I met Carrot Top when I was 13! He was doing a show in Macomb,MI and was staying at the hotel my dad managed at the time. He ended up giving like 5 of my dads employees including my dad front row tickets to his show. He was so down to earth. 😊

Had lunch with him one time at a bar in a store in Las Vegas Fashion show. He truly is just a super nice guy. He was waiting on his girlfriend and thankfully was a great 5 minute friend. Glad to see he's doing good.
I saw this comedic legend in the mid 90s at U Pitt in Johnstown, PA. My face hurt, jaw ached, stomach hurt from hunching over belly laughing for about 2 hours straight. Frickin hilarious. Love you Carrot Top. You’re my favorite comedian!

There was always a stigma going around about him for some reason. He was super famous, but kind of joked about. So without knowing him, you'd have some idea of him that isn't true. I watched his stand up one time and I was laughing. Dude is great man. It sucks he had to deal with that stigma, but I think it made him a legend in a lot of ways.

Huge part of my childhood right there. Major influence on my comedic style. Coworker and I needed a way to hold up a long side skirt on an outdoor hoop house to allow more airflow. So we cut 8in lengths of rope and made tiny slip knots to tie everything off. Another coworker saw this and asked us "why are you guys making tiny nooses?!" And I quickly replied "because we're just a little sad". Dark humor but the timing was too good

And it sucks that he never truly got his recognition because of the stigma that got built up around him being a prop comic. THE prop comic, at that. He's a genuine dude and he's always been true-to-the-core hilarious.
He's a prop comic and that has always been frowned upon by comics that do jokes or stories, it aint personal. Add his success to it and in the mean time him externally transforming to an 12 year old girl with a steroid abuse problem, and you have pretty much gotten to the core of why people are a little irritated.

One of the funniest performances of Billy Connolly I’ve ever seen was his monologue touched on the subject of spicy food and the burning shit that came after.
