I don't really know if there is a point even thinking about this but I do sometimes see players just not really seeing the results they expected, despite watching many videos like these. Do you have any videos that maybe go over any relevant topics? Like, overcoming being hardstuck, the correct work ethic, etc. Been trying to type less and send more links instead, to people who reach out to me asking for help.

I recently told a 2 episode hardstuck controller main gold player to switch to playing jett/raze/reyna after watching how he plays and now he's my duo in ascendant 3 within a month..... 💀💀
Most of these "Radiant Coaches" promote some teamplay, communication and agents variety in ranked environment, while in reality 95% of them got Radiant for the first time by abusing "my meta picks" and insta-locking duelists! There's a lot of hypocrisy in Valorant community...

@@Charla7an Most real coach out there, I respect you even more for saying that. There's some teamplay but 7/10 games team mates will not comm a single time (if they do, it's only to flame you) + not use utility. So the only countermeasure is learning how to read the mini-map, playing aggressive/bait as a duelist, and be selfish all around to climb. I only play for the team when people are actually willing to try...I was deeply saddened by the fact that not even immortal/radiant lobbies get that much of an improvement in communication/team play. It's certainly better but not as good as I expected...
That's crazy💀 I switched to duelist from controller and I went from S3 to G2 in a day but now I started losing lmao back to g1

I was Brim and Breach main for the longest time and only reached gold. I only found success when I started playing Omen as my main. He's more flexible in terms of maps, he has smoke and blind as well, and suits more my aggressive playstyle. I also win duels more with shrouded step because I'm not a good shooter but shrouded step gives me an advantage where I can trick enemies or use the boxes. And the fact that I can plant the bomb in the other site when i need to using his ult.

Started playing valorant This act and currently plat 1 peak - My mentality is seriously really low when I play certain agents and this video really explains a lot of reasons why (teammates, solo q carry potential, etc.)
Oddly enough my highest win rate is cypher with 54% the only time i lose on this agent is when my attack side is lacking. Otherwise I carry hard.
Going to apply this agent tier list to my gameplay and see how it affects my journey! Quality content and love the agent breakdown.
5 days ago I watched this video and switched from viper/cypher/killjoy to mainly chamber, and raze and jett. I went from Ascendant 2 to Immortal 1 within this time period and had a win loss ratio of 11W/4L. Really useful guide and would highly suggest playing these self sufficient agents. Even if I had 4 duelists and 1 controller or a comp with no initator we won those games, proving that your team comp doesn't matter. TLDR: very useful guide

I mostly play Duo Q and honestly love Gekko and Cypher. It is a struggle to play Attack side with Cypher, but I believe it's because I used to main Sage and sit passively in one spot. It's a really bad habit to pick up a sentinel as you start and rely on util istead of your aim. As a low elo player I think it's actually good to play aggro even on defence, but with a strategy in mind. Especially when I can coordinate with team and use Gekko's Thrash / Dizzy to catch enemies running onto site off guard. To be honest, I only started climbing when I switched to Gekko; sentinels don't have that much carry potential for an inexperienced player.

I was originally a viper main because I was more passive, but now I’m playing more aggressively and have moved to omen because he can set me up to win a lot of fights
personally what i do is i prefer jett and raze depending on the map but if no controllers then i play omen

Where do you think Clove falls into? I've been maining her as a flex controller and top fragging. I do believe Omen is better but for solo q Clove feels high on the list for viability and self sustain.

