inside of the nail. It took a few days for the allergic reaction to happen. Until then, they were working great.
I was looking on Amazon and found a version of the Uni Mitsubishi Pencils, which did not say Posca. Are they the same? Have you seen these? It is cheaper than the brand name Posca. 🙂
I was wondering about that, too! The Mitsubishi Uni pencils are available in a larger set than Posca, but neither of them are open stock as far as I know.
Those look nice but not been available open stock is a deal breaker for me. I rather buy the Neocolor I and purchase the colors I actually use. Once one of those Posca Pastels is gone one would need to buy a new set for just one color! Not a good idea! If the set was really cheap would be different.
I am actually not a fan of their paint pens. I like the Kingart and LOVE the Royal and Langnickel ones much better. I do want to try the pencils and maybe the pastels.
These pastels are confusing. I ordered them but for some reason thought they would be different than they are. They are very long and thin. Won't they break very easily? Looks like would need to be very etreemly careful when drawing/ coloring/ painting. Maybe they are sturdier than they look. They look too fragile. Are they like dry (chalk type) pastels or oil pastels? They seem similar to the harder dry pastels that artists use for drawing before using the softer dry pastels. Are they like a pastel pencil but without the wood? I need to draw or color with them before I judge them.
they are terrible! I have the old prismacolor pencil core sticks and tons of wax pastels and crayons and these were some of the worst wax pastels I have ever tried. Ugh.

I think Rose thought the pastels sounded like treats when they rattled in the box🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

You are getting closer now to 100k!

I already own both and thank you so much for the review. I love your reviews and honest opinion.
Thanks for this demonstration Jennifer! Enjoyable as always!
I also have the Uni Emott fineliners and the Uni colour codes numbers go across that range too
I bought both… Thanks to your videos. I love the pencils and I’m waiting for the pastels to be delivered from Amazon.
Thanks for all your hard work and research!! Great info as always. Greetings Jennifer & Steve & rose!

hi Jennifer, the pastel colour are so bright like the pencil crayons.
Maybe because they are thinner you could use a pencil holder, to firm up the coloring process. TFS Sweetie Hug's 💙🫂🌻🦋🥰
I tried impress nails, and unfortunately, I'm allergic 1 of the ingredients in the glue pad on the inside of the nail. It took a few days for the allergic reaction to happen. Until then, they were working great.
Which feel better caran dache or these?
Pass on both.
Amazon AU states they can be used with water and turpentine. Jennifer you proved them wrong. They can also be bought as singles.
Today in US on Amazon I got the NEO color 1 for 25.00 set of 15. Better value. Better name.
Do they maybe set quickly? I have a type of gelatos that are only moveable in water in the first 30 seconds or so!

I believe they aren't the same from reading a meta answer.
How much is that posca pastel pencil?Thank you
For what it's worth, "crayon" is the French word for "pencil". Caran d'Ache is Swiss (?) and I believe they speak French, too.
Are they color fast?

Amazon has the Posca pastles for $33.05 was $44 and change. Let your viewer know this.

These are $28.99 right now on amazon
I want these so bad and I have for so bad but they are $60 on Amazon Canada
High end crayons for the well to do...😅
Jennifer, I love your channel. I especially love seeing Rose. She’s a sweet girl
Nice but I will stick with my Derwent color pencils. Too many products flooding the art market.
Also I have the 30 ok of neo color 1's
The dog and the music at the beginning are very distracting.
I have these and I don’t like them at all,
they are terrible! I have the old prismacolor pencil core sticks and tons of wax pastels and crayons and these were some of the worst wax pastels I have ever tried. Ugh.
@@gingerblue my grandsons honey stick crayons are much better than these
@@barbarabrady1267 drawing with a rock you pick up from the street is softer than these!!
