With the warm weather that we have been having lately, the farm has begun to explode! Thousands of daffodils are blooming and the tulips are only days away from harvest. The perennials are beginning to wake up. And it won't be long before the farmstand is open for sales again. Join me for a tour of the farm in April.

Finally...i been waiting for this video....spring...yes!
You know summer is coming when your videos start popping up again!
This was one of my favorite of your posts. First, I loved the tour. But also, it was organized and concise, but still friendly. I am always cheering for you and Ian as farming seems like such a gamble…but you guys are doing it!! 🎉
You were missed by so many. but glad you took a well earned winter break after 5 years of farming. Your videos are exceptional. Excited to see what this season brings.
Looking forward to following your journey this season and seeing all those glorious blooms. 🙂🙏🏼🌸🌼🌺💐🌷
That is so exciting. Best of luck this year and I'm sure I speak for all of us that we will be thrilled with your updates. Cheers from 🍁Ottawa🍁
Yay, all the flowers are on the way! Loving the red foliage on some of the peonies, and can't want to see them all in bloom.
How exciting! Looking forward to seeing all the flowers!!! 🌸🌼🌻🌷🥀💐🌹🌸🌷
To stagger your crate glads, keep some in garage. Watering is what stimulates growth. I planted out my first 200 today. :)
Good idea.
Coral Sunset PEONIES are so lovely!!
Yes, the BC weather has been bizarre, up, down, foggy, clear and warm, the back to freezing then a big dump of snow, and rainy days. Mother nature is having tantrums.
I didn't realize a few of the flowers are perennials, so now I have a stronger incentive to plant mine out.
Take care you two, fire season has already started in some areas. 😲
Ýay nice to see you back! The farm looks great. I can't wait to see your peonies!!!
❤❤❤❤❤So glad to see you.❤❤❤❤❤❤
OMG it's officially spring now 🥳🎉
Yaay🎉!!! Rooting for you this growing season. Love the update
Serina and Ian so nice to watch your latest vlog, I started watching your channel in lock down and you still bring joy and 🌿 knowledge that brightens any day. Good luck with everything this Spring 🌱🌷
Glad your videos are back
Missed your energy❤
Serena, I was already missing wstching your videos. This morning, I wished I could ask when can we expect to hear from you. When I saw this video, I jumped for you. Go to see and hear from you. I am on the other side of the globe in Pretoria, South Africa. Looking fotward to more videos. I guessed you were busy preparing for spring.
I'm zone 6A. My first tulips bloomed TODAY!! 🎉
It’s so good to see you I the garden. I’m looking forward to those buckets and buckets of flowers!! Good luck!
I am so excited for you. Can't wait to see all of these flowers!!! Take care of yourselves, get rest...Continued Blessings!!!
In autumn in Australia and it's so lovely to see your spring flowers and seedlings, such a great time of year to look forward to😊
Grow Grow Grow❤ Big Love from Northern California ❤❤❤❤
Yay!!! Another video!
😭 I am glad you guys are back. Hope everything is well.
Yay! Love the Peonies. Favoutire flower of mine.
My family does grow glads also and they do not overwinter either.
We just dig them up during the autumn, cut the stalks and take the small seeds for the "kindergarten" (they grow, they are just not as big the first year) off of the main bulb and store them in a dry and dark place. And then you just plant them as usual in the spring. It is not as much of a job, especially since you grow them in crates.
THANKS FOR SHARING ❤GOD BLESS YOU!
Yay! YCETG is back!
Thank you for the tour 😊
Have a great season!
So enjoyed this video- great to see you and hear the farm updates!
You’re back!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
So good to see you Serena! It's finally time to grow again 😁
Weeee its spring! Well, we are getting ready for summer down here in central Cali. It's supposed to be in the low 80s all week. I planted ranunculus late. Costco had them for sale in February and I just couldn't walk away empty handed. Oh well... maybe they will multiply and I will have more to plant again in the fall!! Fingers crossed! 😅😅 I've missed you guys. I've been binging all your old videos. ❤ cheers to a great start of the 2024 season!!! 🎉🎉
Here in So Cal it's garden tour season. My wildflower garden is peaking. Poppies, cosmos, gaillardia, scarlet flax, larkspur, and more.
@laxnative4622 I've got lots blooming here too! Calendula, cerinth, helipterum, bachelors buttons, cosmos...the yarrow and statice are starting too! 🥰 yay!
So glad you put up a new video! I was thinking about you this morning and wondering what was happening up there.
Looking Good!
Yay ❤😊 We already have blooms on our farm in Zone 8! We plant in the Fall to get Early Spring Blooms!
Beautiful! Can’t wait.
Thank you for sharing.🌸
Hi!
Excited to see the farm waking up.
