- Had a beautiful getaway up north did a little Thrifting. My family doesn’t like to be on video….
I leave that part out ,but we had lots of great food great laughter we went to the karaoke bar on Saturday night Sunday we had dinner my cousin got engaged they been togther for 28 years.
Its was beautiful im the maid of honour 💝💝💝💝💝🥰
We just had a lot of good laughs. Felt really good also got a few scores at the first store.

The lamp shade is a winner. I cover lampshades in fabric. Learned some on YT and developed some of my own techniques. I was Etsy when I found a lampshade covered in an Ankara fabric....100.00 plus shipping. I put it in my cart and seconds before I clicked "pay" had brain fart and realized I could DIY...and my 72 year old self completed the task! So far I've done 3 in my 550 Sq foot apartment and they are beautiful! I like to keep my mind busy. Love your channel Brooke! Enjoy your holi😅day. Also I lear n Ed something new this week. Canadian Thanksgiving is in OCTOBER??? How about that!!!...lol.Wonderful!!!
Oh, I wish I had that talent to make lampshades. I’m sure I could learn . Yes Thanksgiving is in October because our harvest is before yours in America and I believe Canadian started Thanksgiving in America followed suit. I just googled it to make sure I’m correct Canadians started in 1586 in America started in 1621. Ours is in October because our harvest is definitely earlier do to begin north of United States and it was really all about the harvest at that time.
Now it more commercial ..,and excuse to get together with your family because I think this generation we’re always looking for excuses. If I may say forced gatherings as no one makes time for family any more .

Thanks very much, yeah I’m lucky in my 60s I’m still able to wear them very well they don’t really hurt my feet. They are paradise and that cat is usually such a nice cat. I don’t know what happened then she came to me later wanting to love me all up again I do my trust her any More lol
@@mamabrooke Maybe you hit a sore spot or nerve while you were petting her. Parrots will lunge and bite if you hit a sore feather quill. They can be quite testy when they are molting and have a lot of new feathers with the shafts still intact. It makes them itchy and irritable. We bathe them more often during those times, to give them relief.

I did it once, but I didn’t like how it looked when I turned the light on maybe it was just the wrong line inside. Glad just turned out.💝

Mama Brooke you can paint lampshades with chalk paint and they look wonderful! It covers really good and is not streaky. I got my chalk paint at Walmart. Hope you have a great time on your trip.
