    Greetings from the U.S., Crows and Pigeons are some of the best wing shooting around. Been doing it for nearly 30 years and still love it.

    Hi - they are rendered in the farm incinerator. No culinary value in corvids - except branchers in May.

    Great shooting and the best use of decoys to attract the covids I've ever seen. In the late 1950s our farm had 1000 pecan trees that lined a creek bed that marked the boundary of our property. Seeing large flocks, technically a murder of crows, brings back many memories. During September and October the crows could totally destroy the pecan crop. They were far more destructive than squirrels who would eat the entire nut. Crows would beck the until they fell from the tree and the when crows pecans on the ground they would peck a hole in the shell and leave the rest.

    is amazing animal smart then any other but We need to have control of this animal
    it create a lot damage in farming and also eats and kills other birds as well.

    I really want one of those "Flapper" crows. Around here many crows start to come in but quickly recognize the decoys as "fake" and quickly turn around. Where can I get that flapping decoy?

  • @ooweesaler
    @ooweesaler 11 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Excellent video and shooting. Interesting that you pick up the dead. I always set mine up as extra decoys they seem to work well. For me number one is the hide position and camouflage rather than the decoys.

    great video andy,what gun and chokes, and size shot are you using?? i likedto decoy crows more than woodies, as they seemed to be abit more gullilble when spotting any decoys, i used a beretta a 303 semi auto for 15 years , a great gun for decoying, i used a 1/4 choke, 32gm no 6 shot , clear pigeon cartridges, ive been shooting now for nearly 35 years , airgun, shotgun, and now a old friend has let me and my dad have a day with his .22 lr and his amazing 17hmr, my dad was like a teenager again ,which was great to see as he is 82 years old, he was hitting 4 pinters full of water at 50 to over 100 yards with great ease, what a day to remember, we went through around 500 rounds, what a gun that 17hmr is, thanks dif for the great day i had with my dad, keep hunting, keep the faith, hartcliffe hunting crew, cotty

    Mostly Rooks and Jackdaws shot here Carrion crows and hooded crows have a large territory where just one pair survive, Rooks live in flocks as do jackdaws.
    Good shooting but I wish people would get their basic natural history right.
    All birds do good by the amount of insects weeds and weed seeds they eat if they didn't we wouldn't be able to grow enough food to survive. if anyone cares to look underneath a thousand bird startling roost they'll know what I mean!

      The All Around Outdoorsmen build a blind keep it out for a few days and try to get some decoys keep them out for a few days too. That is before you go out and blast them. A electronic call would work well too. and use full choke.

    I'm not going to lie I'm a "city slicker" from the US and the crows in towns are disgusting creatures just like pigeons from the city. I do know however that rural pigeons are safe to eat is the same true for rural crows and if so are there any popular crow dishes?

    • @fatbap
      @fatbap 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nate Huller Yes, rural crows can be eaten. They are incredibly similar to the dark meat on a chicken. Any dish you can use chicken for, you can also use crow.

    Get some, please. They feel They can do as they please. So thus, bam. They are quite judgmental come to find out - in a conspicuously inconsistent manner which makes them utter pests in more ways than acknowledged. I simply cannot believe how nosy they are. Birds with double standards! It's what to expect however as they are Saturnian. Jays, their cousins, are just as bad if not worse.

    mankind wiping out nature, breaks my to see this magnificent bird being shot down by a moron who just couldn't possibly miss, no sport what so ever. if you do your research on crows you might have a change of heart.

    • @josh55611
      @josh55611 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Sounds like your the one that needs to do the research. It's the hunters that keep the population in check, while you wine in dine in the city building and expanding suburbs, all while destroying habitat. Crows kill many young animals, song birds, chase away owls, turkeys, and other large birds. There is a reason why they call them a "murder of crows"

    • @grigorirasputin234
      @grigorirasputin234 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Down_south Jsouth very presumptuous, nature was getting along just fine with its own natural hunter's..do we really need fields full cows to feed fat twats burgers, you go to Wales thave cut down all the trees fenced up all land and put sheep all over place, it's not natural it's shit..I live the country what's left of it..