I think that on console movement type of agents will be really hard to kill and definitely a bit better compared to the static agents in the game...
I am a Plat/Diamond Cypher player but I haven't put a crazy amount of hours into the game so I am satisfied with my rank for the moment. I have been playing cypher as my main for a while now and in low elo I have not really ran into many issues with him on attack if you know how to use his util well. He is extremely strong on post plant on any map and I can even entry onto sites with him when my team is too slow to. However this is only achievable through watching VODS of pro cypher players of High elo one tricks (Ascend Chiwa, Dinghy, Spawns). Im going to stick with him as my main but CHARLATAN is right for the general population of Low elo players. Since cyphers buff, he has been made stronger and his pick rate has increased. However I see some cypher players being confused on how to use him on attack so be careful, PLEASE learn setups on attack and defence first before using him in Ranked as he will be useless pick for the team if he isn't utilised properly. Anyways, this is a great video!
absolutely, sentinels are easier to improve on bc of this. just having 2-3 setups can put you so far ahead of your opponents
I subbed ty. I came from cs, csgo and my strength is aim and game sense. Can you recommend some agents? I like phoenix because he can flash and if I get hurt I can heal myself. The flash is good for aggressive but sometimes I lurk. Thank you!
Jett, Phoenix & Chamber would be easy TOP 3 picks for you, Chamber would make a lot of sense, especially if you love to lurk a lot! ^^
Great video! Something I've been struggling with since starting and maining mostly Omen is that in this act especially, he is not as viable as a single controller team (breeze/icebox) and I don't enjoy playing viper as much.
Maybe I'll try duelist role with raze/phoenix.
Omen on Icebox is amazing up to Immortal 3 (even as a solo controller), if you're using my setups! ^^
Unfortunately on Breeze, he's only viable as a secondary controller and you're mainly playing him as a duelist in that case scenario :/

Is this list strictly about solo queue or does it apply to duo/trio or five stack as well? Like , for example, is Sova viable in a trio ?
It applies only to solo/duo ranked environment! ^^
If you're already playing in a trio/four/five stack, you should take in consideration team composition for a specific map and which agents are the best on that map...
Also in that trio/four/five stack environment, I guess you can trust your teammates to some degree, I don't know why would you grind with bad players that can't carry xD

Hi charlatan i am omen main, diamond3 now, and i feel like playing SOVA is much better than Omen when it comes to Ascent (although I am familiar with your omen strategies in playbook haha).
I just feel like SOVA is a monster on defense, kills are guaranteed at the start of the round and retake, if I abuse odin and guardian. On attack taking mid control will also be extremely advantageous if using some line ups.
is my feeling correct, or I need some improvement for my omen play?😂
Omen is far superior compared to Sova on Ascent, all the way up to Immortal 3, because with Sova you do have a few cheesy plays for some easy kills, but the amount of things that you can do with Omen on that map, his versatility and self-sustainability are uncomperable metrics! ^^
Finally Chamber is justified . I've been getting judged for playing him and since I have more than 200 hours with 100+ of them being after his nerfs and I got to learn his new playstyle and I have fun playing him. Chamber mains assemble :>

coach pls answer, is it possible to rank immo/radiant with 60hz? cause my laptops is 60 hz, but when i play with 144 on internet cafe its feel very different, very easy to be top frag and hit enemy head, like the game become easy for me, but with 60 hz im likely get one tapped than 144 hz
You can reach Radiant with 60hz, but it's like you're playing some kind of a challenge xD
Good equipment is extremely important for ranked grind in FPS games, in order to fully unlock your potential and push the skill ceiling! ^^
If i play reyna will that help me improve my aim because she is entirely dependent on aim and almost nothing else and can you make a utility usage guide? I just dont use it because i keep waiting for the “perfect time”

And when it comes to playing Reyna in order to improve your mechanical skill, I think it's a stupid advice...
You should be working on your aim outside of the ranked servers, and inside of the game you should be developing other skill-sets!
First time viewer, and gotta say some of these takes are pretty interesting. Granted I just hit gold for the first time so I shouldn’t say too much, but by far my best games now are with cypher and sage. I used to only play neon and phoenix but I got sick of how frequently I was the first death. Left no room to learn scenarios as you were just expected to be entry and pray you don’t die immediately. Now with cypher I feel my util carries me through games but I get kills and assists like crazy on defense and occasionally get some cool plays on offense. I think the 64% win rate speaks to his abilities, weird to see him not recommended until much higher rsnks
Cypher just doesn't have good self-sustainability and versatility compared to some other agents, but I still rate him as an S Tier agent! ^^

