I think Lois is a character who added almost nothing in the original run but became really funny in how outlandish her actions are after Family Guy came back. I like late-season Lois much more than early Lois.
youre crazy if you think new lois is better than old lois, the characters have become so flandarized that its just the same trash as brickleberry and paradise PD. Old lois and old family guy in general had way more soul than the family guy from season 10 and everything past that. Lois played a big part in earlier roles.

What I hate most about modern Lois is the time when she snuck and came onto Meg's boyfriend Anthony. However if he had really been a good boyfriend he would've pushed Lois away saying "Hey what are you doing miss griffin?! I'm dating your daughter and you're married!"
Season 8 was a big turning point for Family Guy in general, w/ "Jerome is the New Black" being a harbinger of things to come. In particular, this is in regards to its b-plot where Quagmire suddenly has always hated Brian (despite this not being evident before). The end result is an admittedly darkly hilarious deconstruction of Brian's character up to that point, the follow-up moment w/ Stewie acting as a fitting balm to that burn. Instead of using that moment as a catalyst to give Brian some growth in future episodes, they decided to give up on him and lean into his flaws. The show would then apply this approach to any character that has appeared more than a few times. Much like The Simpsons' own Season 8 breaking of the suspension of disbelief, "Homer's Enemy" (a classic), they had the choice to either turn away from the "too real" moments toward the cartoony tone of earlier episodes or embrace it and go darker. Unfortunately, they went hard on the latter, making the entire family despicable in the process.
Yes the Lois timeline has arrived! and you're right Lydia While Peter has done some terrible things, Lois is no saint either hell in some cases she's done even worse things than Peter.
But there was also that episode where we saw Chris’ birth announcement on the fridge for Lois setting the record for birthing the world’s largest baby.
If I did have to give Lois some credit, is shes no one you wanna mess with. Not only did she get Stewies Treat or Treat candy back, but she got the bullies candy, their Welcome matte and $40 Dollars from the mother! Well...make that $80!

Peter, Lois, Brian and Chris should be in the house when Meg blows it the F up, then drives a steamroller over it, plants dynamite blows it up again, then place a tombstone that reads "Here lies the grave to four shits!" with the back reading "From Quagmire" giggidy that one arsehole!
