I had to replace the clutch in my Ransomes machine about 15 years back. I should probably have an extra one sitting in stock as I am pretty sure the one on it will fail in the not so far future. Right now I cut about four acres plus.
If the PTO starts acting up again in the near future, it will be because your battery is not charging. I didn't see you check to see if the new battery was charging. Your old battery likely wasn't bad; it was more likely that it was just low from not charging (and yes, the PTO clutch takes a lot of juice..so if the battery isn't charging, it'll soon drop to a level where it can't sustain the PTO). If it turns out that the battery is not charging, it is likely either the fuse or fuse holder (in the wiring between the engine and the seat- or mounted on the fender on one side of the engine) or your voltage regulator/rectifier (under the engine cover- an easy fix and a $50 part) So if the PTO cuts out again...don't replace the clutch.., There are videos that can show you how to check your regulator/rectifier. (But check the fuse/wiring first...that was the issue on my Gravely when the PTO quit). These things can fool ya!
I've washed my zero turn several times you not going to hurt anything just let it dry real good and parking brake has to be on not off for the blades to come on

The alternator cannot supply enough power for running the engine and the pto. Good Video!
had the same issue with my riding mower, nothing but a low battery

Thanks. The battery was definitely bad. It is charging just fine. Good advice!
@@jodaddysworkshop786 Ah, good- You should be fine now.
Mower does not have a means to charge the battery ?
It does. That’s why it will stay running after the jump. But if the battery is junk it won’t charge.

Yes. Thanks.
