If you just watch the video, it seems that he's just singing casually. Then, if you look closer, you can see the emotion in his face, as if he's reminiscing at the same time. Truly brilliant.
As someone who spends pretty much every weekend on a Jersey Shore beach. It's just something about this song that makes so much sense and I feel like I know exactly what he's talking about.
PapaShongo25 Grew up and live too far away from there but I feel like I understand every single word and not just from this song..... With his songwriting, Brian just has a way of reminding people they have a heart.
He’s not even there. He’s in a different time in his life. He’s singing about something that we’ll never know anything about. 99% chance it was something that broke his heart. I know this because I know exactly what that face looks like.
Friendly and i like the quiet in his voice, makes me feel alright again and let's music live on for me. Well done. I'm gonna qouter this if i don't get beefed too much by it.
We are the boys from Little Eden We are the heart of Saturday night We drink from the fountains off the fireworks Sweat and bone for a better life We like our choruses sung together We like our arms in our brothers' arms Call every girl we ever met Maria But I only love Virginia's heart Still we sing with our heroes, 33 rounds per minute We're never going home until the sun says we're finished I'll love you forever if I ever love at all Wild hearts, blue jeans, & white t-shirts Some things baby never told you Some things papa done ain't right Spent a lifetime just to get over You always said my mama tried Still we sing with our heroes, 33 rounds per minute We're never going home until the sun says we're finished I'll love you forever if I ever love at all With wild hearts, blue jeans, & white t-shirts So tonight I'll call you from a Fourth Street payphone We'll sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride Someday I'll buy you that house on Cookman We could sleep on the beach all night Sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride Sleep on the beach all night Sleep on the beach all night Sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride
Cool! 🇧🇴🇧🇷
It's really cool that they sung this song on Letterman, because this is the one with the Tom Waits reference (Heart of Saturday Night) and David Letterman is good friends with Tom Waits.
You have to consider that commercial is the fact why you could see this videos for free.. But if you don't like commercial install some add-on for your browser (Adblock plus for example) and magically you could see all videos without commercial
It's weird. I watch so many of my favourite bands on youtube and see dislikes and think oh well just different opinions but when i saw this video with only 1 dislike i still said to myself who can dislike this then 2 seconds later i saw your comment. This song is too good
i know i can absolutely identify with it. i rented a beach house on cookman right on an inlet of the shore. sad to think that place and so many other places probably aren't standing anymore. heres to jersey.
I'm not from New Jersey, not even America - so was just wondering why sometimes the crowd cheer often during the live performance when he sings "someday I'll buy you that house on cookman"? What's the deal with that
The band is from New Jersey, and this is being performed in New York, so there are a lot of New Jersey fans there. Cookman is the name of a street in Asbury Park, NJ where the band has played a lot of shows, and the city is known for its great musical history including seeing Bruce Springsteen rise to fame.
Makes you wonder how terrible bands make it... Coldplay 😂... who's d*** didn't they polish or who did they piss off...they and Brian deserve much more!!!!
Gaslight is one of the few bands that when listening, I get the chills.
This guy has written the soundtrack to the last 15 years of my life
+Harry Brown well that`s funny, because I think they wrote it all for me :D
Destyan Eka Prasetya no,me!
Just for me
This guy just gets us man.
You did wear blue jeans and white t-shirts the last 15 years? xD
This song always cuts deep
I love how, every time I watch this song live, he smiles when people sing the high-pitched backing vocals at 0:56. :)
Brian's Songs never get old. Love love love❤❤❤❤❤❤
If you just watch the video, it seems that he's just singing casually. Then, if you look closer, you can see the emotion in his face, as if he's reminiscing at the same time. Truly brilliant.
it‘s beyond words this one...
one of my faves they've done - emotion in hisface no one sings the blues like Brian
This performance is just haunting.

This 100%…he is definitely in another time, another place
We like our choruses sung together...
we like our arms in our brother‘s arms...

2:30 The look on Brian face is just wow
ReturnDivided I know this comment is 5 years old but damn, it’s like he’s in a different place in his mind.
First song ever listen by TGA. Always my fav!
My heart still aches with this, 33 rounds per minute.
Friendly and i like the quiet in his voice, makes me feel alright again and let's music live on for me. Well done. I'm gonna qouter this if i don't get beefed too much by it.
Amazing
Saw them last night. I was officially rocked. .Wow.. what an amazing band
My favorite song from my favorite band, and Brian Fallon and I just happened to have the same birthday ❤❤

Gaslights so badass
Love this song. Glad it made it here.
I stumbled across these in 2007 in Reading festival; quality!
Me too!! What a happy accident that was. Quality!
I'll always sing with these heroes of mine.
And we can again my man!! LFG
Top, top band
We are the boys from Little Eden
We are the heart of Saturday night
We drink from the fountains off the fireworks
Sweat and bone for a better life
We like our choruses sung together
We like our arms in our brothers' arms
Call every girl we ever met Maria
But I only love Virginia's heart
Still we sing with our heroes, 33 rounds per minute
We're never going home until the sun says we're finished
I'll love you forever if I ever love at all
Wild hearts, blue jeans, & white t-shirts
Some things baby never told you
Some things papa done ain't right
Spent a lifetime just to get over
You always said my mama tried
Still we sing with our heroes, 33 rounds per minute
We're never going home until the sun says we're finished
I'll love you forever if I ever love at all
With wild hearts, blue jeans, & white t-shirts
So tonight I'll call you from a Fourth Street payphone
We'll sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride
Someday I'll buy you that house on Cookman
We could sleep on the beach all night
Sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride
Sleep on the beach all night
Sleep on the beach all night
Sleep on the beach if we ain't got a ride
Truly one of the best from GA.
This song really grew on me. I hum it all the time.
Perfect

Awesome band.
Love it , absolutely best song 😭😋

AlmostMyself and the mama tried? It’s a nod to Johnny paycheck song, that’s so awesome
saddest song on earth but I love it so much.
It's funny because the song sings about stuff that you wouldn't really consider sad.
@@Sealwithwificonnection And their upbeat songs a super sad
Thank you
who in the world can dislike this?

The skate ,surf and snowboard commercial was sweet
so fucking great
God i miss this shit
I hear it, even when it's not playing. Sigh
I'm not from New Jersey, not even America - so was just wondering why sometimes the crowd cheer often during the live performance when he sings "someday I'll buy you that house on cookman"? What's the deal with that
Just a bunch of new jersians being proud

priceless
Does anyone know what sort of Tele that is?
Lol at about a minute in, is Brian laughing at the background vocals? :P
Someone born without ears.
"And"
@JADEDPUNKHULK
Makes you wonder how terrible bands make it... Coldplay 😂... who's d*** didn't they polish or who did they piss off...they and Brian deserve much more!!!!
Blue jeans and white t-shirts and white peopel.
This is honestly one of their best songs. Keep it up guys! NOT your best performance of this song though...
