I use potato bags alot. I use homemade ones but imagine they are the same. I poke holes with a fork and microwave 4-6 mins depending on size of potatoe. I make regular potatoes and sweet potatoes in them! You can also poke holes in potatoes and wrap in wet paper towels and microwave for about 4-6 minutes.
i legit just take a potato poke some holes in it and pop it in the microwave for like 8 minutes and its great i just put it on a plate with a napkin over it.

Yes I came here to point out the same thing! Open the microwave door and one of those stickers will tell you the wattage. Microwave wattage is a set thing depending on the unit you buy and will often be 700, 900 or 1100. (Not adjustable like the power level...is what I mean.) IF your microwave has a higher wattage than what your food says just take care. If anything it will just overcook your food and maybe overcook it faster. The stickers inside the microwave doors often have a bunch of other good info like cooking instructions for different foods or just details on thawing or other "tricky" microwave things. I, too, went several years without microwaving anything and you do tend to lose the feel for it. For a while I just cooked popcorn and hot water for tea with mine! Have branched out some but still am more of a toaster oven person. Those potato bags have a happy medium but idk how to get there. Ppl review and hate them then for some it clicks, works, and hate turns to love! But idk what the difference is to make it functional. But I think a baked baked potato has a nice texture so mine will go in the oven...or a toaster oven. But sometimes I start or finish a potato in the nukerwave.

For pasta, I use my electric kettle to heat up the water faster and then pour the water into the pot (boils in a few mins at this point) and cook my noodles. For grilled cheese, if I'm lazy and don't want too many dishes, I will toast bread in the toaster, make the sandwich and finish in the microwave to melt the cheese. Gives a similar effect to the frying pan. For oven/casserole type dishes, I use my frying pan which has a kinda deep lip and do a "one pan" recipe. Cover with tin foil, cook on low and it's similar to an oven. BUT, no other way of making a grilled cheese really compares to the pan. Use mayo on the bottom to sizzle...oh mama. Cool vid! Loved it! :)

At my friends birthday party we played hot potato with a REAL hot potato. We threw it in the microwave until it was steaming hot and started playing and we started taking bites out of it. It still wasn’t cooked and we threw it in for like... 20-30 minutes. At some point it started sparking and when we started biting it, it was crunchy on the outside but still raw inside. Potatoes and microwaves don’t mix.

We have that baked potato express gadget! It takes about 7 minutes for a larger russet potato(4 minutes the first time, and 3 minutes just after that). They turn out perfect every time! We love ours!

On my microwave, there's a sticker on the inside along the edge that says how many watts it is and other information.
