It’s really annoying and saddening to see that some individuals don’t have the ability to be nice in general and take their anger out on others; sometimes to those that they have never seen before. They obviously have other problems in their lives that make them prone to this behavior and I always try to remind myself that it’s never personal and to keep moving on with my day. Girl I can relate, & I'm sure most people do. Just 2 days ago I was on the freeway in Santa Monica & a car switched lanes in front of me then flipped me off twice. I was completely confused cause I legit was driving like a normal person. They changed lanes again & I ended up next to them which was awkward since they were trying to fight me lmao & one of the passengers flipped me off & they started speeding as if trying to race. Bruh, I'm just trying to go to dinner 🤔 I was literally so confused haha like what was the point of all this unecessary anger.

What Weylie said in the car about treating other better is soooooo true!! I am from Beijing and have been living in Berlin for almost six years. I was running the other day and a guy was on a bike riding towards me. It was early morning so there are no other people on the road, just us. As he passed by, he spit on me, right on my face.... I could never see that coming, so I stood there trying to figure out what just happened. In the meanwhile, he was shouting something and riding away. Although shitty people are all around the world, but so do nice people! What happened to me is weird, gross and rude, but it also remind me to treat others in the nicest way I could.

I was just in a similar predicament last week and it really put a damper on my week and escalated my feelings (this was in my employee parking structure). It is very unfortunate some humans act that way, but the good news is you are not like that person and you will get through it. I completely agree that the guy shouldn’t have called you an idiot and that we should all exercise kindness, consideration & patience... But as someone that lives/drives in a big city, I can understand the frustration of people stopping where they shouldn’t. There are correct places to pull over (a parking spot) and incorrect places to pull over (especially if it’s not an emergency). The problem with the “it’s just a second” or “there’s plenty of space” or the “just go around me” mentality is that if everyone thinks that way, it can cause traffic, delays and at worst chaos (Ex: Uber drivers on Market St. before they were banned). Part of being kind and considerate is asking yourself what you could have done to avoid frustrating the other drivers as well.

I feel this so much!! I work in retail and I helped this lady. I was “smiling” but she asked me why I wasn’t smiling or why I wasn’t happy. She proceeds to jump down my throat and goes “ You work in retail, you need to be happy.” Mind her that I just got off a 6:45AM, 8 hour job and go straight to another job until closing. I just wanted to talk to someone about this because I don’t understand why, like you said, why people do this. Someone recently stole my phone when I was out to the mall. It was my fault I left my phone on the toilet dispenser, but I only came out like a minute, and I noticed my phone wasn’t there, and I freaked, ran back in, and saw that my phone wasn’t there. This lady was so nice enough to let me call my phone, and when I did, my phone turned off immediately. I was honestly mortified. I used my little sister phone, running around, trying to remember who came in before or after me, and finding solutions. But in my head, I was thinking like “why would anyone do this? Why?!” I wanted to breakdown and cry, even though it’s silly of me to cry about a phone, but my dad worked hard and bought me that phone. So I asked people/worker questions, ran around the mall to find the office or security guard, talked to them, they said “there’s nothing we can do your phone is gone.” I was pissed. I asked them if they could look through the cameras, and they did, and they told me a teenage girl and a teenage guy, seem like a couple, took your phone. “And?!” They knew who the look like, they knew it’s them, and yet they’re not helping me or telling me description about the teenagers. They rather sit in their a** rather than helping, so “cop” like of them, and to point out I was pissed. But I thanked them, and took off to try to find the teens for an hour. But I couldn’t so I went home to change everything that I was on my phone. I was so upset. I don’t understand why would they take it when it has a passcode, and I could obviously suspend the phone so there’s no way to access it. I’m just thinking like “how broke are you to take my phone and feeling good about it because it’s free? Why?!” Anyways, thank you Weylie for sharing your experiences. Mean people who do that are real cowards. They don't know how to be confrontational and respectful at the same time. And they really don't know what others are going through. It can easily trigger road rage or altercation. This can all be avoided if people can just have some kindness, patience, and understanding. I also hate drivers who honk you like crazy or flip you off to get you to make a turn when there are cars driving across the intersection in front. What is the rush?! At the end of the day, we live our own lives. Stay safe and don't let negativity bring you down. Thanks for sharing.