Completely agree with the tier list, however puting viper and yoru low cause you need to learn lineups as one of the negative things about them is the only thing that I have to say depends on the person, some people enjoy investing time to master the agents they like. I mained viper from iron to immortal 3 and she is a beast of an agent if you just put a little more effort into learning her kit.
It's not only because of lineups, Omen is an S+ Tier agent while he also requires a lot of time to learn proper setups & executes! ^^
Viper in ranked environment is only playable as a solo controller on Breeze, Icebox & Pearl to some degree, while on every other map she can only be played as a secondary controller.
She doesn't have self-sustainability and adaptiveness for ranked environment, and solo carrying on Viper is borderline an impossible task with her kit in some scenarios.
When it comes to Yoru, he's lacking success consistency in his setups and once again you can't play this agent as a solo duelist on any map in Valorant.
This means that you're always taking a spot for some agent that might be much more valuable in your team composition compared to Yoru.
And even with the perfect lineups and setups, most of them are 50:50 to some degree.
If you're Boaster (Controller main) or Eggster (Yoru main), you can probably reach Radiant with any agent, but 99.9% of Valorant community isn't even close to their levels of gameplay! ^^
@@Charla7an True, specially with the nerfs from the previous seasons, Viper has become unplayable on some maps as a solo controller. The Molly nerf was fine, the ultimate nerf was understandable but the nerf on the fuel cost when using both smokes was just sad and it was only to force the double smoke meta even harder.
Any guesses what a new agent will be, Iso is so bad, they need to redeem themselves this year. 😃

I got a question, if i main omen and someone takes him. Should i just play viper even tho im not as good with her as omen (i only play viper on breeze and icebox) Or should i dodge and hope my main doesnt get taken in the next game?
1. I've never seen someone instalock Omen in ranked xD
2. You can dodge that game, because it's better for you to play your main agent.
3. Beside Omen you should master 1 more agent and have 2 flex/fill picks up to Immortal 3 anyways! ^^

HEY, My team won 3 times in a row when I played as Reyna, this act. But in all 3 I was the worst player on my team. At least iso is worst than her
im going to try this because solo queue is 50/50> toxic players that troll, very nice players that give comms and play good. The problem with me is that I play all agents I have because i cant decide what to pick, my favorite is cypher bcs i learned setup and i absolutely dominate players at defenders but it kindoff boring ngl just having to wait for them to come to you setup, and i always play like crap when I'm with him at attackers, I'm going to try the agents you talked about in the video to see if i can stop being hardstuck. And one last thing, what do you think about the new agent, Clove?

omen is great
I understand flexibility of raze, jett, and omen. However I have found Yoru to be insanely fun and kinda cracked out if u play wild with low hesitation (kinda like omen).. is it bad that im gold and wanna play yoru?
For Gold players Yoru might be a bit too complicated, but it's definitely a great agent for ranked environment and I put him right now at S Tier!
He is fun to play and has a lot of outplay potential, but you really need to have good map and game awareness to make him work...
I haven't been playing Valorant for too long and it's my first fps game cuz I previously prefered other types of games and finding my main agent is really difficult for me, so maybe you could recommend me something to try? From what I can already say is that I rather prefer to stay a little bit in the back and my playstyle is rather calm/not too agressive. And it's not quite because I can't play in an agressive way but rather because I don't like too much chaos since it gets me confused. I have ADHD so I would rather prefer an agent that isn't too complicated or at least doesn't require a lot of memorizing things (like complicated line-ups etc.) since I already have trouble focusing because of my illness. I was thinking about trying to learn Omen/Chamber but I don't know if it is a good idea.
Start with omen and give it a while and you’ll stick with him or realize what part you click with and swap to someone that embodies that
Try out Omen, Chamber & Gekko, see how these agents work for you and then make a decision... probably Chamber & Gekko would be better options based on what you've said in this comment! ^^

That's impossible, you just need to adapt your playstyle with them to this new elo! ^^
Do u think I should start maiming Skye as bronze 3? I have not really been doing good with many agents and I want to try a new one. I like playing agressive and getting frags. (Btw I always solo queue)
She is a good agent, but I mainly recommend players in MID & HIGH ELO to play Skye, some other agents are far better for LOW ELO! ^^

Well skye just got massive nerfs so would not recommend now. Based on what you said, you'd probably be best off with one of the top 3 picks in the video. Omen/Raze/Jett. I think Omen would be the best choice personally because aside from just being an all-round great pick, you'll also get to play him pretty much every game because controller is one of the least picked roles especially in low elo.

would love to hear your thoughts on Clove, now that they've almost completely replaced Omen in ranked. They're statistically an absolute monster on the ranked ladder across every map, but they're also basically Reyna with smokes.

