- The first of our The Old World videos is FINALLY here and it's the Tomb Prince. AND We're doing something different with the bases. We are in fact using some materials from @GeekGamingScenics to get a more classic feel for these more classic feeling miniatures!
As always a HUGE thankyou to Games Workshop for sending me the Tomb Kings army set early to build up and paint for all of you it has been a real treat so far but also very eye opening and whilst usually there would be a review first. That's going to come last as it's a little different than usual!

Oh my God, he glued in the cape and the shield. What an absolute madman.
He’s clearly a masochist.
Why
@@VicodinElmo I don't understand what the issue is..
Quick tips for using the Geek Gaming Scenics base-ready materials.
1) Apply a quick layer of colour to the base before you start basing to stop the bright primer from showing through. Natural earthy colours work well for this, something slightly darker than the material you're basing with.
2) Don't tap too much off, they can look a bit bare or patchy if you shake all the good stuff off.
3) Use tufts to fill any bare spots, I especially like the Gamers Grass mini tufts for this.
4) You can use washes on the base to add colour or shadow if needed.
5) Leave it to dry for an hour or so, then use a pipette and some heavily watered-down PVA, drip it on and let it dry thoroughly to help seal everything down. This really helps with the ones that use foam flock in the mix.
Really appreciate the info. Thanks!!
Hey man, I’m a huge blood angels fan and I must say that 1:1 ratio for blood angels red and contrast medium is by far my favorite thing I’ve learned from watching your videos! It helped me get my eradicators looking like actual blood angels models! I haven’t tried your gold recipe yet, but I’m going to very soon!
Top tip for Geek Gaming bases: After you’ve dipped the base into your mixture, leave it in there for at least 30 minutes to allow the glue to partially cure. That way, you lose less of the larger stones when you tap the base. Once completely dry, seal it with some matt spray varnish or similar. You can use watered down PVA, but it dries slightly glossy.
Ordered some geek stuff on the back of that! Cracking effort on the tomb king.
Thank you for the info.
I will deffo be using this for my model! Only thing I will probably so differently is the akin. What would you use for a more classic dry skin? Love the videos as always
Love to see you doing TOW!
Looks great and the base really works!!
May have to use this for painting my tomb kings
You have impressed Settra with this masterpiece well done and keep up the good work👏
Give us Lich priest on Necrolith Dragon next pleassse!
Woohoo! I was eagerly awaiting these to come out.
Cool as always🖌
Awesome job as always!! I am looking forward to seeing what you do for the Bretonnians, if you end up doing a few different options for heraldry that would be super awesome. But obviously dont make more work for youself if you dont want to :D
Please do an necrosphinx would love to see you do that awesome mini
Love your content!!
Killing it.
Ho god it's happening 🎉
Smashed it buddy!
Wow. An out of the pot tutorial!!!
How much water do you use to thin your paints?
do you have to wet the brush with contrast too?
If you do the necrosphinx I would be eternally grateful.
All Old World! all the time please!
The square base 🤤🤤🤤
First here!! Been waiting for this
Weird how there is no bone colors in this model. Considering It is skeleton army
Generally in the lore the lords (princes, kings, liche priests etc) were mummified, and as such wouldn’t be skeletal, but would have a decayed, fleshy composition. The soldiers and others wouldn’t have had the same degree of preservation put into their bodies hence why the rest of the army are skeletons (or statues but they’re not the focus here)
Have you by any chanced considered doing some of the more "simple" tutorials?
