people comparing this to the US military needs to stop, first of all this is NOT basic training. this is a sniper course for. for already enlisted, or reserve forces. who have already been through basic training. second, just because you think the sergeant is supposed to scream all the time just because you have been watching a lot of american war movies, doesnt make it reality, especially not in Europe. here we show respect to our soldiers, and excpect them to act professional. so we dont have to yell and hit them in the head all the time.
I've been in the American army for 3 years and the VAST majority of NCO's and commissioned officers strive for their soldiers to be professional and treat us with respect.

raja thapa it’s still sensitive training. Lol being in the service (US ARMY) basic combat training is still secretive. Sure there are videos and documentaries about BCT, but they don’t show everything because the us military protects its assets and training.
Blackout_YT if you check out TRex Arms they have a great video on training an airsofter and you’d be surprised how easily and quickly the guy picked up all the drills.

I know this is years later. but, the standard issue assault rifle you got (I didn't really hear what you said about it), is the Steyr Aug. It's a bullpup design, meaning it has most of the moving mechanisms behind the trigger, more towards the shoulder. By having those parts in that position, the recoil becomes almost nonexistent, compared to "normal" assault rifle designs. You got lucky to have a military that has incorporated a bullpup assault rifle into its everyday usage.
Jac K could be because they are filmed and the military in austria doesnt have the best reputation and they constantly want new members. Also confused me that he was allowed to film everything. Seems a little bit off.

I know this is years later. but, the standard issue assault rifle you got (I didn't really hear what you said about it), is the Steyr Aug. It's a bullpup design, meaning it has most of the moving mechanisms behind the trigger, more towards the shoulder. By having those parts in that position, the recoil becomes almost nonexistent, compared to "normal" assault rifle designs. You got lucky to have a military that has incorporated a bullpup assault rifle into its everyday usage.

How is the Austrian military so relaxed
Jac K could be because they are filmed and the military in austria doesnt have the best reputation and they constantly want new members. Also confused me that he was allowed to film everything. Seems a little bit off.
They got more relaxed because a boy died. It was pretty big news. He said he couldnt continue but the officer didnt listen. He died because of exhaustion.