Both Omen & Clove are right now the best controllers for ranked grind - it depends on players skill-level, playstyle, etc.

Harbor on Sunset can be a really good pick, but he always requires a secondary controller with himself, and his solo carry potential as an agent is really low :/
Me who plays whatever I feel like playing and have somehow managed to get to Immortal 1 12 rr somehow watching this rn 🤯
I would say I feel most comfortable on controllers (omen and clove mostly with viper on Breeze specifically) but sometimes I just feel like a Sova main (Ascent mostly)

People need to understand that these Valorant guides are focused on the "general player base" and some tips won't work for everyone...

@@Charla7an Honestly Fade has low pick rate and kayo has a terrible win rate in low rank. But they have been working with me. Having agents I like and actually want to be good at like fade has helped more than trying to force skye on me. Thanks

Coach, I am bronze 1. I am very good on Chamber and have huge impact on most of my games dropping like 16-17 kills on average but being important in holding space for my team and getting first blood. But I also want to master jett but whenever I play her I hardly even get to 10 kills 😢😢. My teamates complain about me being a duelist and bottom fragging. I feel like my aim is very good compared to other people in my elo. What do you think I should do?
If you already enjoy Chamber, why not simply stick to him? Maybe you can try someone more simple than Jett, such as Phoenix? Carrying with Phoenix in LOW ELO lobbies should be easy, while he can still teach you a lot when it comes to proper utility usage, teamplay and other important skills! ^^
Yes but Chamber is not good on all the maps for example if the enemy has kayo I have a hard time. I simply cannot play phoenix he always gets instalocked and there are some maps like sunset and Lotus where Jett would help the team team take space easily and quickly and I am good with the op too.
And since Jett and chamber both have some common util like dash and rendezvous and both can get out quickly after getting frags. Sometimes when chamber gets picked I wish to play Jett but I suck at playing Jett so I choose to fill in as smokes or sentinel
I don't know why I am good at chamber but so bad at Jett
@@Charla7anThere are also some maps where Jett is more viable than chamber and I simply get bored of playing him only continously in every match.

I totally get the Astra point I have been hard stuck gold and have basically tried all the agents in the game in the past year but my best agent that I liked was astra the game where the whole team was talking my Astra until was unstoppable only due to the fact we could play around it but when no comms then no use of that util because u can’t do anything as urself while playing Astra most of the times u would die because even if ur in the defending side then ur teammates would just runaway or not tell u about the push when ur in astral mode or even not say anything it’s like guessing where u would need to smoke

The thing Deadlock is missing compared to other sentinels is her trips reacting to sound and not movement? Ah yes, Sages trips are my favourite! They can’t ever get past those!
Sage is a situational agent that is only being played as a fill on some of the maps, and her utility is 5x better compared to Deadlock! ^^
And I put Sage also extremely low in this SoloQ Tier List...
My biggest problem trying to main Cypher in my elo: duelists/initiators watching where my trips are on attack instead of pushing. I'm almost always having to entry because they won't, leading them to get mad at me for not being able to clear site.
I want to main yoru, but he just gets outclassed by phoenix Jett and raze. I feel like yoru is better then phoenix cuz I would rather have a tp and a clone then a wall and molly. I also don’t wanna play raze or Jett cuz I do good with flash agents. Should I still main yoru? I feel like he’s good for me but he’s risky to play

This guy just gave me lots of confidence because I main mostly gekko neon and omen and besides omen everyone says neon is trash or gekko isn't good but this guy is saying that neons A tier and gekko S tier? You need more recognition how the hell do you have less subs than skillcapped?
Omen is an amazing agent to main for self-improvement and grind, he has tremendous amount of self-sustainability, carry potential and adaptiveness!
Gekko is amazing on some Valorant maps as a solo initiator, and in low/mid elo lobbies you can easily solo carry games with this agent.
Neon is not really my top pick when it comes to duelists, but she can be really good in some case scenarios...

