@lt.dfireman8664 - Thanks for your comment. Safety glasses/goggles are indeed a good idea to keep venom out of the eyes. However, they are only useful on days that aren't too hot. Some days are so hot that any safety lenses immediately fog up from sweating and they blind us in the field. On those days we've learned to squint while working to keep venom out of eyes. It usually works, but sometimes we get the red eye venom treatment!
