Hello all. If your controller or mixer doesn't have a send/return feature (like my djm 400), you can simply go over the master output. This could also be done with mixers that do have send/return & you could use the rmx on the master & layer other fx over that on the other channels. I don't know why more people don't do that? Anyway take care people!
I own this unit and I Love it. Digital Dj Tips needs to make another video of more indepth on this unit because it got alot more to offer but again good video
Pioneer Rmx 500 was released 2007 and price for brand new $499USD. I bought a used one for $285 on Ebay in 2020. Now, on th present time on Fall of 2023 a used Pioneer Rmx 500 price is on Ebay $899 to $1,000 USD. Like Wow! Because, Everybody wants to be Dj and High demand on this remix machine product from Dj Pioneer reputation...
Hi Phil. Bought this off the back of your review and I love this unit. Problem though. I use these with the Pioneer XDJ RX. However the effects arent coming out on my podcast I understand I'll now need to get a laptop with soundcard to route my setup through that so I can record my sets with FX included...that right?
1. Can the effects be applied to one channel at a time (Running a Rane TTM-57SL) 2. Can I record what I'm doing (within the software preferebly with the TTM-57) 3. Connections (how / with what) TNX
Hey Justice, believe so - there's a similar forum question here you can check out: forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/115009401826-RMX-500-with-behringer-djx-750
I’ve been looking at the RMX unit as it looks like a lot of fun but so far, was able to control my gear acquisition syndrome :-). I’m hoping that Pioneer comes with a new effects unit in 2021 as I struggle to drop 650 euro on tech which came out 9 years ago.
I have a DDJ SX2 and a RMX500 and i am unable to record the effects from the RMX500 when i am recording a mix using Serato DJ. how can i solve that problem?
I dont think u can. The RMX is at the gate where the sound leave the controller. Meaning whatever you do on the controller leave the controller and enter into RMX before reaching your speaker. So if u record from your SDJ/VDJ or Controller it will not capture the RMX
Hello i got a question; When i record with my XDJ-RX and this remix station the audio does not get captured from the rmx-500 when i listen to the recording file, which was recorded with the master record button on the XDJ-RX. (I have wired the XDJ-RX into the RMX-500 and then into my sound system and the RMX-500 is super great i love it but sadly i dont know how to get the sound recorded )
omg this just screams "please consumers spend some more money on something else you don't really need!" lol Producers and engineers spend most of their lives focussing on prefect audio recordings and .production techniques and then Pioneer gives Djs this tool so they can completely f---- it up I would say this could be good for highly experienced Djs that have an excellent knowledge of production and remixing etc If you are learning to DJ I would advise you to focus on the main things first and as Phil knows , its paramount that first of all you focus on right tunes for the event,
Sad that they havent made new FX machine that links to pro dj link to stay locked to beatgrids.
Perhaps a new one is on the way!
just bought one of these, excited to add it to the arsenal. great video and explanation of who would use this and why.
Are you still using this unit?? Would you recommend it?
Can't wait to have fun with this to some some deep house and add some time with creativity to my set.
Awesome, enjoy :)
This is my first time seeing this... This is AWESOME!
Thanks for watching :)

***** Do you know if you can program a side chain effect with a phaser to this?
“That’s your get out of largin’ it button!” Haha love it!
Haha ;)
We've all been there and needed that kinda button 🤣
Hi Phil, can you please give me the name of the track that your playing
Is it possible to link it with other equipment like the Denon MCX 8000 or XDJ-xz with external hardware?
It needs an effects send and return. You could use it with those units, but it would just be across the master output.
Can this be used with the xdj rx?
great effects from pioneer
thank you
If you are using cdjs do you always have to sync the drum machines manually?
Not necessarily depending on your mixer but it's probably the best way
hi, can i use rmx 500 with behringer djx750?

We hear you, it can be hard to take the plunge sometimes when something is this old even if there isn't a new version
Can't wait to get myself 1 of these. Seems so much more fun than the rmx 1000. Hello everybody & take it cheesy!
