There are a ton of forts in the Indian subcontinent. So as long as you can get past being an OPM, just conquering all of India is the best way to get the achievement.
@@monx94 If I recall correctly from my recent Vijayanagar>Bharat game, then yes. Even if there aren't quite that many, you can definitely easily afford to build up to 52 by the time you own all of India.
Gelre, despite being a dutch nation, has their capital in Geldern (in modern Germany) irl. so as Gelre, form the Netherlands, then culture shift to Rhenish or Westphalian to form Westphalia (iirc the netherlands wasnt an end-game tag, if it is, form westphalia first then form netherlands)
This was seriously tough. Garwahl starts with one of the worst provinces in the game. The fact that you managed to expand at all was seriously impressive, even if you ultimately failed your goal. Maybe this is a challenge for Laith/TheSocialStreamers as he had better luck as Beloozero than you got. As for Gelre, make them El Rey of Spain.
In the province of Gelre, there is a nice little town called Berg en Dal. So, as an ode to that town, conquer the neighboring province of Berg, and the province of Dal in Norway.
For anyone attempting this achievement, I highly recommend opening with Innovative then picking up Defensive and Infrastructure plus the government reform for castle rights. Altogether this should reduce cost of forts down by 80%.
Honestly? This is why I don't like playing in India. It feels like the three to four nations always out pace you in terms of expansion or alliance networks so you run out of areas to expand so quickly it hurts
India is the most easiest location to play in eu4.Agressive expansion is pretty much non existant due to different religions and cultures. And the war in india so common .There is a delicate balance which you can easily flip.
Gelre has gel in it, but the term "gel" was coined in Scotland. So as Gelre, claim your origin by conquering Scotland. But given that gel doesn't get coined until the 19th century, you're a few centuries too early to cash in on this and may go bankrupt.
Out of curiosity, why didn't you attack Delhi during its war with Sirhind? You could then vassalize for a defensive war and a bunch of potential cores.
For Gelre: After that many episodes in A to Z, the standard HRE game or forming the Netherlands again (especially with the best nation to do that coming up) is getting repetitive. Do what nobody else has ever done ever in the history of the game before: Fully decentralize the HRE. And people, if you try to comment that you've done it or seen a video of somebody doing it or your third cousin has thought about doing it or that it is a legitimate strat or that you've even done it using cheats: Liar, well, I believe the last one, so cheater ;). So please keep those fantasies to yourself
... Doesn't Red Hawk like to keep the A to Z videos relatively short (in game-time/in-game timeframe)? Pretty sure fully decentralizing the HRE will take too long for an A to Z video.
@@maelos61 Not really if you get a solid power base and destroy the reformation you can finish before absolutism. I revoked privelege as austria in 1580

This region is so hard. I played a game as Ladakh and while I was always able to /survive/ I was never able to reach a level where I wasn't constantly under threat from Delhi, Timmy, or Bengal. I was only able to conquer pretty much the exact same regions that you were able to (plus a small chunk of jaunpur at one point, though it got taken by Timmy later)
To be fair i made this achievement pretty easy, but was a run only ment to do the achievement. I conquer all of the nepali, tibetan and assamese minors. Became tributary of Ming. I think that's one of those achievements i'll never get. Seems painful. You almost got on the right track. If you could have declared on Bengal again after breaking their alliance, i think that would have been the turning point.
Let's see... since Gelre is the modern name for Guelders which looks kind of like the word guilders, how about owning all gold-producing provinces in Europe while being a merchant republic? I mean, sure, you'll have to fight Austria, Bohemia, Castille, Hungary, and technically-Serbia-but-probably-the-Ottamans, but that's part of the fun, right?
I wonder if it would've been an option to use the Bengal alliance to break his alliance with Delhi and declare in a moment of weakness. Though to state the obvious: you don't have to go into India. If India's a no, Persia, China or SouthEast Asia might be options to get the economic base. or if you can reach the sea: indonesia.
I’m not sure how you completely reversed England and France but weren’t able to do this tbh. China even broke apart for you so the expansion opportunities were plentiful.
