Very helpful video. I was nervous and intimidated at the thought of taking apart my phone. But your step action guide was clear and easy to follow. Thank you so much!
excellent video, followed your steps, and everything went perfectly. Getting the old glue off and getting the battery loose were the hardest parts. Gotta be so careful not to puncture the battery or you will get a major fire and it doesn't take long, it happened the first time I tried this. This time, smooth as glass. Thanks
I'm about to replace my screen for this model tomorrow, any tips to remove the battery so there are no issues? I don't have a way to heat it. But I already removed the back cover plate.
Thank you for the video. Now I have to locate a reliable replacement battery! Actually, you might want to mention the type of screwdriver needed. Sometimes it's just a tiny phillips, sometimes it's a torx...
Thanks for the video. I just finished putting a new battery in using your guide, unfortunately it was an off brand battery that could be a problem. It powered right up, it's charging right now. At least it's better than before where it puffed up so much that the back cover was coming off.
I believe i replaced the battery successfully ( connecting the little battery connector to the motherboard was the hardest part for me ) as of right now itl vibrate when i connect it to a charger but it will NOT turn on. Did i do something wrong ? Can it vibrate with a bad connection or battery still when you plug it in ?
@garretth519 have you figured anything out?? I replaced my battery and am having the same issue. I’ve forced reset and checked connections. If you got yours to work please lmk what you did!
Followed the video and all went well as described but now I have the black screen of death, the phone is clearly on as I get calls and the charge noise when I plug in but can't figure how to get out of the black screen any suggestions ?? Did I unplug something inadvertently??
@@DIYGeardoI have the same problem I'm confused new battery in but black screen if definitely. It vibrates when plugged in and I can shake the phone to turn the flash light on
@@athena.t1 I have a same problem, phone did not boot up and charging , I'm trying force reboot, recovery , ect.... with no luck. Motorola logo pop up then off and black screen from here Re-open the phone double check and found lose or misalignment battery cable connection, reconnect and turn on power....battery icon start charging and motorola logo boot up and the phone back to work again. Done!!! hope this help
@@DIYGeardo I’ve done everything as shown in the video. I even checked every connection. Everything is connected as should be. It still will not turn on. I either get a black screen, or a dark blue blank screen. I have tried force resetting multiple time, a light at the top of my phone will blink but then nothing else will happen. I can still sometimes get the charge vibration and the flashlight to work by flicking it. Other than that, it’s not working. Any way I can fix this?

Another guide mentioned Phillips #00
Its a T4 torx. Use T5 if slightly stripped.

Thank you for your help with this
No problem!
I miss phones with swappable batteries. Was so much easier. Shouldn't have to do surgery to change a battery.

Can you see anything on the screen?

What type of adhesive did you use,
B7000 / t7000
Bough the exact battery
Followed the instructions perfectly
Used the same exact tools
Battery combusted and fried my phone
Thanks a lot
IS it a good battery?
Should you remove the SD Card and holder First ?
New battery any better? G power was supposed to have a big battery, but mine drains just as fast as my old phone. Not impressed with it so far.
You should buy the Genuine battery. That may fix the issue.
My batteries in my two g power phones last 3 days of normal use or 6 hrs of streaming video.
6 hrs video with what screen brightness ? @@thepubliceye
Thanks!
