I loved the “discipline & honor” rant about following rules. We can love our country while acknowledging that we can absolutely do so much better.
However, that rant was then immediately voided by not following rules and filming in a store that prohibits filming 🤣🤣🤣
True but I did that for YOU!!!!
Damn! I thought the same thing 😆
@@malfuncsean I know, brother, and I sincerely appreciate you and the channel, but the timing was hilarious so just had to give you some sh**.
I never even thought about that 😂😂
At this point, manifesting "discipline & honor" is outright cultural appropriation...
These Japanese “vlogs” have been incredible! Thank you for sharing your trip with us
I absolutely love that you know “Breaking Glass”. You rock!
Osaka was a haven for the Classic Rock acts back in the day ... Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath so many others. They know good music as I'm sure you know Sean 🤘🏼
"Is That You" was my favorite song on the Kiss Unmasked album. Did not realize that Kiss didn't write the song.
Thanks for the trivia tidbit, Sean.
Rants about American not sticking to rules...proceeds to record in the Godzilla store 😂😂😂
Exactly 😂
But I did that for YOU.
Epic 😂
@@malfuncsean oh I see ... not all heroes wear capes 🫡🤣
@@JustinChampa just seen that we made the same comment 🤣
Thanks for the videos of your trip to Osaka!
37:40// That's Monster in the Closet.
I actually created the video of the Orca floating during sunset for the new JAWS pinball machine. Was stoked to see that it made the final version!
What year was that
@@eklypised This year. The original video is on my channel. I had to re-render it from different angles for final version.
Channels pretty cool man keep up the good work
@@evankrotzer2892 Thanks bro!
Hey man, love your work! Very cool 😊
Thanks for Coming out to Mad Monster This year! You were cool to meet dude! Thanks again and hope to see you next year!
Looking forward to watch this one, thanks Sean
Fantastic Sean. Thank you for sharing this tour of Japan stores. Awesome stuff.
Thanks so much for filming this stuff, dude 🤘
Glad you had a great trip. Japan must've been fun.
Awesome video Sean, that place seem pretty awesome! The sights are really incredible with the way they advertise. Thanks man 🤘🏻
Holy motion sickness lol. I felt like I was on a merry go round in that store. Loved all the rad 80s metal tour books. I still have a bunch of mine
I live in Osaka, so it's really weird to see my 'home' on your channel! Ha-ha!
I always go to that KINJI and pin-ball arcade in Big Step!
Thank you Sean for bringing us along. You're a great tour guide!! Safe travels bud.🤙🏻🤘
Nice to see a mall anywhere that still looks vibrant.
come to Canada, we love our indoor shopping.....especially when winter hits
Southern California still had many malls too
Thanks Sean for all your hard work. Thanks 😊
Awesome episode. Thanks for taking us on tour
My two favorite things GODZILLA AND SEAN CLARK CONTENT 🤘🏻🎃🤘🏻
Wow! Thanks for sharing!
Your peripheral vision is that of a NFL All Pro Running Back to spot horror related content while you are filming...
Great pinball machines arcade. Nice tour, thanks!
Thanks for sharing your visit to Japan Sean.
TOTALLY AWESOME! 👍🏻😎
Awesome video, Sean!
The city looks really clean and tidy as well. Thanks for sharing your experiences with us all. Really enjoyed it.
Man it looks like Japan can be confusing as hell. Man that pinball arcade was Epic!! Really cool video. I bet having to attend to the convention over the weekend was tiring as hell. I don't know how you do it . Thanks for all you and your company does for us fans
Another thing that has struck me is just look how CLEAN and tidy Osaka is ! Not seen one bit of graffitti or anything. Looks really nice.
There is definitely graffiti in Osaka. It's one of the more edgy areas of Tokyo.
Awesome vid Sean! Hope to see more of these in the future 🤘
I really enjoyed the Vlog type vids to be honest. really loved the vintage toy store the most!
Sean you crack me up 🤣 you're whole rant before going into the mall/store about how Americans have lost their way, don't follow rules and how it's refreshing to be in a country that follows rules with honor - then a moment later you are complaining about their no-filming rule at the Godzilla store as you wander in breaking it 😂 Loved the Pinball arcade! You look shattered dude, glad you managed to get a bit of wandering/shopping in between the con! Keep up the great content dude, you're one of my favorite and most underrated creators!
But I broke the rules for YOU. The people.
Yeah, Sean is like a present day Rosa Parks.
Preach!
I've really loved watching this video definitely I would like to see you do video's like this nice one thanks for this Sean 👍
I’m so glad you’re posting these videos. I’m going to Japan in a couple months so I’m taking notessss
That malls elevators in the beginning reminded me of the movie high anxiety
Awesome video Sean and That Pinball arcade was amazing and love the time bomb records you pick up
LOVE the pinball arcade!