Could you try staggering the glads? Bring them out slowly for the garage and see how they do.
Wonderful video! We are having early growth for our garden, too.
I am so happy see you flowers growing nice I can wait to see the blooming peonies that's my favorite flowers take care.
Wishing you a successful season!
oh my that is a ton of lizzies... headlamp harvesting -- or extra helpers in clipping to get into buckets... well done girl!!
Always enjoy your flower garden videos! A neighbor just brought me a few Peony roots and I'm so excited to see them grow!
Try selling the daffodils as bunches to local markets.. I remember seeing them all the time in Trader Joe’s when I was living in the USA they are so pretty alone
You must have heard me snooping around your channel for a spring update video yesterday. And then here you 😊
It's very neat with the ranunculus cause I am a zone 4, and mine have over winter as well. Forgot a few in the ground, and they are already sprouting. The farm is looking great.
I always buy my plants at kel lake nursery but this year I am very disappointed with the prices gone up dramatically.l love your selection of flowers.the 1st day of kelowna farmer’s market you were not there.
❤ great to see you ❤
We are 2 to 3 weeks early here in Houston Tx. also. Good luck hope it's a very successful year.😊
Yay new video!!!
It would be a good idea to add potted flowers and hanging baskets to your inventory even a tilip potted arangement to your inventory
Yay ☀️ 🌸 🌹💐
Feverfew was never a perennial for me in Zone 5b Easter Colorado or Zone 6a NW KS. It was a biennial for us - leaves the first year, blooms the send year, and the mother plant died at that point, but as long as I let some go to seed, I always had some.
Where’s Ian!? Miss his commentary in the videos 😂 happy spring! Nice to see you 😊
He was behind the camera I imagine.
@@plaisirdelanglais And haven't made a peep during the whole video? He usually makes comments when he is behind the camera.
Wows how exciting ❤Do you grow many grasses …Im obsessed with Sarah raven ..many unique ❤flowers are her specialty in the uk …
Everything is looking so good! The Peony field is going to be amazing. Just planted out my lisianthus for the final year; I've decided not to deal with the hassle of growing them from seed anymore. Just a home gardener, so would be nice to see plugs/pots of them available at local farms and nurseries. Side note, I absolutely love your content, but get so bummed out when I want to watch your live feed and don't have the time, as they tend to run over an hour. Shorter Live feeds would be awesome, and you would probably get more views after the live feed airs (that's a good thing!). BTW, nice to see you back!
Why not place shade cloth above tulips to slow them down?
Like to watch you. Learn from you a lot. If you would add little picture in corner when you talking about specific flower, it will help me visualy :)
Could you have a succession of glad by delaying bringing some of the crates out?
I’ve lived in my home for 30 years and the peonies that came with just get bigger and better every year and I don’t do a thing for them. The plans I care for usually die.
4:38 are those planted directly into the ground? Or are they in trays? How do you walk up and down to access them? Sorry if that’s a silly question.
💚
❤❤❤❤❤
Expecting
Try garlic infused water on the diseased plants.
❤
What brand of grow lights do you use?
Where do you source your landscape fabric?
My peonies do not flower. I have tried everything!!
I'm in your zone and tried some in crates that haven't done well...some never came up, those that did are much slower growing than my beds or grow bags..any tips for crates?
❤❤❤🕊️
Where did you order your plugs?
What lights do you use on your bakers rack?
So u stopped growing veggies for ur family ¿ I remembered when u switched to flower farming u were still growing ur own veggies on a smaller scale just to fill up ur freezer
Hi Serina. I have a question about growing yarrow in the fabric: Is it ok? Or is it best to grow it without the landscape fabric?
I am asking because I planned a pink yarrow in the fabric last year and this spring almost all my plants "moved". They sprouted next to the fabric opening, under the fabric. If I wouldn't have paid attention, I would have lost all of them. Is this normal? Thanks
I wouldn't plant yarrow in fabric at all as it does spread, slowly but needs some room to expand. They start quite small like little leafy offshoots, and anything hindering the growth will end up sort of wonky. That said, it is pretty resilient and I move mine all the time haha
Do you still sell vegetables, or are you 100% flowers farm
Do you fertilize your peyonies
!
Can you bring to retirement homes dad's?
Daffodil
please cut your "spending/buying" bulbs this year by at least 1/4 to 1/3. mark my words...
Why?
recoup ... 5 years on the farm and nothing put aside what has been spent...worthless.
The videos aren’t as fun without Ian 😞
I think he is behind the camera.
😂 the cat popping through the hole in the hoophouse!😂. Happy spring.
Don't even bother pinching year 2 peonies, money is better! 🤑🤑🤑
You'll be drowning in peonies in 10 years anyways, money upfront is more advantageous in the long run.
