Thank you sir, locking in the same groove with every element is something I never was aware of needed. Bet this is going to tighten up my sound so much.
NICE! really helpful information. It's always tricky getting some great drums grooving without them sounding like the stock stuff from back in the day. Thanks dude!
You are a legend for this amazing tutorial! Great tips! The minimeter plugin is an amazing tool Would love to see a tutorial on how you make those high octane thumping bass
Excellent mate! Well thought out and coherent content, well delivered and nicely edited (although the intermittent highpass on your voiceover was an interesting choice 🙂) I was already familiar with a lot of these techniques but you made this interesting enough for me to watch the whole thing through, and the fact that you care about your grooves so much shone through with this beat. It's a groove. Cheers
Ayye thanks so much Leo!! Really appreciate feedback like this!! And yessss a new microphone is first up on the shopping list - the current one gets loose sometimes and thus the high passed signal :(
great tutorial, loads of great tips, what is the wave from visualiser at the top of your screen, been looking for something like this, looks like the traktor waveforems
haha so awesome.. i love the humor plus the learning is so easy with this... this is definitely high quality tutorial videos im willing to pay for... thank you for these videos.. instant subscriber
Cool video. I liked the 4/4 beat already from the start of watching. And sure, this is not a DAW discussion, but man I'm constantly baffled by the fact that many people are using Ableton. I'm a Cubase user and I find myself constantly shaking my head and raising my one eyebrow... Anyway, it's the cook, not the kitchen, right.
Not familiar with you or your work but from this tut I can tell your stuff is worth checking out. Looking forward to more content from you and thank you for sharing some knowledge. 🖤
Thanks a lot for this tutorial buddy !! Question, what is the name of the app or plug in you use to see the spectrum/audio vision while you are producing ? Have a good day or night, take care mate!
Bro thanks for this cool asf tutorial!! Can I ask you how do you show these crazy soundwave and frequency spectrum on the top of your screen? Keep it up bro!!!
Very rarely!! If I do it would be subtle. However sometimes this is more common with techno and hardgroove. Even then tho, it wouldn’t be extreme amounts of sidechain, just a bit to create the pumping effect.
Great video! I've learned a lot about drum fill theory, like and sub. One question, how did you get that real time Serato visual on the very top of the video?
i don't know if anyone is gonna read this because this video is from a year ago but I am having an issue that I can't figure out no matter how much I trouble shoot. I am following the step where I freeze and flatten the clap track with the ping pong delay and I did it exactly and after I freeze and flatten, the delay effect is no longer there and its just the clap.
This tutorial is a hidden gem. A lot of awesome tips to improve your sound and make your tracks danceable. Thank You
i watched this tutorial and immediately was called to play edc next year. 10/10 recommend
Wow, best testimony ever
Swinging the pingpong clap was a big brain move... Thanks for all the tips clove cant wait for the next one!
