Hi. Good Sound. Just some questions, how did you connect the DDJ with the RMX and how do you record the mix with all the effects? I want to use DDJ and RMX without speakers just with headphone and record my mixes with all the effects of the RMX 500...Im using the DDJ SZ and Serato DJ...Thanx for your support!

So here's my take - I love the RMX-1000! LOVE IT! The cut/add and HPF echo functions just rock and love having the xpad for adding in kicks and claps during mix. However in order to make it work with the ddj-1000SRT I needed to take the output from headphone to the input on the RMX-1000 then take the RMX-1000 output back to a different channel (in my case, 3). Then I basically cue my 2 serato inputs (1-2) and leave volume down, then take and output from channel 3 (my rmx-1000 input), use that to set tone and add effects from the DDJ-1000SRT or Serato effects via midi control, and that goes through to my monitor outputs. It's a crappy workaround, and changes the way you mix and frankly is incompatible if you mix with headphones for audio cueues. I dont however, either timing by serato display on pc, or by using a second set of speakers I have running through a standard amp setup. However it works for me, at least for now. Basically this endeavor has me looking at the denon 6000 units or the new cdj-3000s and a pro level mixer unit, but I just dont have that kind of money right now to invest... Hope this helps anyone looking to bridge from hobbyist to pro hardware. To summarize, RMX-1000 rocks, and invest in pro decks and mixer vs trying to go cheaper route if you're truly serious about pursuing dj'ing.
