    Love the entire interview, watched it during making my breakfast & having it. Few questions were missing. I always had one concern, if PCB is earning in billions why don't they upgrade Stadiums, coz they don't give an international look, same chairs or stairs are colored with Pepsi paint etc. Why isn't there a proper focus on stadiums, quality, & strong architecture or infrastructure? We have just lhr, khi, pindi stadium, we need to built at least 8 stadiums of int level, architect aisa ho k duniya dekhy. Anyways, another question was can't we have 8 teams in PSL, so duration of tournament will increase just like IPL, plus why aren't we raising salaries of players ? IPL bought players with 20 30 crores, & we just bought maximum of $ 200k, it was a good thought to add more money or subsidy to bring players like buttler, archer, maxwell, Steve, Kane, boulton, starc etc. Overall a very good discussion & a much needed one 👍🏻

    I don't agree with islamabad united not connecting with islamabad public. Islamabad united is the only team who did celebratory march after winning the psl. Yes for marketing their franchise inside city, they are somehow lacking but compared to other franchises they doing best.

    PCB and PSL franchises are pathetic if not nonexistent when it comes to merchandise. US universities make so much money from selling merchandise.

    Credit goes to Najam Sethi. He turned PCB into a successful business enterprise + gave us a gift of ICC champions trophy and no.1 test ranking

    • @Ahmad-le6ys
      @Ahmad-le6ys 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Najam sethi had no role in champions trophy or test team number 1😂 he was awarded the position for other things. No serious fan of cricket or any sport for that matter would agree that a journalist should handle the largest sports body of the country.

    • @NM-wh8ms
      @NM-wh8ms 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Ahmad-le6ys before a journalist, Najam Sethi is a seasoned analyst. I think you need to look into his history first the achievements he has. Our country lacks critical thinking that's why we can't solve minor issues despite throwing abundant resources on it. We need more critical thinkers who understand the ground reality and can plan accordingly

    • @Ahmad-le6ys
      @Ahmad-le6ys 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      With all due respect sir /madam if sethi was such an analyst or a critical thinker why did he do nothing to change fundamental problems of Pakistan cricket. All the things that mazher have mentioned we have been hearing them for decades. Pitches are bad, balls are not international standard, domestic is not competitive. Najam sethi i am sure wanted to do better things but he didn't do anything at all to even tackle the chronic issues of Pakistan cricket because he didn't know about them. He was quickly surrounded by the same old guards at pcb who have been there forever. Right now ehsan mani and wasim khan are both professionals with international experience. Time would tell that when they are fired by the next govt they will be hired by other board immediately because they are professionals. They know the game better than an outsider no matter how good the intentions of the outsider are. And we have seen this as mazhar has elaborated in this talk that the basic system of pcb has now changed. Only time can tell if this system works in Pakistan but its the first time someone has tried to shake our decaying cricket structure.
