This will seem a little strange to you but I'm a recently retired woman that has been hooked on watching metal (detectorists) on you tube! I love the excitement on a new find! I enjoy the photography of what is found in the ground and water! I try to subscribe to those with great photography, researched material and great adventures! Of course it does help to watch people like you who truly enjoy what they do! Like you! Thank-you from a woman in New York!
New York is a great state to detect in. Nice old New England state. You should try to find out where you can go and get a detector. My first one a Tesoro Compadre was good one to just try out the hobby and very cheap $160 new even cheaper used. I also am a retired lady so can't go out too much but love it when I do. Best wishes!
There is nothing better in life than loading the boat, exploring the river, and camping for the night. The gentle sounds of the riverside will lull even the most severe insomniac into a restful slumber. You're a lucky man, Chigg! Good luck on your future adventures, and holler at me if you're ever in central VA!
Wow! We use to go camping in Kentucky when I was young &stay on a branch of Kentucky River for a week or so! Mostly it was for grown ups to fish etc. Only way to get clean was jump in the water that surrounded the area where we set up camp! This was in the 60's! When you do these Creek searches remind me of a good time! Thanks stay safe keep educating us during each one! "Hold your breath!"
to look at the river bottom without having to use a facemask: cut out the bottom of the 5 gal bucket, and glue a clear acrylic in its place. You end up with a utility bucket that is a sort of a river scope.
These River videos are my very Favorite. As always I love all the commentary, and I most usually learn something. What a Great place to spend the night too. That's an ideal day for me, up and down the river, Detecting, and then camping... I'm Envious. Awesome Video, looking forward to part II.... Thanks!!!!!!!!!
Did this a week ago, camped 3 days on a river at an old 100+ year dump site. Found two Barber dimes and a 1923 Mercury dime, a 1902 Indian head penny, and a dozen wheat cents. Old padlocks too. The coolest find a 1 gallon stoneware jug buried 2/3 in the river bed. So nice to have 3 days off to camp and look for stuff.
Well, that view of the box turtle was enough of a find to make me happy! Good find! I wish you relics, but at least you got (good view of) that turtle!
Chiggs worried about that worm🐛 on his arm but a funky spider ant 🐜 at 25:00 decides to weave a web on his chin whiskers lol...Happy trails 🚐 chiggmeister & watch out for them biting river rats.. 🐀
Good to see you out on the river Beau. I don't believe I've seen a camp out vid before. I wonder if those prospectors knew they were talking to the King of TH-cam!
Sir, love these videos. I am disabled with R.S.D.S. so when inside I dig (no pun) watching your adventures. Gives me hope maybe I can do same. Happy Hunting.
Chigg. That happens a lot to me where I'm getting a good signal but can't find the item im just digging and digging and digging making the hole deeper making the hole wider and you just don't find it what the hell is that? happens a lot
Another awesome vlog! I was wondering if your wife teases you about being internet famous? Can't wait for part two, you're pretty brave staying there all alone! All the best and safe travels!
8:15 and that Military Style Shovel (like you had said) has been in that creek for a while now, and the Development of 'Metal-Detectors' have improved since that Spade was thrown in that creek, so they left a lot of good things because One, they could not go as deep with their Detectors as you can with yours, and Two they could not identify objects with the accuracy that you have.
Hey Friend,I just want to let you know incase nobody tells you That you are the funnest one you -tube.I have said it before but there are so many I dont know if you ever get my message. You not only talk about Metal detecting but you give little lessons about things you see.I love that.Nobody does that.I have learned so much from you I didnt do good in school but if you were my teacher I would have done better.I tell my wife its time for my show. She knows I am talking about you...THANK YOU for helping me with something I can get interested in. I am a type 2 DIABETIC.Things are not so good sometimes. You have giving me a interest in life I needed.. Gary :)
Hey chig, Does the AT Max have a volume control on the unit when the headphones are not plugged in or is it as loud as the AT Gold? That is the one compliant I have with my AT Gold!!!! Wish they would come up with a fix for that!!!! Great video as always!
if you are ever in North Ga, I can show you where and old furnace is on a river. Its rumored they made cannon balls there during the war. You can only get there by boat/atv
All that beautiful gold bearing gravel, arrowheads, Civil War relics, interesting information about beavers, giardia, man made dams, turtles, papas, hornets and frogs, you are one entertaining man, Beau. Murder mysteries, Sasquatch and caves, too. Hold your breath! Until the next time..... Home again, home again, giggity-gig!😉😊
I don't hear many people speak about haints!! Are you in a southern creek (one of the stories behind southern homes' porch ceilings being painted a certain shade of blue, now called "haint blue" in some parts)? Or are haints all about?
I had the unfortunate case of giardia from a restaurant, about 16 years back. In other words, someone cooking didn't wash their hands after a trip to the bathroom. Oh, joy.

I've heard of this before with arrowhead hunters
Chigger did a video and made some viewers with I think 3" PVC pipe and much bigger one maybe 10-12".
In Canada that beaver water thing is commonly called "Beaver Fever", as funny as that sounds lol
These kind of videos are by far my favorites!! I love these adventures!!
Your videos never get old

Camping on Toad Hill, what a thrill. Aquachigger with a digger, in the streams. Pleasant dreams!
Well, that view of the box turtle was enough of a find to make me happy! Good find! I wish you relics, but at least you got (good view of) that turtle!
Aquachigger is the only person in the world that can pull a rusty piece of pipe out of a creek bed and keep me captivated by it lol
Cool video, that gold miner narrowed your search area. Get some rest, hit it and get it in the morning. Thanks for sharing.
Chiggs worried about that worm🐛 on his arm but a funky spider ant 🐜 at 25:00 decides to weave a web on his chin whiskers lol...Happy trails 🚐 chiggmeister & watch out for them biting river rats.. 🐀
I don't know why, but I feel a camping/detecting show with you and Survivorman would be absolutely amazing.

Hi Chig! Do Paw Paw trees grow in places other than WV? Most people aren't familiar with them. Not trying to sound ignorant, just curious.
Melissa Hall West Michigan has them, there's even a town named Pawpaw. I live in Southern Indiana, near Louisville, KY, never see them here anymore.
Melissa Hall, we have a bunch in central Kentucky, especially along the Kentucky River.
Thanks for the video Chigg, looking forward to part two. Beautiful turtle man