Cool shots !!!!
Sean I love the casual “just dropped Norman at the train station” I would of had a whole video just for that! 😂 Japan looks so amazing thanks for the tour xx
Sean, word of advice for you (if you don't know about it already.) If any of your vinyl records are protected in PVC sleeves...TAKE THEM OUT ASAP. I myself, only found out, that, in certain temperatures, the PVC in the sleeve can react with your covers and cause a whole heap of trouble. So, if any of your collection are protected like that, I would strongly recommend you take them out, or replace with any non PVC sleeve. There are videos on TH-cam about this. Have a great, and profitable time in Japan. Stay safe, and have a safe journey home. BTW, that Pinball Place looks MINT ! Peace.
This video certified RAD.
Cool video. Love the culture discussion and the unique shopping experience.
Monster In the Closet 💯
Yas!! Stryper!!! Def some good finds in that record store!!!!!
Wow. The Japanese go full on in everything they do. This is awesome!
Awesome episode
I truly enjoyed these videos of Japan.
Sean, your video of the stores that you went to in Osaka is The Lost Ark of memorabilia for Horror, music and movie collectors. Those models of Godzilla are very cool. I enjoy the movies and history of Gojira so much I bought the entire Showa-Era on Blu-ray. I also received my Horror’s Hallowed Grounds shirts today. Thanks again.
Wow pinball in japan, never seen that before.
Thanks for the video! Did they have Elvira Scared Stiff at the Pinball arcade? That’s my all time fave.
The Awesomeness that Is Continues! 👊😎✊😎👍😎👌🍁
The pinball arcade was Sick!
Brilliant. Nice to see another future. Zilla & pinballs were ace 👌
If your ever in the UK Sean observe how the British queue for everything, we pride ourselves on a good queue culture. 👍
I’ve always wanted to go to Japan. Thanks for taking me along 😜
Like walking around with the type of friend I never had...thanks for the video Sean.
Sweet video!
Very cool video! Thanks for letting us see into the Japanese culture!
Plenty of cool places to shop!
Great video....Monster In The Closet was the cover that was covered up in the case
Superb video Sean !! Some nice pick ups there ! I still have that Ozzy tour book from back in the 80’s ! You got a hell of a good deal on those books !! 🤘🎃🤘
Great video. It's nice to see that it's not just work work work for you while you're there.
Been nice to seen some footage of you going back to the pinball arcade and playing some of the machines.
Sadly I didn’t make it back.
All those stops looked awesome to check out. The one vintage toy store had a few of those Sideshow the Dead Figures and even the Sideshow Big Head Munsters which I would have instantly bought.
great video. japan is on my bucket list.
You right about us out here in the US that bike definitely would have been stolen and people would definitely would have been jaywalking 😂
It was good to hang out with you, Sean. I live alone, you're my friend. Thank you for the vlog type video
I need that Luscious Jackson record. Looks like you had a good time! I am jealous of all of the food you get to try there.
I would love to go to Japan - always been fascinated by this country
Thank you I leave for Japan this upcoming Saturday and while I’m there at the end of my first week I’m going to head down to Osaka
Speaking as a toy nerd, it's funny how much shelf space was devoted to American action figures you can easily get here at home. We must be close to the same age, Sean, because I was watching along and geeking out over the same stuff you were, and saying "where's the Shogun Warriors?!" The one thing in this video you "breezed past" that I would have jumped at, and bought, was that very 1940s style Mummy figure at: 37:45
Ozzy tour book was sick .Good grab on that one.I know you will have him sign that for sure.
Sean Clark Toy Hunt Vid- I’m in.
“He’s a Pinball Wizard…has to be a twist…that Pinball Wizard has such a supple wrist!” Great video Sean of you in Japan! I agree that a majority of us Americans can learn a great deal from Japanese culture…honor, integrity, cleanliness, dignity, discipline, respectfulness & not stealing property! Very impressive that they just leave their bikes unlocked! Try doing that in CA or NY!
The thing you translated in the display case at the vintage toy store was from the 1987 movie Monster in the Closet
Thank u Sean for taking us shopping in Japan.Great record collection and love Pinball machines. 😊It nice to know they don't litter and follow the rules.lol
Everything in this video is why l love Japan, it's people, and their culture.
I would lose my mind in that pinball arcade!
woww the jackets in Godzilla store
are so nice
Super cool, awesome scores. Dream vacation for me. I want all Japanese Batman goodies
It's like your talking Japanese to. Lol Thanx for this one. Hail
Sean, would you ever consider doing a Horros Hallowed Grounds of all the locations Godzilla stomped through in the original 1954 movie?