Yes it's me I'm asking for, and when I play smokes I put too much effort and awareness on positions of teammates, mini map, where to put smokes, and it takes away my aim focus.
My Agent order is currently:
1. Yoru
2. Deadlock
3. Iso
4. Gekko
I have also played a lot of Raze before, some breach and Kayo too.
Iso is not good, but he is okay...
The problem is why would you play Iso if other duelists are far superior right now?
Deadlock doesn't have the same level of self-sufficiency as other Sentinels, but the main problem of this agent is that her trips are sound sensors and they need to be triggered based on movement. She is really bad at holding the flanks or lurks and she can't take the spot from someone such as Killjoy or Cypher. She is not THAT bad, but she has the same problem as Iso. Why would you play Deadlock when there are far better agents right now?
I can easily recommend you to main Jett, Raze, Yoru & Gekko based on everything that you've mentioned! ^^

I'm not a wizard my friend, without checking your gameplay and your stats, there's nothing that I can do to help you with this problem :/
In a game of Valorant, beside focusing on what you should do and what enemies are doing, you also need to focus on your "bad" teammates as well.
Personally I'm more focused on compensating my teammates mistakes and babysitting them 24/7 rather than anything else.
When it comes to mechanical skill, at the end of the day we still need to take the kills, so even though mechanics should be 20% of your gameplay, you still need to work on that aim.
For an example my aim is the bottom threshold for Radiant, but what allows me to grind this game consistently is every other skill-set that I've developed on really high levels.
I'd highly recommend you to check my 2nd TH-cam channel where I've uploaded over 70+ LIVE VOD Reviews, maybe there you can find some solution for yourself.

i totally agree on the DL sensor being triggered by movement bcz then holding flanks would be easier and u can trip spike in post scenario even catching more than 2 players in it but riot wont listen as always.
If they make this change, Deadlock would be S Tier sentinel on some maps, in my opinion! ^^
@@Charla7an agreed, but seeing how her kit works. It seems like her gimmick lies mainly around sound, I mean most of her util either relies on sound like sensor or gives a sound clue like her ultimate when being shot at, her nade while being removed, or her barrier as well. I think taking that sound aspect would take away from that.
And I believe she's a direct competitor to sage rather than KJ or cypher.

i tried to play jett/raze on my alt acc with the same rank (ascendant) and i just suck with them, movement type of agents really overwhelming me. so i think about phoenix to main, idk bro i main reyna but since i’ll be immortal in a moment i won’t be that useful anymore in higher elos.
You need to spend at least 300 to 500 hours on 1 agent in order to call that character "main agent" and in order to feel comfortable on them...
You can't decide after a few hours if some agent suites your or not, you need to spend at least 50 hours with them in order to make that decision! ^^

as a Ascendant player I only pick controller or duelist, i really can't play any ini & sen except chamber and kayo beside two of them I botfrag with all the other sen,ini main in duelist: yoru, and raze (yoru cause it fit my playstyle & raze cause jett got nerf and i like the booooom bot) & main in controller: brim and omen (cause the lineup of brim and the flexible of omen)

I still think that she deserves to be in the Garbage Tier for ranked environment, and I wouldn't touch that agent until some more meaningful buffs! ^^

That's why experimenting and finding a perfect playstyle for yourself is really important! ^^

That's why when you're playing someone like Jett - you need to focus on minimap, on your teammates, timing and proper executes for every scenario!
With Jett you can easily take space for your team, even if your teammates have poor communication or utility usage...
i wouldn’t say kj is immobile though, she’a amazing for players like me who can outsmart their opponents, i’ve won 70% clutches with her this act. sadly she’s good only on three maps so idk what to main, i would play duelists but my aim is too idk, choppy? and very inconsistent. i’m gonna try today jett and raze on alt and i’ll see. i just deranked from a3 almost 50 rr to a2 50 rr :’)

Movement type of agents teach you at least 90% of the most important skill-sets that you need to master in Valorant! ^^