I was in terrible traffic trying to find a new doctors office when a man driving an AT&T van shouted at the top of his lungs at me as I drove by. It was so loud it startled me. I was so upset I almost turned around to go home. Or what I really wanted to do was follow him to get his plate number and report him to his employer but I know as a female not a smart thing to do. There was no need for that behavior.
It literally happened to me today too! I was waiting for my order at McDonald’s so the cashier asked me to pull up and wait and the lady gonna honk and curse me out as she drove away! It was ridiculous!
I'm sorry that happened to you :( Reminds me of something that happened to my bf recently. He parked his car by the meter and a group of us went for dinner. When we came back to the car, someone had left a note on his windshield wipers. It was from the person who parked behind him calling him an asshole and the cause of all negativity in the world. Like how unnecessary. But looking at my bf, the one thing he kept reminding himself was "maybe some people just are having their own struggles and we caught them on a bad day"

That's true...but I don't think it's reasonable being THAT expensive. I get maybe $30...but almost $60 is just crazy.

I just wanted to talk to someone about this because I don’t understand why, like you said, why people do this.
Someone recently stole my phone when I was out to the mall. It was my fault I left my phone on the toilet dispenser, but I only came out like a minute, and I noticed my phone wasn’t there, and I freaked, ran back in, and saw that my phone wasn’t there. This lady was so nice enough to let me call my phone, and when I did, my phone turned off immediately. I was honestly mortified. I used my little sister phone, running around, trying to remember who came in before or after me, and finding solutions. But in my head, I was thinking like “why would anyone do this? Why?!” I wanted to breakdown and cry, even though it’s silly of me to cry about a phone, but my dad worked hard and bought me that phone. So I asked people/worker questions, ran around the mall to find the office or security guard, talked to them, they said “there’s nothing we can do your phone is gone.” I was pissed. I asked them if they could look through the cameras, and they did, and they told me a teenage girl and a teenage guy, seem like a couple, took your phone. “And?!” They knew who the look like, they knew it’s them, and yet they’re not helping me or telling me description about the teenagers. They rather sit in their a** rather than helping, so “cop” like of them, and to point out I was pissed. But I thanked them, and took off to try to find the teens for an hour. But I couldn’t so I went home to change everything that I was on my phone. I was so upset. I don’t understand why would they take it when it has a passcode, and I could obviously suspend the phone so there’s no way to access it. I’m just thinking like “how broke are you to take my phone and feeling good about it because it’s free? Why?!”

It takes so much more energy to be mean. It is so sad that society is this way, when we have such an easier life than like our grandparents had.
Mean people who do that are real cowards. They don't know how to be confrontational and respectful at the same time. And they really don't know what others are going through. It can easily trigger road rage or altercation. This can all be avoided if people can just have some kindness, patience, and understanding. I also hate drivers who honk you like crazy or flip you off to get you to make a turn when there are cars driving across the intersection in front. What is the rush?! At the end of the day, we live our own lives. Stay safe and don't let negativity bring you down. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you 🙏🏻I had the exact thing happen to me 2 weeks ago. I was in terrible traffic trying to find a new doctors office when a man driving an AT&T van shouted at the top of his lungs at me as I drove by. It was so loud it startled me. I was so upset I almost turned around to go home. Or what I really wanted to do was follow him to get his plate number and report him to his employer but I know as a female not a smart thing to do. There was no need for that behavior.
It literally happened to me today too! I was waiting for my order at McDonald’s so the cashier asked me to pull up and wait and the lady gonna honk and curse me out as she drove away! It was ridiculous!

I'm sorry that happened to you :( Reminds me of something that happened to my bf recently. He parked his car by the meter and a group of us went for dinner. When we came back to the car, someone had left a note on his windshield wipers. It was from the person who parked behind him calling him an asshole and the cause of all negativity in the world. Like how unnecessary. But looking at my bf, the one thing he kept reminding himself was "maybe some people just are having their own struggles and we caught them on a bad day"