I wish they had places like this in the states
We used to. Thank Amazon and lazy people
Did you say...Batman pinball?
I like how you respect the people waiting at the lights and the queueing up and call Americans entitled then film in a shop where you know it says no filming 😂😂😂
::guy stopped at crosswalk::
Clark: "Dew it." 😅
I enjoyed these Japanese videos, Sean. It would be cool if you did these for your overseas trips. Thanks, sgain.👍
Every time I visit Osaka I never have enough time to do any proper toy hunting. Surprisingly the original Godzilla Store in Shinjuku is half the size of the one there in Osaka. Cheers from Tokyo!!
Sean, awesome that you like Mazinger Z! I need one of those full sized figures!
Sean, did you end up going back to that pinball arcade to play any of the machines?
Unfortunately no.
What a find though, huh?
Just up some stairs and voila… pinball heaven!
Thought for sure you’d know of the Maverick pin. About 8 years ago, I drove up to test play mine in your neck of the woods at Aliso Viejo and Lake Forest ice rinks.
Needed a movie western theme, with ramps and multi-ball machine for my bar/pool table room. Fun and challenging and it fits the motif perfectly.
Man, The Silver Ball Planet is one of the biggest pinball places in the world with 124 pins, (and you just happen upon it). You can get your fix more locally though in Anaheim , at Captain’s Arcade Showroom. 74 of em there.
Also, Halloween has 3 editions, Blood Sucker, Collectors or Standard.
@@TheWallygatorca I was just at the Pinba;; Hall of Fame in Las Vegas this weekend and it don't get much better than that.
@@malfuncsean haha you got your fix then. That one IS the biggest public collection in the world!
(they don’t got my Maverick there though)
That "Eighth Day" performance in Breaking Glass -Tron before Tron! (That had to be an inspiration, right?) Excellent double feature: Breaking Glass/Dogs In Space...I once chatted with the guy who played the coach in Kenny & Company (as well as the caretaker in Phantasm) in holding while doing background work, circa 2008. He was rather surprised and flattered that I even knew who he was and had seen the movie multiple times. Love Kenny & Company. "Sherman!" Fun video!
I once asked the director of TRON about that and he claims he had never seen Breaking Glass before. Well who ever came up with the costume designs absolutely did.
@@malfuncsean I'm glad somebody tried to get to this bottom of this! Yeah, it's far too similar to be a coincidence.
Love this video the Godzilla store woah 😳
Hello from Sweden Sean Clark👋, it was nice to follow you in Japan, and wow it was lots of cool stuff as we don't have in Sweden, it was lots of stuff as I was interested in, and if I was there i would shop like crazy Anyway thanks Shean for showing around in Japan, you are cool and a nice person , hug from Sweden 🤗💞💞
Dam id love to go check that mall out
Nice video. the close button made me laugh. next time I wanna see u play the machines please. I am wondering how the sound is from many of them
I have never watched tron so I bought it the other day I'm a instant fan all because of you thanks sean
1.) that Halloween pinball i believe had 3-4 different versions, so what you are looking at is probably one of the "cheaper" models of those 3-4 they made.
2.) i 100% agree that we need to be just like them as far as discipline goes. our country is just so awful compared to over there.
3.) that toy store was dope! lots of transformers and gundam stuff!!!!
4.) "dumb american" hahaha!
Thank you again for sharing this awesome video, Sean! I really appreciated looking at this stuff from a place i probably will never get to see. Cheers man!
The Toys R Us you went to gave me a Sears vibe. 🖖💜👌
Interesting video Love exploring different things about Japan. Love the Godzilla jackets the designs are so cool! Never seen a Godzilla Movie to be honest. As far as I know about video filming in stores reasons why it's not allowed anymore not one specific problem but a couple.
Breaking glass had a load of actors from Scum and Quadrophenia in it, love breaking glass from 1980 i still have the cassette and album and the DVD. Sadly haven't never seen a blu ray yet of it and i never knew Cheryl Ladd had any albums out. I learnt something from you today mate lol great video. p.s met Phil Daniels loads of times in London. he did an album back in 1979 called Phil Daniels and the cross which i have and a single called kill another night.
I’m not familiar with Scum. I also own that Phil Daniels and the Cross album. I had him sign it years ago. The band’s guitarist played the drummer in Breaking Glass too.
That's right peter Hugo daly
@@malfuncsean Early Ray Winstone performance in Scum. Check it out.
Russler said he's going to make the world's largest pinball machine just so he can use your severed head as the ball.
